The spoon is not 100% drop, I have killed Tequatl & not received a spoon, although it is more welcome than a bloody Rune of the Sunless, as it sells for 5x the amount
Tequatl is harder than Jormag
Jormag’s Claw Fragment is not account bound & the spoon is.
I have salvaged like > 500 items.. and then I get a basic salvage kit as reward for level 38 ?? Is this really a reward or is Arenanet making fun of us !! ??
Are you seriously complaining about something you are getting for free?
2 weeks ago you got nothing for levelling up (apart from a skill point), now you get a reward & you are complaining because “It’s not good enough”.
The information regarding the Feature Pack is not content, it is a weekly list of what is coming on 9/9 update.
The Living Story is on hiatus , probably so that the staff can have a vacation.
That looks pretty awesome. Nice job & well presented.
Which class are you on? Engineers & Elementalists can not weapon swap.
DEAR Anet
I will soon have 18 lvl 20 scrolls from birth “presents”. 8 of which will not stack for storage. I have this game for 2 years. They have no use for me.
Did you purposely made them not stack? Please give us something useful or at least make them stack. THank you.
If you have no need for 18 of them, why are you keeping them?
Why not keep the few that do stack & delete the ones that do not?
The problem isn’t with TTS, it’s with people too lazy to organise their own runs, with Guild mates, allied Guilds & friends.
I’d like the Asuran to start work on a time travel device, so that I can go back to Pre Searing Ascalon & it’s neighbouring areas that we didn’t get to see.
Ah, regarding the Hero Panel wardrobe section, I see what you are describing.
The Hero Panel Wardrobe listings are displayed in the order in which they were unlocked by your account and not alphabetically as seen in the bank wardrobe. It is quite odd that it is in this order instead of alphabetically and that alphabetically is not even an option for order.
In my listings, Adventurer’s Spectacles was the last medium skin I unlocked so it is last in my headgear listing. Viper’s Monocle in the middle, and my first one listed is Rawhide Mask. Bizarre decision for ordering. (image)
It would be nice if the alphabetical listing of armor skins seen in the bank wardrobe were extended to the Hero Panel’s listings as well.

Yup, this is what I was referring to. Finding a nice set helm & then spending ages finding the corresponding slot pieces is rather time consuming.
I am referring to the wardrobe on the Character screen, used for transmutation, not the wardrobe accessed by the banker.
Whenever I want to transmute I need to hover over every piece until I find the right one, some pieces are easily identifiable by their look, others are not.
I’m really liking the changes to the way the wardrobe works, my only issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any logical order that the items are sorted into.
Unless I have missed it somewhere in the settings, is there any way we can sort the wardrobe alphabetically, thereby making it easier to find items of the same set?
Problem solved, I relogged a few times (first 3 had no effect), & it appears I can now purchase a character slot.
I went to the Gem store to purchase an additional character slot. On the upgrade it states “You have already purchased the maximum number of this item”, I find this very puzzling as up to now I have purchased 0 additional character slots.
The only upgrades I have purchased are bank tabs, which have nothing to do with character slots.
General PvE = Game soundtrack, there is some awesome ambient music in the different zones.
Dungeons/Fractals = My own music, currently on Playlist C, which is The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Cult & Pearl Jam.
Doing a 200k backstab on a bunny
My son uses the hammer burst skill on my Warrior. He shouts “Hadouken” when he leaps towards unsuspecting critters.
I for one can’t wait for the WoW expansion, not to play it of course, I won’t go back to WoW ever. I detest it so much now I deleted every single one of my Lvl 90 Characters & gave away everything I had.
I’m hoping all the people that want to turn GW2 into WoW will leave & let those of us who love GW2 play in peace.
I use random comments in map chat player asks “where’s the train”. I reply “King’s Cross”
I say “You’re in my spot” when standing on the blocks at Golem Mark II.
I jump way too much on my Asuran.
I replace profanity with “Baby Cat” in chat
I use skills to create random statements in Lions Arch.
Plus many more that don’t come to mind.
But for myself? I could really not care any less, I found SAB quite bad, boring and not worth the time Anet spend on it.
SAB is developed by one guy, & his sole job is jumping puzzles (from what I’ve heard)
I’m hoping that the reason the SAB has been absent for so long, is that he has been working on a Super Awesome 2nd Anniversary puzzle.
They could put in a system that allows you to sell it back to the vendor within a certain time frame.
Or a system similar to the Red writing when an item is not usable by your class/race, something like “You already have this item equipped”
Why hang onto chest if you have no intention of buying keys?
We have ONE look on ascended gear (per armour class)…. Exotics have loads… all other rarities also have loads.
I wish there could be (at least) one more ascended armour look added soon…. Made with the same care and love as the existing set (thinking of how well u’ve been dealing with clipping, “dye-ability”, fitting in general etc – for all races).
Anyone who agrees with me?
The reason we have one Ascended look is due to the time constraints in acquiring the gear.
Can you imagine the uproar if Sentinels or Clerics gear had a better look than Bezerker (which is what most seem to run)?
No one wants to spend one month & hundreds of gold crafting a set of armour, just for the look.
It’d make more sense to have Elona first, accessed via the crystal desert which is right next to Fields of ruin, there is a gate there already.
Doing WvW for map completion is a pain in the baby cat. However, if you do it bit by bit over the course of a few days / weeks it can be a lot less frustrating.
Try doing it for 1/2 an hour a day whilst gathering materials for your Legendary & it will seem less of a chore.
Fastest is by crafting all professions to 400, definitely not the cheapest but fastest.
The bigger problem is players who get defeated & just lay there waiting for the event to end so they can get their reward.
They should get a reduced reward, due to the fact that they have contributed less to the success of the event than players that waypoint & return to attack the boss.
I just reached 10,000 achievements
And as good as it feels it’s not offering much in a sense of prestigeThe gear is a nice touch but it’s all the same. (Zenith)
Maybe give us the option to level again from level 1
And then reaching 80 unlocked prestige skins or weaponsAfter all leveling is wht makes this game fun, I would do it again.
So you’re playing for prestige. You’re playing to impress other people. I get it now. People don’t care what you have in game. It’s an MMO. No matter what you do, you won’t be a special little snowflake.
I’m at over 19,000 achievement points and no one gives a kitten . And that’s okay. Why should it even matter?
This is abssolutly not true. It’s one of the main diffrences between MMOs and Single Player RPG’s.
One of the big points of the MMOS is after all your work you can “brag” your self to other people, make you feel diffrent from everyone else, make you feel more “heroic”. That’s why endgame exists, people are done getting their chars to maximum level and now it’s not only about making your char more efficient as it is also to be able to be recognized by other players for something that you have done / achieved. After all that’s the WHOLE point of the Titles and Legendaries.I totally agree with that in gw2 there is no way to show off your skills and things you achieved .
Is your real life so lacking, that you have to get satisfaction from bragging to complete strangers about a few shiny pixels you have acquired?
I’d like to see a weapon skill tree, kinda like the Trait system, where you can put points in certain lines to unlock abilities that can replace the standard set of weapon skills.
I knew it: the pale tree is the target of mordremoth. Seemed obvious to me anyhow…
The Pale Tree is working for Mordremoth. She set Scarlet up as a scapegoat to draw attention away from herself.
Having all the leaders gather in her back garden is an brilliant move on her part, now she has them right where she wants them.
How about this, stop bloody complaining & start your own jump.
Compare the open world content to high level Fractals.
Which gets more frequent updates and new content.
Now. Which gets played more often? Which one doesn’t because of the lack of updates and repetitiveness?FOTM alone is makes less than 1% of the whole the available PvE content hence gets played far less.
And I’ve never heard of Lord Of The Rings online.
Provide the same info with Wildstar. It’s been provided for Guild Wars 1 and WoW. Can’t give you info on Wildstar, but I’d bet that if the game doesn’t attract and hold casuals the game will end up with a very small player base.
Do you guys not listen to what devs have said from different games over the years?
You think GW2 has a massive player base? (not including china) I would be shocked if theres even close to 50k concurrent players at peak times in EU+NA
Regardless, the point I think is that there is MORE THAN ENOUGH casual content in this game already.
What on earth could possibly drive away more players than it already has to add just something remotely challenging content or revamp dungs to add a harder mode with better rewards? even if everyone can’t do it, its something to progress towards. compared to other terrible forms of progression this game has.Right..
how often id lv50 fractals completed?
Do you play lv50 fracs? in zerk ascended gear? How often does arah get completed? (can you solo arah? )
or TA aetherblade path? The majority of the community don’t want to even aim to be able to complete them.
And most importantly, for the hardcore players, how long do these dungeons stay challenging?
Really? You are using Fractals lv50 as if it was EVEN close to a good dungeon! For you to even get to level 50 you have to play the same fracts over, and over, and over, and over, and over and over! With the same boring-kitten mechanics and same scenarios OVER AND OVER again. People don’t play lv50 fracs not because they are too hard to do, but because nobody feels like grinding the same scenarios over and over again just so that later they can do the same scenario but slightly harder.
How is that not Endgame??
Endgame is by definition repeating the same dungeon every week until you have the gear to progress to the next level.
Just because Fractals don’t match YOUR idea of endgame, does not mean it isn’t Anet’s idea of endgame.
If you don’t like it then their are a plethora of other games that offer conventional endgame.
I do them all everyday, including Teq & Tri wurm. I’ve had 1 Ascended weapon chest drop from Teq, fortunately it was something my main can use & I got a sceptre.
On a side note, a guild mate just had one drop from a Guild Bounty reward.
I play on Gandara have yet to see a map not reach T4. Last night there were at least 2 T5 maps that I was aware of.
Getting to T4 or T5 takes coordination & teamwork, if your server can’t do this, it is not Anet’s fault.
In your 13 hours of waiting, were you
1: Actively doing events?
2: Actively trying to rally people to do events?
3: Asking Guild mates to help out if they weren’t busy?
4: Popping in & out of the map to see which tier it had progressed to, like most people do lately?
All I’ve noticed so far was longer loading screens.
Hmm. I noticed the same thing, thought it was my internet being annoying.
I think GW2 is more suited to younger players, that’s why I got my son an account.
The fact that you can’t kill steal or hijack resource nodes in GW2 makes it perfect for players starting out, that might not know the proper etiquette in Mmo’s.
Sorry to say that Anet doesn’t have to do diddly squat. Some people got a refund some people didn’t. Only moderators read the forums and only then to delete posts or lock threads. Rather than go on and on about it in the forums, you’d be better off spending the same effort submitting tickets.
(Personally though, I don’t think you really deserve a refund, but that’s not what this thread is about so that’s a discussion for another thread and another day)
Well that’s just like your opinion man…
I also continue to submit tickets until anet can tell me what the difference is between my situation and those that got refunds or they compensate me. I would probably quit if they gave me a good reason.
Judging by your confrontational title & posts, I’m guessing your initial tickets were demanding, which may be why they have decided not to refund you.
You have to remember, kindness & manners go a long way.
The drop is lousy, very demotivating. for me is the worst game, I have more than 5000 h. game, and I never left anything for example the precursor … then you can spend all day playing doing whatever or an exotic leaves that does not make sense the magic finding is the worst scam out there, nothing is noticed, the more you have worse things out …
PD: Sorry for English
One thing that gets me is when people post how many hours they have played, yet fail to post what they’ve been doing for those hours.
Of your 5000+ hours, how many of them were actively spent farming or killing mobs?
How many were spent mindlessly milling around town crafting or browsing the Trading post?
How many were spent waiting for events to spawn?
Once you break it down it doesn’t seem to be that much, and I’m guessing the people that get multiple exotic drops & precursors don’t do world boss jumps, but actually spend hours farming.
NO SAB PLZ !!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!
I don’t understand anyone who is opposed to SAB. It’s not like you have to complete it in order to access your bank or traits or anything… it’s just a part of the game. It’s like… like… objecting to the mere existence of… well, anything in game. The crab toss. Dredgehaunt Cliffs. Vizier’s Tower. Sapphire dye. Belcher’s Bluff. 5 karma vendors who all sell the same stuff standing next to one another. Copper ore. Salvage kits. I don’t see anyone raging about the fact that these things exist in a persistent fashion in the game. What is it about SAB that evokes responses like this? There is literally no reason you have to even think about doing SAB if you don’t want to.
Probably because they suck at it as it takes a modicum of skill., or you can’t do it as a train or zerg (which is all most people seem capable of these days), or they complain for the sake of complaining, take your pick.
I, on the other hand, can not wait for its return.
Never stated there’s no reason to join one. Just saying there is not much benefit outside of social, and guild missions. Its also problematic the game don’t priorities and leave slot open for guildies to come to bigger events like teq and wurm. Plus dungeons are at most 5 man, so you are bound to leave out some people that really wants to come.
How exactly would prioritising slots for Guildies solve anything? Pretty much everyone that goes to the Mega bosses is in a guild & would therefore have a slot prioritised for their fellow members.
How about a Race Altering Potion. We already have potions that can be used in combat (Watchknight Tonic), so this is possible. Put it on 1 hour use, 5 min cool down so that it unrestrictive.
I very much doubt we will get anything like this.
On a different note, I’m not sure if it’s the way that Google translates it, but I found the “Feng Ting Type” heading to be extremely amusing.
After seeing this notice in the Feature Update:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/account-bound-wxp-legendaries-and-ascended-gear/?utm_source=client
I am intrigued as to what will happen to the stats that the weapon/ Armour currently holds.
I currently have Ascended rings on my Guardian that are surplus to requirement, the stats however, are not suitable for my Thief.
How, if at all will stats be changeable?
Yup, I have my lucky spot.
Up against the Pillar in line with the ramp leading to the Auction House.
My lucky routine:
Only use Great swords from top to bottom & left to right, in the order of 1; 3; 4; 2.
And finally:
Only on a Sunday night.
I’m not sure if this has previously been mentioned, but there is an apparent bug with Jumping Puzzle chests.
Last night I did Chaos Crystal Cavern (for the first time in ages), and the chest was already open, this has happened on 2 previous occasions with 2 different puzzles, all since the latest update.
I am not alone in this, I normally do a whole batch of Puzzles with 3 or 4 fellow Guildies, and they have reported a similar issue.
Jumping puzzles reset at the same time as dailies, however, there seems to be a bug affecting the reward chests.
I did Chaos cavern last night (haven’t done it in ages) & the chest was open, so no reward. People in my Guild have noticed the same with other chests in various puzzles.
Oh, another point – it seems that a prerequisite to answering questions on this forum is a snotty attitude. Excuse me once again, this time for not being the “l33t g@m3r” that you people so obviously are. Wait… no excuse needed. I’m glad I’m not and hope I never adopt the attitude on display here.
So, being observant & reading an items description makes you a l33t g@m3r?
Peoples attitude is not snotty, just frustrated at how many people immediately turn to the forums to complain, before actually reading an items description.
I can’t tell what’s going on in those pictures. Is it supposed to be some sort of Where’s Waldo game? :P
I found him, he’s behind Onwa Ayomide: Middle right of picture.
I refuse to get a legendary till they have some kinda skill or epic based content to earn them with, I would like to see them roll out some content that tests players builds and skills and rewards those who push forward. Oh and don’t get me started on fractals I’m just 19 shy of being at 500 runs and being 1 shot from anything is hardly skill based fights fractals are pretty tame and easy still. Give us content that tests us and makes us think while rewarding those who do so without RNG to everything under the sun.
Yes…an actual (long) quest to earn a legendary would be nice…not this “buy it off the TP” garbage or something to that effect… that’s not “legendary” imo.
So don’t buy your Legendary weapon. Craft one yourself, don’t buy a single item from the Trading Post. That will make it pretty kitten legendary.
It’s been said a couple of times in this thread that there isn’t an achievement point associated with this sample – the Islet sample – but.. there is? o_o There’s a point for all of them .. right? Or was I seeing things last night? Dulfy’s guide even says to get it for a point towards the 25 ..
“There are 11 samples but you only need to to scan 10 samples for the Southsun Volunteer Fieldwork achievement (however, get all 11 if you want the Southsun Stalwart achievement).”
Finally someone has seen the reason for my original post, thank you.
All the people shouting “You don’t need it, you only need 10 for the achievement”, obviously failed to realise that ALL 11 are needed for the Meta achievement “Southsun Stalwart”.
I have no objection to working hard for something, and never expect something for nothing, hence the reason I completed the puzzle without the use of a Mesmer.
I was only complaining, because not every one has the patience of a Saint required to do the puzzle with so many others trying it at the same time.
(edited by Neurochazm.5370)
Oh my god, why do I have to do anything in the game, hand kitten over to me already, where are all my ascended items? Where the kitten is my Legendary? Why doesn’t ArenaNet let me use a bot program, why do I have to play the game myself to get anything
No, no, no.
Sheesh dude, take a chill pill.
I didn’t ask for anything to be handed over, all I said was placing a sample (whether it’s required or not) at the end of a jumping puzzle was not a well thought out idea.
I completed the puzzle, which was made more difficult with loads of people all trying it at the same time. Try timing a jump, onto floating stones with ~ 5-10 people doing exactly the same thing.
