The wife and I have been doing jumping puzzles most of the day as she’s trying to build up Empyrial fragments. While some jumping puzzles disable gliding, others do not, or there are spots in which it is enabled again and you aren’t expecting it. Honestly, the glide ability makes jumping puzzles very much not fun. When you need to make a long jump and you hold down the jump button you inadvertently trigger gliding which then sends you sailing pst what you meant to land on as you weren’t expecting it. Additionally there are sections where gliding works and can be used to shortcut the puzzle.
Would it be possible to look into developing a system whereby players can choose to disable and re/enable gliding?
I’d love to see the fiery phoenix wings again, I missed them when they were out last time and they’d be awesome on my fire ele.
good points and suggestions
Maybe it’s just me, but I think that when playing sylvarii characters in magumma jungle we should intermittently hear random calls from Mordremoth. Like maybe every 15, 30, minutes or an hour or something, we should hear a dragony voice say things like:
“Serve me”
“Kill them all”
“Join me”
“you are my servants”
“I am your destiny”
“do my bidding”
stuff like this. I just think it’d be a cool added touch…
but if you added them in the expansion then … more classes could use them, rather than 2 or 3 classes getting staff.
And ranger being nerfed to a #$%^ing cleric…
Also think about this though. In most games lol WOW you get an expansion that they spent a year or two developing and that’s it for a year or two until the next expansion drops.
GW2 has been doing living world updates like every month until they started major work on the expansion. Maybe they are going to release more content spread out over the months as part of the expansion? Perhaps the story line will be opening new zones and what not?
exactly spending 20+ min just sorting through gear and boxes of junk eat a good deal of time and by the time i was ready to play i was already kinda annoyed. I also have very limited amount of ply time with working full time and going to school so spending much of what I had on gear felt like a waste of my opportunity.
I disagree as well. On all my lvl 80’s with tier 6 or better gear I can pick a zone at will, walk in and stroll leisurely about, obliterating anything in my wake (including veterans and large groups) with little to no effort. It’s boring. I like the new difficulty. I like the fact that i need to dodge, and be aware of my situation and not just stand there burning down foe after foe with ease. At the same time I did not get a chance to play at night where my understanding is that the difficulty increased significantly. Perhaps you were playing at night and getting stomped. I could see where being downed in every fight could get old.
Rather than giving us all these boxes that instantly fill inventory with tons of junk you don’t want / can’t use, why not put in merchants at the starting point that sell bind on aquire “pick your stat” gear of choice for free or like a copper each?
For instance you can have a vendor for armor with tabs for heavy / medium / light , one for weapons, one for jewelry, and one for sigils / runes. Then we can jump in, grab the gear we want, and not have to dig through all the boxes and then delete all the other junk.
While Arenanet may run the game remember NCSoft codes it. If you think that crafting list is bad you should go back and look at lineage 2 crafting. We used to refer to it as crafting through the rabbit hole … If you tried to draw it out you ended up with a huge Christmas tree requiring you to make hundreds of refined mats and grind for weeks to make one piece of moderate level gear.
