i have been having DCing problems for a month or 2 now. i had contact with support etc.
the problem is package loss from one of the servers before it hits the game servers. i should still have the logs on my PC somewhere, and other people who ran this test have the same thing. it’s not about ping. latency is fine, but eventually you DC.
sometimes when i am with my guild in WvW it happens 3-4 times to any one of us. it is really frustrating if this is your commander.

also, most of the times when some of us DC from the game, we see everyone walking and using their skills like it should be, but our own skills wont cast, so that would mean that packages are ariving to us, but not being accepted/lost to the server

maybe disabling just the vertical up view for WvW only would make this A LOT better

ok, so field of view might not be the worst thing of all.
the biggest problem seems to be the vertical up thing.
it removes a big part of WvW. suprizing the enemy. removes tactics..
just look at the picture, im standing outside of bay. and i can see all the way to the lords room, i can see people on that gate, you can see people coming from miles away BEHIND an obstackle

never heard about this windowed mode though. pretty sure A LOT of people dont.
now every one is able to do it easy. VERY easy.

so… with this new camera change you can see over walls..
i say remove this, PLEASE.
field of view increase… FINE
but.. looking over walls? HELL NO
casting lines of warding on top of a wall? PFFFF

you used to be able to ambush people, suprize the enemy by charging around the corner.
this camera change completely removed that VERY good part for good organized guild groups.
the stability change makes it harder, or at least it’s a bigger challenge, but this suprize effect gone.. makes it even harder.

im listing this under bugs, since it’s kind of an exploit. it really is.
you should not be able to look over walls unless you are standing on a hill.
i am adding a picture as attachment, you will see me standing next to a wall, and i am looking inside bay. you can see over the wall, onto the bridge AND you can see the enemy on the inner gate.

the second and third pictures will be, me placing a line on top of a wall with this new camera change.

the camera change is nice for PvE. but it ruins a big part of WvW.

fix asap? please?

i just had contact with support about my connection and multiple people having the same problem. it’s related to some of the routes to the NCsoft servers being kitten.
as for the near 100% package loss on the NCsoft servers itself that is just them preventing ghost packages. it’s not actual data loss they do recieve what goes in the servers.

also, i live in Groningen (The Netherlands)
provider is Telfort,
server is Far Shiverpeaks.

i can still log back in but i hear a lot of people from sweden who cant even load the maps without a DC.
as for the dutch people most of them just skill lagg and rubber banding with a few DC’s

a lot of people including me are having loads of DC’s when playing WvW.
you try all the fixes, turn off fire wall, turn off antivirus, check your router, delete local.dat etc etc.
then you send a support ticket to Anet and the answer you’ll get after having some scans is that it is your ISP. which is BS.

it’s your ISP because tons of other people are having the same problem?
my dad plays GW2 and he plays PvE no problem at all, i go into WvW and every now and then there is a DC, some days you’ll get multiple DC’s sometimes you get none.
but as some 1 who raids with my guild it is really anoying to myself and the party i am in since they loose a guardian.

really Arena net, stop nerfing our connection everytime a big PvE update comes out and fix the servers. stop blaming our ISP’s…

i had exactly the same, even though i have my computer protected and i use long-kitten passwords i dont use anywhere else. might be a keylogger orso though. check for processes that are unwanted and maybe even the connections going in and out.

i contacted support and they helped me on this subject with fast responses. try it

thats not always the case though :/ the e-mail adress i previously used i only use for “serious” things like work and school. and then my GW2 account because thats trustworthy too xD
i had also used a password i have never used before.
unfortunately everything was compromized and i had to ship over everything, including GW2 e-mail adress, a kitten long password i had to write down etc.
luckly i had the help of support and fast responses on my side.

the fact my password was changed etc on GW2 scared the kitten out of me though.
and that by some 1 from China.
shouldnt there be some sort of auto protection? log in from the netherlands and then change password in china 2 hours later would be sort of impossible

an influence message in my guild is set on 10/7/2087 which means it didnt happen yet, it also means the system sees it as most recent message.
so for about a month we had that message in the little box above the guild message of the day.
it’s only a small thing but it would be nice if it can just be taken out or something.

I am Wesley, my dad an I are both dedicated gamers.
we have played multiple games over the years on the same connection. (inculding GW1)
Recently my dad has been playing Battlefield and all those kind of things. BUT, since about 3 months orso when ever i start up the game my dad his connection goes to kitten mode. and that is only when i start my game up, my Connection is fine at the time.
and even in WvWvW my connection is fine and my dad’s connection suffers.
Both our PC’s are clean from virusses, we both use CCleaner to keep all the temporary unneeded stuff out. and our internet connection is 50mbit, which makes it even stranger.
we also have our own IP numbers, but on the same router. it’s not DNS, we have a set IP adress in both router and PC.
can any 1 help? or is any 1 having the same problem?

we had to ban him from our TS server aswell. he was shouting and making weird sounds.
basically every 1 is upset with this guy.

I am a player from the Far Shiverpeaks server and i play WvW quite a lot.
since this week we are playing against Abadons Mouth [DE] and Millers Sound [DE].
there has been 1 problem, there is a mentally ill person from one of those servers in ours.
he runs around naked building Trebuchettes all over our keep ruining our supply.
i’m guessing about 60 people have reported him but nothing has happined.
I wont call any names here since i think Anet does not like that.

PLEASE Anet, do something about this. he’s trolling about it too so it isnt like he’s going for an achievement. this is pure griefing.

yeah, the no heavy/medium/light armor is kind of anoying

seems reasonable indeed.

i dont know if you looked at the screen shot but i have basically been staring at my preview box for hours wishing i could get that quiver since it combines so nice with the armor/weapon i have ready for my Ranger. also i donate quite a lot, so cut me some slack of missing 1 event Anet ;P

I partially agree,
in some cases it would be nice (like me and my 8 charracter slots xD)
and less downscaled people in WvW (maybe)
downside. with this champion farm now, every 1 is buying gems like crazy when new items come out. thing is, with these exp scrolls. people will buy them A LOT so gem price will increase even more. and they already are at the point of me nearly taking my own life to buy a skin.

indeed, i have discussed this quite a lot with players I know from GW1.
it sucks a lot that you have to pay 800 gems for a skin (with these overpriced gem exchange prices) or donate 10 euro’s. and then only get to use it once…..
then if you later want to transmute it again, you pay again! for 5 crystal transmution stones. 5! you need 6 for full gear and another 1 for each weapon. so that’s basicly 800 gems again :/ just counting it up is way too much.
just…. just… give us our Costume vendor back! (please? Q_Q)

Hey!
I was just wondering if some Gem store items will make a return.
I unfortunately missed the Flame and Frost up date because i was too busy at the time.
I’m now lvling my norn ranger, already have the T3 gear ready etc, but i found that the Rox’s quiver set looks pretty darn epic with my charracter as gear combination.
So i was just wondering if items like that will ever make a return.
