This is getting ridiculous.. second time lagging out in the past hour. Can’t even play sigh

Currently I’m running an XFX Double Dissipation HD6950 but I’m thinking of jumping ship to nvidia. Last card I had from them was a Ti4200 lol so I’ve been out of the loop for nvidia cards. I have read good things about evga cards but I’m curious what the best bang for the buck is? I have been in the ATi camp for a while so I’m not up to date with what would be performing better than my current card. To many model versions to pick from.

Edit: I realised i left dagger on there in the build editor. Usually I use S/T, dagger is also an option to replace burn with perma poison and extra evades in melee.

I dusted off my ranger to level him up, he is 39 at the moment, and I’m looking at this build. I’m assuming you are running dire gear / rabid weapons / rabid amulets?

For my black water spec with rabid gear I went cheap and got the runes of speed because I was just wanting the buff. Then I bought zerker gear for a shatter spec and went all out dropping 60g on traveler runes. ( with food and exotic only gear I sit at 94% crit) I can’t live without the speed simply because most everyone else has speed and I couldn’t keep up otherwise. My 2c.

So … since I too like a particular scepter aesthetic for my necro, is there a primarily scepter-based build that’s viable for PvE and WvW? I know this topic is a bit old but I didn’t see a build posted that people had actually played.

Disregard it seems there is an issue with TS3 / Overwolf. Closing out Overwolf stopped the crash

I installed the update to my PC for Windows 8.1 last night. Today I tried to log in and the client crashed right away on simply pressing log in. I tried it with admin rights and I was able to log in but before hitting Play it crashed again. I set compatibility mode to Windows 7 and it crashed one last time. Finally I set the mode to Vista SP2 and I was able to hit log in -> play and the game loaded.

I never had the issue before Windows 8.1 and I’m just curious if anyone else with the operating system is experiencing this.

I finally got it after two days. I was not on the overflow but I was on my homeworld of JQ.

I’ve gotten the dire gear and need three more ascended accessories but haven’t started grinding CM yet. Any suggestions on some runes that I could use temporary until I get my nobles?

Undead runes are good. There are also a set, I believe they’re Fire (?) runes, but they give 20% might and might on heal. Then just get another two with 20% might. The reason why Noble is better is because you get a ton of condition damage alongside those

BTW if you don’t have Noble runes yet, here’s what you do:

2 Fire, 2 Hoelbrak, 2 Altruism. This combo does the exact same thing as the Noble Runes, but instead of condition damage it gives +Power, and +Healing. There’s not enough power & healing to compare to Noble runes, which are a definitely better if you’re running a condition build.

Thanks I’m going to try grabbing these when I can get on again. The might duration is insane in the video and I love it. I also have been aiming for a tankier build and went with the armor / weapon set up that Ostritch posted. I like the gear I have and I can still do some condi damage and escape zergs. It’s been a blast so far.

Only thing I really need to do is practice my 1v1 as I’m not too good at it! Guess it comes in time and practice and knowing your abilities inside and out.

Here is an update of my Sylvari wearing his magitech gear.

Errol’s armor from TP for dire stats and magi tech skin. About 18g for armor and 800 gems for magi tech.

I enjoyed watching Yishis on YouTube for tips and play style. I like his commentary while he plays, however, I recently switched from pistol / shield to pistol / pistol. I have just recently hit level 80 myself and have been gearing up but I enjoy the spec based off OstritchEggs. Dire armor / weapons with rabid trinkets. I haven’t deviated from the main spec of 30 / 10 / 0 / 20 / 10

Blue Sylvari with a white Mohawk here.. looks pretty cool in my Errol’s armor. Once I get around to it I’m purchasing the Magitech set on the TP and skinning over the Errol’s.

I find it amazing and genuinely fun.

The most recent video gave me the motivation to switch. Granted I don’t have the zerker gear he currently uses I’ve got more Knights with Zerker sprinkled in but I can see it as a mainstay for WvW. I’ll be trying to get zerker gear for it.

Thanks for sharing your build. I’m currently still gearing and using SilentStorm’s Paladin build. I will give this a whirl when I get my COF gear! I’ve been seeing more videos of people running mace / shield too but I like your usage of sword / focus.

Appears if it is still not solved. I tried a couple days ago with the correct ingredients to get my recipe for Berserker and it was grayed out. I was highly upset.
