They surely fix something, but they no mentioning anything so i wonder what’s happened. Even some of my friends noticed this fps performance increase from today.

This FPS increase by 40-50 is so amazing right now, i can play at almost full settings without any problem actually, well at least normal lag one

Oh i forgot that i have now a GPU’s usage decrease for about 15-20%. Should related to solving above.

Ok…I don’t know what exactly did.
1) re-seated my Graphic Card in different spot, at the end i put it on initial slot
2) Cleaned the dust over and inside graphic card & slot
3) re-seated & cleaned the RAM banks
4) Put-off the V-Sync
5) Changed some stuff, i don’t remember wich one on BIOS (was following a guide about PCI 16x issues)
6) Did a re-install of AMD ATI driver
7) Resetted BIOS battery for a min

And other stuffs. Several times.
After some boot/video output failure (i don’t know why), it almost solved or at least is irrilevant to me.

Got finally the 16x speed instead of 1x on PCI bus.
And magically got an increase of 40-50fps more.

In a empty area on WvW, at BEST PERFORMANCE got about 100-105fps.
More on medium settings.
The camera swapping issues almost solved, im not sure, but less relevant at my eyes actually.
Since now i don’t have any FPS issues anymore + got a +40/50fps flat increase.

Hope all solved and hope some of you will solve too, Thanks Rampage.7145 i don’t know if is exactly ur help, but ur following me on this issue reserve a Gold medal

ok i will explain a little better u see the picture u just post, it says Bus interface: PCI-E 2.0 x16@ x1 2.0. it means u have a PCI-e port 2.0 (this is just the tech generation) x16 (this is the bus speed x16 is the maximum posible speed of that PCI-e slot) @ x1 (that means currently, ur bus is working at x1 speed which is the slowest speed for the interface). If u could provide me with the model of ur motherboard and Power Supply it would be helpfull to diagnose where the issue could be.

Yea, i know you said you formatted, but who knows if you installed anything else like antivirus or what not that could be doing something. Going down to the lowest denominator helps narrow down troubleshooting. So many variables with software configurations.

Lookup your cpu/gpu’s clock speed info. Use HwINFO or MSI afterburner tool to monitor the clock speed.

Ok, im not experienced about those cpu speed/clock or gpu.
Just took some screenshot with HWinfo and MSI open.

• I was logged in WvW in a empty space close to the base.

There is something wrong in this values? Maybe 90-99% gpu usage almost always even doing nothing there?

Maybe is overusageing not overheating. Check better.
My usage go on 95-99% while i play the game after those 2 patches. Never before.
The temperature go from 40-50C°, so it’s normal.

Yes he’s. Anyway i won’t judge your job. I guess you merge the threads for some valid reason so nevermind.
Priority for me and other users here is to understand why we have those FPS issues.
And those threads were open to understand if it’s our-side related, our pc-build related.
Trying to list every fix, test, configure settings, adjustement we do bases on our PC build to find maybe a problems, but i guess the problem is outside our PC build or setup.

Hope we get soon a official-help or some official clue like “We have noticed that latest patch messed up something in our client engine/code, we’re working on it”
Otherwise we never can find the source of this FPS dropping even on high-gaming rig.

Unfortunately some post were simply deleted in the “Merge” things and i don’t remember the user.
Plus some post not inherent to my problem merged inside my discussion complicating and misunderstanding and giving wrong tips.
Anyway….lost my hope getting some help about my problem.

Downloaded GPU-z too.
I can confirm that when im logged in the gpu’s usage is 95-99% all the time.
There is somekind of wrong values inside above screenshot? Like clock or speed or something else over GPU’s usage or is all right except that?

They are not SSD, just normal HDD.

• maybe you’re right about AMD CPU but dnt forget i’ve never had those issues b4, in gw2 or bf3 or whatever
• same for OS and GW2 in the same disk
• same for ram

Why this happens NOW after 2weeks or over patching the game?
Guess is not related to me since im always playing normally.

Do this, buy a compressed air can, open ur case unplug everything from ur memory slots, and PCI ports, then use the compressed air on ur componets to clean out the dust, clean the internal connectors of ur PCI express slots, also clean ur video card gold connector, do the same with ur memory. Dust can be tricky i have 6 sytems at home and have to do that to 3 of them experiencing the same issue, all of them have a problem with the PCI e connector working at x2 or x4 instead x16 due the dust. 2 intel 1155 boards and an AMD Am3+ board paired with 2 AMD cards and 1 Nvidia card, i resolved the issue doing this on every case.

^This is pointless, was under the routine maintenance i do to my PC.
^^ This is a serious FPS issues related someway to drivers (im pretty sure not) or some adjustement made in latest patch, Not related to “dust” on my PCI or somekind of in-game settings.
As i said i did all of those trick, and the new format OS with 12.10 and 12.11 drivers made no change afterall.
Till i see some serious tip i will hope in some Staff-response, since im not the only one experiencing this issue.

those PvE framerates sounds pretty normal to me at the current situation
and if you are at LA, did you checked your FPS while on the overflow server?

anyways,
1: set rendersampling to “native”, reduce shadows & reflections
2: disable all windows visuals (optimal way: rightclick your GW2 shortcut, go to properties —> compatibility and check the two “disable visuals” options, that you’ll see – now, everytime you launch GW2, some designs and aero peek will be disabled until you close it)
3: check your network connection (a helpful tool to optimize your connectivity, called “TCP Optimizer” might help you to reduce the ping)
4: make sure that no power saving settings are enabled
5: perform a “clean boot” (google it) and then run GW2 and check it’s performance, to exclude the possibility of another application slowing the game down
if you notice a big boost of performance after doing “5”, track down which program possibly slows down GW2

Dude you simply don’t read my post and my test.
Did all you suggested and not.
Even disabled all aero peek visual on my pc aswell.
And not is not a ping issues so i dnt need any wtfast or tcp tools.
Did a clean-boot aswell, nothing slowing my gw2.exe

The last thing i miss to do is to post some MSI Afterburner test.
Nothing else is wrong with my pc/build/settings/power save management or kitten.

If you read my post, i’ve already tried a clean install of OS and gw2 and drivers.
Yes i re-seatted both Ram and Video Card.
Idk about the “right” clock speed on Cpu and Gpu, but i didnt change anything “there”

Cpu,Gpu usage are pretty normal all the time
Temperature of both too
Disk activity seems normal.

Fps depending from where I am for example :

When i enter in WvW is around 30-55 in empty spaces, like 18-22 when in fight.
In LA around 15-18 usually
In PvE around 50-55.

I’ve got those FPS before problems occuring but now is almost 10-15 fps all over the places and without any reason.
Tried all-above tips.
Is not a dropping fps is constant dps drop,stable now at 10-15 or less from last few days of patches.

Anyway my major problem now occur when I move the camera/looking :
IF i go forward nothing happens, BUT if i turn left & right or around with my mouse o directional key ….. The fps drop is massive or how can I explain?
When i turn my looking/camera the game start to go incredibly slow like as he’s not capable of this data transfer, and then while turning start again to go faster.

After those informations i can provide, is my Desktop-PC something wrong in his build?

Maybe i’m missing something…

Not mentioning the FPS issues getting from 1week or so, tried all like :

- Format whole pc
- Re-installing the whole client
- Re-installing ATI AMD new driver official & beta
- Delete local.dat file
- Defraggled my HDD, both
- Cleaned from every virus, cleaned all the regystry
- Temperature on my graphic card and CPU are normal, never go over 45C° or 48C°
- Given to Gw2.exe priority “high” on TaskManager
- Followed all the FPS & ATI guide on Tech support, settings all parameters ingame and not.
- Tried Full-screen / Windowed / Windowed Full Screen mode.
- Chosen “Best Appeareance” and “Best Performance” and even manually set em
- Toggle/Lowered “LOD” distance, Reflections, and all to the minimum.

But still have the same FPS issues.
But now from few days is unplayable too since when I move the mouse or the camera, the fps dropping to the hell, or game running very slowly like is a swapping thing.

Maybe i have some problems and im totally clueless about PC problematic, but don’t start tell me my CPU bottlenecking or something like that.
Maybe it’s true, but TILL NOW I never had those kind of issues, so not.

“WTFast” is not a solution.
As any trial or pay-method third-part software is not the real solution.
I won’t pay sht to play the game and even use a trial-weekly program to fix this.
Hope you understand me if I pretend Anet or Italy ISP both do their job to keep their customers happy with game and let them play.

But what Damaskinos said it’s sadly true.
I don’t know if the flood-accident is the principal problem involved in half-italy web infrastructures (used by Fastweb, Infostrada and others too) but :

- If there are others problem involved in this issue, we need to look more deeply inside this trying to fix or having an idea about it.
- If the flood-accident is the real problem, then we can’t do nothing at all, just wait till Italy infrastructures get fixed/repaired. Then we hope this will be fast since we’re not able to play at all.

Im assuming is a general problem, affecting ONLY SOME player, ONLY SOME maps, and NOT ONLY fastweb users, and NOT ONLY gw2 game.
So could be a north-italy ISP problems caused to the flood-accident occured 2days ago, and a problem with GW2 client interlacing with italy ISP too.
Not specifing, not official, just saying what could be the problem.

Officially there is no clue about this problem, and from what is cause, or what’s involved in or related to those things.

No communication from italy ISP, or A-net, and i will add :

The problem is that noone has an “OFFICIAL CLUE” about this.

I can’t really bring proof, but believe me, it was real. I even logged onto another character to test combo finishers with it to make sure it was real and not just a graphical glitch. I was able to combo finish non-stop and hist Shield of Absorption was ALWAYS on except for the split second it took for him to cast it again.

So what A-net saying about it.
By the way, many ppl outside Italy and without Fastweb getting same problem.

Confirming that im from italy too, forgot to mention on my last post.
Unplayable actually and even unloggable.

Fastweb too, got same issues, tried all solutions.
Ping on teamspeak is normal.
Ping/Latency on every other games is normal.
Web latency is normal.
Even in-game chat has no delay/issues.

But

Skills have from 5-30seec delay.
Stuck in every loading screen.
After a while connection is lost or got some problem.

I think is something wrong with my provider or at least there is a huge problem server-side, since chat and other stuffs have no issues but skills and loading screen yes.

Aegis vs Knockdown?
From when you can time aegis or predict when the opponent do it?
I think you know that aegis block 1 ing skill attack between one trillion skills made to you.
So sir, your sentence makes no sense.

And about holding power it’s not true, if a guy want to escape from you, it will do, even if u right-time ur skills, except it goes down in your “exaggerate burst”

Rare is the case u can burst some ppl down if they try to escape, once u finish ur gap closer, he teleports, ok u go closer to him again, but he will keep escaping simply cuz they can, simply cuz we have massive CD on CC skills.
What then if they apply snare to you while running away? You will answer “condition removal”…well they can re-apply chill/cripple faster that u can remove that.
I wish i have some chill/cripple ability too on proc or skills that can be spammable as like other profession do.
I think is reasonable asking to do something that all profession already do, why do we have to be “Different?”
That’s the same argument about ranged weapon, everyone got it, except guardian since they say “you’re a support/tank and you don’t need it” etc.
