No. Anet hit the engineer class with nerf bats over and over again, killing the power crit dps builds ( cos apparently doing a 15k crit was too much for engineers while 27k+ crits for warriors was not enough lol) and also removing condi dmg from all turrets except one ( how dare that engineer counter that 10k hp glass canon build thiefs broken imba invis spam ). If they nerf condi builds even more then wtf do i play? Healing power lol?

About 4 months after launch, I left NA IoJ server for EU SFR because my ping in wvw was dreadful. So it cuts both ways… NA get poor ping on EU… but EU get a poor ping in NA too.

Also the most skilled players in the game are not people who guild raid… they are the solo roamers. People like Wing from Kodash (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMzejeULiEXQGH3xQTDrGXg) or Laela where ever he may be now (https://www.youtube.com/user/OroNeyishi/videos)

Also gvg and wvw are two completely different things. RG were untouchable at gvg – but wvw? They sucked, they were a joke when they played on SFR. When they were not doing gvg, they were noted for leeching. Never once saw them take an objective on their own or initiate an attack.

So absolutely no point in talking about wvw and gvg in the same thread… completely different.

Wernt they originaly from blacktide and hopped later " in search of competition " when BT started to go down?

They could be from Hong Kong which is why you see them. H. K. and mainland China are very difirent in views about most things and have difirent cultures, its like comparing a 1st and a 3rd world country, the later ofc having all the censorships and other various problems.
That being said im still not 100% sure if H.K can play gw2 or they IP blocked out

Based on things like XFire and anything like it – yes the game is dying. BUT this game has no subscription fee, so the company was basicaly done with you once u bought the game. Also a certain fairy told me that the population of the servers depends on the amount of characters on a server rather then the actual online ( ofc that is yet to be confirmed).
p.s I just hope the kitten NCsoft doesnt start screwing with the game . Anything they start trying to fix or make ends up getting burried

The few things ive been rly wondering about in the past half a year are:
1. Do these guys from Anet actualy read thier own forums?

2. Why do they intentionaly maintain such obsurd imbalance between classes ( if this is accidental then maybe they should re-educate their balance team made of 2.5 staff members that play warriors ).

3. Why do they have this mentality " the more fun – the weaker the output" ? Its a know fact that the skillcap to play a warrior /thief or mesmer isnt even remotely close to the requierments to play an engineer just to keep up . To play an engineer at a good lvl , well, a typical warrior would probably fry his own brain while trying.

4. Why do they first make a class and only AFTER that think what his role should be and not the other way around?
( Anet obviously still didnt decide on enginners role . They nerf just about every decent build ppl come up with and yet havnt brought one up themselfs. so far is like
" good at nothing – bad at everything).
Does anyone have any ideas about all of this?

We dont have a oversee community and most of our people are going to work during the day.

Makes sense. From my past expiriences playing along side some german gaming communities i understood that a large amount of german players dont know how to be polite with foreigners , be it oversee ppl or just eastern europeans.

in that case what class is weaker? others have more dmg , others also have more survival, others have just as much cc ( some even a little more), we arnt top suports either and we also basicaly plalying the piano to just do what other classes do with 2-3 buttons ( like making 25k dmg or stacking heals or escaping, ANYTHING rly) which means we put tons more work and time into something just to be on par with another class, and that is not balance that is poor design, variety should be rewarded but in engineers case its not. Its like 2 ppl at the same job getting paid the same amount but one working for 8 hours and the other for 12

But rly, i dont know how many more years have to pass b4 the minority of players like you understand that a classes popularity shows exactly how weak or strong it is in ANY mmorpg

I agree with topic started, this class is so kitten dmg and survivability wise compared to most other classes, in order for an engineer just to keep up with other classes ( specialy warrior or thief or mesmer) u have to be playing at SUCH a higher skill lvl then them, and whats better engineer is still not the best suport and neither does an engineer stand out in the amount of ccs he has, infact, we have less then some other classes. In any case though i hope Anet dont fail again like in the previous patch and stop killing the least played class in the game alrdy , not gona even start about the bugs . Ofc its understandable since they have like what? 2 ppl working on class balance? But tbh as it was said earlyer, we as players ( and payers for this game )dont rly care what kind of problems they have with highering staff or why dont want to do it. Personaly for me one things clear, they either fix this whole thing or im out. I used to play some korean games and things like this were the exact reason i quit them.
I just wonder how in the world do they plan to make this into an E-sport game like they wanted, in the games current state.

we played vs 2 german servers holding hands for the first couple days too last week. One of them even had a great start

said this b4 will say this again, im so happpy to have transfered here one week ago . If i compare this to ring of fire , this servers WvWvW activity is like gods gift to me. GoGoGo SFR!!1

Just met a guild called “Far Shiverpeaks Deserters”. Don’t get me wrong i don’t downgrade your Server and the people that fought for SFR from the beginning, but fact is you are benefiting alot from those winning team joiners. If you were on a Server from the beginning through its ups and downs u can still be proud to win any battle no matter under what circumstances, those “deserters” however can’t

Still looking forward to some good fights, its not yet FSP’s time again, but it will come.

Btw. will SFR and Riverside remain making love to eachother while completely focussing on the weakest of the 3?

u know, riverside was the weakest out of our last match till the last 2-3 days but millers was the on getting smashed whole week nonstop basicaly just cuz of being a threat. Dunno if they atacked each other that much till the last day since they both german servers

I am very glad to have moved from the empty ring of fire where our guild was the only active WvW guild fighting alone vs enemy zergs to seaferers with many active and cooparetive ppl that not only want to win but also play to win. Very fun last couple of days
