Please stop using the word shortly, when you don;t mean it, your definition seems to mean , we will get back to you in a week or si, or when hell freezes over. What ever it is, it is not a short amount of time.

I don’t think they should let you keep it, that just gives people that buy from farmers an easy way around getting caught,

Step1: Buy gold
Step2: On receipt of Gold report to GM
Step3: GM, rewards player for honestly in reporting farmer by letting them keep gold.
Player walks away laughing and rich.

Maybe they could let you keep 1% of it, that wouldn’t be so bad.

Or better yet, have AN provide an authenticator key fob so that we can use it every single time we log into the game, forums or our accounts. In other games I use an authenticator fob to add a random sequence of numbers after I key in my password and before I am allowed access. I’ve not had any problems with this.

I would have no problem purchasing a small $5-$8 item for security purposes.

The amount they will need to spend on sorting all this out, it would have been cheaper to have just given out key fobs with each copy sold :/

Hey all,

I’ve been in much the same boat as many other people here it would seem. I’ve been waiting on a correction to my split account problem (ticket 120831-011009) since the 30th of August. I’m starting to think with an initial experience like this that the only resolution will be to walk away. This whole experience has left me very disheartened with the Guild Wars 2 experience and while each day I check my email several times a day hoping a resolution has been made I’m instead left with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I wish everyone else here luck but I don’t want to spend what could be potentially weeks more waiting/hoping/praying just so that I can log into a game with my characters I recreated and enjoy so much from my guild wars 1 account. Even if it did get resolved weeks/months from now I’d feel to much resentment toward the game to want to actually log in.

pretty much feeling the same, I am outraged at how we seem to have been cast aside and that support seem so disinterested in sorting out are account/serial key issues.
I still would like to play, but have lost the passion to play, the way we have been treated has really ruined the game play experince (if you can call it that while we have been left waiting for nearly 3 weeks.

At this stage I do not feel that just fixing our accounts is good enough to make up for the lengh of time we have had to wait with very little communication to what should be a simple and quick fix!

I really am at the end, I am about to go seek advice from consumer rights as this really is not acceptable!!!!!

I got my acount back after ~78 hours.
People just have faith and be patience and remember to co-opperate with GMs!!

after more than 18 days, I think my patience has been used up and my faith is gone. approaching yet another weekend and no sign that I’ll be able to play.

Its pretty evident that fully pre-paid CE customers aren’t important since they have our money already.

(hows that charge back thing work again?)

Day 17, Ticket still unresolved, I did finally get a reply on the 9th, which asked for my serial numbers (info that I had previously given in the same ticket).
Not heard anything since I replied with the requested info and more.
I hope it wouldn’t be 14 days until the next response.

I put my trust in Anet and this game, by paying upfront for a CE boxset, we where promised a 3 day head start, but what we got was a 2 week plus set-back.

Anet has failed to deliver on what was promised so it is only fair that something is offered in recompense.

It’s day 14 in the Big Guidwars house and the house mates are hanging around in the forum’s discussing their serial keys issues.
The Diary room appears to be locked I guess the support team don’t want to talk to anyone today.
Nerradus sends himself an email, yep the email address seems to work perfectly.

It’s now time for todays task, if the housemates can complete the task in the given time, they might get extra cupcakes.

I have been waiting for a week for a seemingly simple issue. Also because of your vagueness and backwards prioritization I have no lost my [wrong] account due to hacking. I have done everything in my power to resolve this. Due to sloppiness I have now lost my GW1 and 2 accounts as well as my GW2 [correct] account (due to amazingly bad implementation of serial registration).

I have been patient… I have gone to every length to get any feedback or reassurance… or even an estimation. I have PMed Gaile on here… 2 tickets on supprot, 1 ticket through NCSoft, scoured the interwebs for a phone number for you guys. Posts and messages on reddit and facebook.

I have been very supportive of this game: testing during all BWEs and stress tests, recruited 6 friends to buy this, purchased 20 dollars worth of gems and got the DE directly from you guys rather than GameStop…. I even chipped in some money to send you guys some cupcakes. I have been a raving fanatic of this game since I heard about it. It honestly is the most fun I have ever had. I really just want some direct communication about these things. You can’t keep your customers blind and expect them to sit there unquestioning.

I love this game…. the passion and love you guys poured into it can be felt… it is simply amazing. Please take some easy steps in the next few days to show that you guys really care. Add secret questions to change email, get temps to help sort out all the tickets, add CVV verification to credit cards… allow them to be removed, but most importantly…. respond to tickets… we are being neglected and that is probably why you guys are getting slammed with fines from chargebacks. Please show us you care.

If you want to help me out you can get my accounts (GW1 and 2) back from those hackers (Loyheta.5638) Then you can move my key/make my account live for the account I wanted my serial key on Loyheta.7294. Most mmos have you make an account and THEN add the serial keys to it…. not this backwards method of enter the same info and get a second different account. I am reaching my breaking point and I will probably do a chargeback on the 15th if I get no progress.

Why are serial code problem not seen as important over Banned accounts? We haven’t tried to use exploits we haven’t offended or abused anyone in game, we are just victims of a poorly made account management system and yet we are seemed less of a priority than someone that is abusive or has tried to use an exploit.

As someone has already sugested just turn our pre-purchase account back on for now, so we can play until you have a fix or time to implement one. that way everyone win’s and you would have less demands for refunds..

I am so fed up with the support group, I have received an email three times asking for information to unlink my gw1 account and I have responded every time with the same information. I swear they don’t read past the first line and send a generic email back. Can I get some help here, I have had tickets open about this since April when I pre-purchased and was assured I would have this fixed before launch. Here we are two weeks after launch with still no help. Please look into this ticket 120826-001115 because waiting a few days is one thing but bringing this up since April with no help is just ridiculous.

I felt the same, with my first few tickets, it felt lik ethey barely read the first line before sending a generic link list.

Can’t help think that maybe if they actually took the time to read and reply to a ticket properly, they would get through them much quicker.

I wish this could give some encouragement, but after 12 days now and seeing that others ahave been resolved and waited a lot less, I can’t help but feel the system is broken, the account managemnt is the worst i’ve seen from any MMO, and if we had a better system from the start we wouldn’t be in the situation we are in now.

The Game it self is great, (if we could play it), but basic account management and security isn’t exactly a new science, yes there are a lot of subscriber’s but that is still no excuse, other MMO’s can handle such numbers, and yes at first I would expect some connectivity problems and lag as thats normal for the start of any game, but not account managment problems.

I just hope that if I ever get back into game, I still have the will to play it.

Nothing, there’s no sub fee so you haven’t technically ‘lost’ any time. If there WAS a sub fee, they’d actually be working hard to get people acc’s back so they DIDN’T have to compensate people, but that’s not the case here. lol

Technically I have the right to a full refund, under the consumer rights act, as I have been sold a product or service that hasn’t delivered.

This is ridiculous. Well over a week now unable to play, all my friends have passed me. Spent a lot of money on the Collector’s Edition just to not even play it. I know they have a lot of tickets to handle right now but COME ON.

Same for me, am now thinking of talking to trading standards, because we have been sold a product that doesn’t seem fit for purpose, and I’m feeling abit scammed right now.

I have the exact same problem as the OP, Account didn’t upgrade, just created a new account (this one, can’t login on my main one). Also my GW account linked to this account, reported it 6 days ago, heard nothing from support.
