Also some things like shattered strength was a minor trait and it gave 2 stacks of might per shatter.
Your phantasms could not be obstructed and thus could be summoned on walls in wvw for example.
Full zerk power PU build is godtier while roaming, gs/sword torch hoelbrak runes -condifood (since there’s lots of bad condibuilds out there).

What BlackDevil said, PU power builds have almost the same burst kittenter (as some people think you need to build up for phantasms to do damage or run a torch offhand…).
Also to note is while traiting chaos line you get +300 toughness and 30% boonduration while illusions give shatter recharge rate and condidamage, which means you can run a fairly tanky build with as much offensive stats as a shatter. TBH the only thing I really miss when running a PU build is the on demand distortion when using shatters.
In GvGs a PU mesmer is better at surviving other hitman squads and applies the same if not better pressure to backline classes than a shatter. In WvW raids your job is mostly to just veil and maybe timewarp (which then gets applied to your support/tank class roles and is completely wasted).
I run both shatter and pu builds while playing wvw (be it roaming, raiding or gvg), having fun with both specs but pu is just overall better spec to roam with.
The reason why desolation is pulling ahead now is FSP is way too weak, they provide free ppt. With AG and AM, they could cap their stuffs back and not let desolation keep free pts for several hours.
FSP too weak eh. Thank your oceanic Pain Train karma train who’s strong opponent is a Veteran guard. PT zerg is so bad, any equal number of pugs can wipe them. Sadly FSP or even mighty Gandara don’t have coverage at 7 am. Last night, late, we repelled 3 consecutive attacks on FSP garri simply by wiping you, including omega rush and 2 way attacks. But we lost it eventually as people went to sleep at 3 AM. So my friend, enjoy while it lasts. Get your silver dolyak, and then, really hope you guys get rolfstomped by Vizunah and Baruch once the leagues are over.

There has to be a bug of some sort. SoR is queued right now on green and we can’t get more than 20-25 rallied on our commander. We’ve checked every inch of the map looking for 55 other people running around doing their own thing but they ain’t there.
We’ve had the exact same thing happening on Desolation home BL which is BLUE for the entire season. Just a lot of guys running around aimlessly or trying to farm ap.

If you tried to use one, it would blink in your skillbar and never get used. You used sometimes ur F1 and every time u used it, it got activated immediatly. Not really, based purely on WvW numbers we would probably struggle to place in the top half of silver, it all depends on the PvE’ers, and that is the same for any server.
If you really think it’s crap come to deso for a week and see for yourself. The WvW alliance we have acts in the best interests of the W v W people.. not catering for the PvE people that pop in now and again, and based on the numbers we have EXCLUDING PVE’ER’s, we would struggle to field any competive force outside primetime.
I don’t have to explain Deso politics or situation to you, if you don’t believe the many posts all saying the same thing from many long standing Deso players and leaders that is your problem not ours, seriously come and see for yourself by actually being ON Deso, not just guesting in some PvE area.. See how many guilds we actually have for WvW, see the amount of players on each map, I dare you.
We play the hand we are dealt as the saying goes, and Deso is in the best place that we could hope for, given the current state of the server. We don’t expect to stomp any server to be hinest, we expect a challenge, and we want it, it is up to you all to bring it

When you see a thief jumping and stealthing on your clones when you are downed, he probably is not trying to stomp you. You might want to keep this in mind.

My suggestion? Have ‘Bloodlust’ only apply to allied npc’ s like Guards and Lords. That way it will still have meaning without simply making all players of the most dominant server even more powerful.
Maybe either include siege damage with that or also add a buff to walls and doors.
Give a buff that grants 25% more siege damage against walls and doors or something along those lines, something to help a faction with nothing on the map get a jump on taking some stuff, not as important to the team which usually has everything..
Keep ppt on stomp, no stat buffs, spawn a daily chest with an assortment of ascended materials when you take 3 of 5 on a BL to keep people coming through the middle of the BL’s all day(but not staying all day, chest with timer) to get in the fight.
I really like the chest idea as an incentive. Devon said they were already planning on adding liquid wxp as drops, so they are creating an incentive to go there for fights.
Except you get more drops from zerging hence more liquid wxp from bags so doesn’t really give any more incentive.
Seen a lot more condition mesmers running around lately in wvw, and now that borderlands got the bloodlust points to hold, you cannot just run away from them if you want that point.
Too much of a faceroll build, takes like 10 minutes to fight because of all the cleansing you have to do, which ends in a draw most likely. Or then you mess up your cleanses and die to condiburst.
SFR = 4x number of deso (if all 4 borders counted together), yet when they loose a battle with 20% more people then Deso they STILL need to call 30 people more in from other border to win.

Every time i see a fair battle (equal numbers, no calling in friends), fairplay score of SFR will go up one glicko. Let’s see, still only 5 glicko as off now, will SFR change it’s kitten nature, to good.
Gotta give it to piken square at least that server doesn’t use number to force a victory. I dislike their style but at least they do fairplay when zerg vs zerg is in play.

facts are facts, after ascended weapons were introduced , i’ve started farm for 3 days orr temples like crazy, since SFR had poor pve population, i did that by guesting on desolation.
Desolation had over 30 comanders on Cursed Shore and queue on Cursed Shore , Frostgorge Sound. I am sorry if Desolation cannot drag his population in WvWvW. You got enough population to double SFR coverage, you got enough commanders to triple the SFR leaders. However when you fight against SFR and vizunah , you got no more queue’s on wvwvw , and you get outmanned.
So you can accuse SFR because they builded wvwvw community, for training randoms, for providing them an entertaining place in wvwvw, or you can rebuild your wvwvw comunity , and fight against them.
Deso was against SFR and vizunah for months, called SFR unstable and bandwagon, but the time proved contrary.
But don’t tell that SFR have an larger wvwvw population, Desolation have also, lost somewhere betwen fractals and cursed shore Edit this is not an server that lack population for wvwvw (attachament), looks more like terrified
Those same pve people been on this server for a year now, people in LA laugh at wvw needing help. They just want Pve which you saw your own eyes.
Also tried to educate newer people to scout, siege locations, siege refreshment etc. Only a few care, rest want pvdoor karmatrain. And when things get tough ie. equal numbers or more zergs and no more free doors @night our numbers disappear.
I really hope our massive amounts of new players and Pve scrubs learn that you actually have to fight sometimes and not just pvdoor… Seeing people wipe instantly time after time is just… sad.
Ofc you can be awesome in like 1v1 situations, and with a condition mesmer you can easily 1v3 enemies as it is one of the most OP builds atm in the game.
The fact remains that in a 20v20/25v25 fights all that shiny condition application or trying to get full 3 clone shatters isn’t going to happen or even make a difference. Condition cleansing is INSANE in GvGs thanks to guardians and warriors.
There’s also the thing that you aren’t going to tag people much in zerg fights, which is one thing why people don’t even want to bring mesmers in wvw, other than to run with roaming builds that won’t do anything in zvz fights. Guardians staff 1 spam or warrior hammer swinging left to right tags WAY more and with a lot more efficiency. Eles spam aoe fields all day long and necros come in 2nd best at that.
If you haven’t got a guardian you should really roll one and see how faceroll that class is in large fights. Playing a mesmer in a group, besides veil, nullfield and occasional portal, nets you very few kills and feels very unrewarding.

1. thing is: wvw isnt about 1v1 get over it make a build that ius viable 1vs X and has good escape.. when you have the wrong class for it well your fault but dont cry about your own mistakle choosing the wrong class

I know wvw isn’t about 1v1, but I know when a class is built for duels/smallscale. And I know 1vx happens for every server but a lot of people don’t even want to 1v1 and just /laugh at your corpse. I don’t get mad about it, it’s just boring.

Was disconnecting bout every 10 minutes or so. Disabled Avast antivirus and now it doesn’t seem to disconnect but gives hellish 10s lagspike bout every 10 minutes. This started today.

Here is a serious question to deso and viz players… when you are fighting a single player either 1v1 or even 3 of you vs me… why do you run away half way through the battle then come back with a small zerg?

Haven’t seen much individual skill from your side either, usually 1v2 or more.
Still doesnt prove Deso is better when they make lowest income during EU Prime time. Where as Sparta alone covered over 50 points on map against whole Deso map. But if you say 35 is a Blob that can wipe a blob of 70 – Its again the same… 35 skillful over headless deso chicken who hide inside t3 keeps with 2x numbers and still lose.
Now I dont have to go around proving the difference in numbers and skills since you guys proved it yourself. That is all I wanted to hear.

Happened to me today when trying to stomp someone. Not sure was it because of lag but i could hit the body when hitting air to the side of the actual model. Couldn’t stomp though.

Post the vids. That is all. No more l2p, no more spvp, post the vids of you in WvW handling a decent lvl 80 thief, and no vids of you playing a thief to counter a thief.
I can post links to plenty of vids of thieves handling groups so i just want to see your proof.
Um… You mean like watch any video of any class where they kill a thief? Lol.
Rather than asking for somthing so mundane, just go to WvW and watch any tanky guardian built for small teams who knows what he or she is doing. Or doesn’t… They will win just about 100% of the time even just because retaliation and heals. With equal or even lesser skill, D/D eles will win most of their engagements. So will 1v1 mes if they survive the initial burst (illusions/clones are unaffected by culling), and tanky warriors with the right weapon sets. I don’t know ranger or engineer, those seem weaker vs thieves.
Maybe what you’re seeing most is that thieves always have a 1v1 build because that’s their entire skill set for every weapon (except shortbow I guess). While other classes are generally specced for larger fights which inherently gives them a disadvantage against roaming setups.
Engi’s fair fine, even at UP in wvw, if a BS thief comes, use elixir s and heal up, switch to nades and blind on ground.
Also, eventhough it’s been said already in this thread, people SHOULD go and try thieves in wvw for a while and try running around 10 people permastealthing and killing people with full berserker, just to see how easy it is to survive with 11k hp when people are spamming attacks all over them.
CnD from critters at times is annying, but if they do that then the CnD isn’t damaging you. CnD is also fairly easy to dodge since you can almost guarantee a thief is going to hit you with it when running straight at you.
And before anyone comes with the “another thief defending his class and telling others to L2P”, I’ve played all the classes in wvw, currently leveling an engi.
