im at 12.7k with full berserk, scholar runes, and 3 valkyrie accessories…. no acrobatic traits too… hope i helped!
I run glass cannon D/D and SB thief and i got to level 80 no problem except when i hit orr where the mobs just pwned me. After playing a lot of WvW and a few sPvP; think you should go a thief build focus around CONDITIONAL DMG because you can melt mobs down in PvE with deathly blossom (if you go D/D). But i find conditional dmg a bit useless in dungeons because there is usuall someone who is running some form of bleed already so for dungeons, i think you should go a hybrid build or Power/Precision/Crit damage (with some valkyrie armor for health)

Sounds like a very fun build and more stealthy than the glass cannon build i am currently running with D/D. I’ll try this build out in WvW but with full zerk and a few valk accessories :P
oh i thought it was just me…. i’ve been having the exact same thing and my internet is just fine…
I went full zerk and a mixture of valkyrie accessories. only 12.8k…. no traits into acrobatics. So i hope that info helped…. If you want damage/crit, i think berserker set is the way to go!
i’m a thief and a ranger that uses frost traps and long bow (volley) and short bow during combat seems to always get me.

ive been running RainyThief D/D build and it’s working great for me as long as i play smart. You can look up his build on youtube. Im running full zerk and a mixture of valkyrie for accessories. also using scholar runes for more dmg on burst.
Do people build PvP gear for WvW? cause im just running power,presicion, and crit dmg as a thief….. im pretty squishy so i was wondering does the pvp gear with toughness seem more logical cause i do lose dmg if i swap gear….
What happened to Yaks Bend? They were more competitive last week when it was EB, Magumma, and YB.

Hands down Condition thief for PvE. it works wonders when you reach later levels in Orr where there are a lot of mobs that pwn you day and night.
I found that a crit thief (myself) is very fun to play compared to spamming death blossom all day or using caltrops/elite skill (Conditional thief). This is assuming you go with D/D ofc. I mostly see common builds like below for these two builds. When playing burst, it’s very important you pick your target well and don’t just run into a 3+ enemy fight without people. However, Condition is very good for PvE esp for mobs in Orr. But i think crit/burst is the way to go when it comes to PvP.
Crit thief: Power, Precision, Crit dmg
Condition: Vitality, Toughness, Cond. Dmg
I’ve done some research and video watching. Look up Rainythief on youtube and it honestly, you should play what you like.
im mixing valk and serk and my stats are at
~2000 power ~3k attack
~1600 pres ~40 chance, 105 damage
~1000 tough ~200 armor
~idk vit, 20k hp though
i couple shot most people and don’t die, check it out

I can’t decide which runes i should get. It’s hard for me to make money so im trying to get the best out of what i can. I’m currently a D/D and SB Thief. I’m using full Berserker Emblazoned Set. and a few valkyrie/berserker acc for health I currently have one rune of divinity on but since i have returned from my break, each rune is 7g!!!. I was wondering if i should swap over to scholar runes because i found that i lack damage and power. So what is the pro and cons of getting divinity Vs Scholar cause the +10 stats to all didn’t seem to help that much.

so after going through 20-30min of waiting for npcs to walk and killing mobs that took awhile, i destroyed the third tower but the objective is bugged AGAIN. This is the second time in my story line as a thief/human that my quest is bugged. Anyone know whats the issues? ive looked around but there are no fixes or answers to why its bugging….
