I just did it yesterday on my slow Guardian and the “get in close” did work for me. I doesn’t last very long and as soon as the Terragriff starts moving again get the hell away and use ranged and kill the little griffs first. But it did work. And when the concentric circles show up, get way the hell away.
Greetings. I have a 35 Guardian that I want to level up in WvW rather than PvE. Any advice on which traits and wraps to go for early on to help leveling process?
I’ll be following the zerg of course. I’m assuming that I’ll want to try to max my survivability and being able to tag enemies and get the hell out of the way.
Oneira, does it work everytime? If ANet is not addressing this bug at the moment, maybe we can at least get a thread going to address this. For me it started when I updated to Mavericks.
I also noticed, when GW2 acts up its as if it opens a second instance of the game, and it has a slight blueish hue at the login screen. Once the game loads, it goes away.
yes it seems to work every time. Hopefully the new patch has solved the issue completely
Sent a petition on this to Support, got feedback from Support, emptied my Safari and Chrome caches, deleted the GW2 folder and . . . it didn’t work.
Sometimes the purchase screen doesn’t load, other times if it does I get as far as the Confirm Purchase on my Credit Card and get the same error message you all get.
So even with Support feedback, the problem is not solved.
I just wanted to chime in here from a complete, total noob perspective on things, i.e. leveling PvE. I’ve tried now every class except for Thief up to level 20 and most up to 30. After doing Guardian, Necro, Mesmer and Engineer I’m now leveling an Ele.
PvE is easy right? Well, with those 4 it sure is. But Ele is far more difficult to level in PvE and it’s not even close. Despite my great AOE attacks I’m constantly running for my life. My health pool drops from 90% to >25% in a heartbeat. All it takes is one Vet to hit me hard and I’m within seconds of going down.
I really don’t understand what these devs consider balancing because the Ele is way weaker than any other class I’ve seen so far. Now mind you, I don’t know the 80s scene, but from what you all tell me, it’s not good.
Yes I would definitely need to know whether you can move between regions. I don’t see why not. I have all my chars on a Eur server, but need to move to a NA server. If I delete all my toons, I should be able to choose any servers in NA or Europe, am I correct?
I looked at the wiki link and it didn’t say anything about deleting all chars, unless I missed something.
Wait a minute! So let me see if I understand this. If I delete all my chars I can pick a new homeworld in NA or Europe without having to pay a transfer??
Are you sure that deleting all your toons resets your homeworld too?
I’d really like to know this, because I really want to get on a different server where my friends are, and all my toons are < 40, so deleting them and starting over wouldn’t be a big deal!
With the amount of whining going on I am not hopeful, even though many Mesmer powers have been nerfed already.
One of the major problems that Anet is facing is the lack of viable builds for each class. When they keep nerfing stuff, the number of viable builds decreases until finally we’re all playing somewhere between 2-3 builds if that.
One of the draws of GW has been the ability to create builds.
I sincerely hope that they do not nerf confusion builds, but as I said, I am not optimistic.
It is my experience that nearly all solo events scale down when undertaken by only one player.
However the mob respawn rate seems to not scale down so some events are either very hard or impossible to solo simply because the spots respawn so darn fast.
This is my problem too that I’m having with this game. I like it but the respawn/getting ganged on by multiple mobs is really pushing my patience.
I generally finish an area long before i out-level it, so I’m faced with either doing 1-2 level higher DE’s or going somewhere else. Even 1 level higher is proving to be nothing but frustration when combined with respawn rates.
I find myself increasingly frustrated by certain dynamic events that just seem near impossible to do without a sizable group. Blasted Moors is my latest problem.
As a lev 19 Ele, taking on Ascalon ghosts at the same time I’m getting hit by ghost cannons and dodging trebuchet missiles is an exercise in futility.
IF there were a way to beat this I wouldn’t be so annoyed, but even taking the careful route and killing things slowly just. does. not. work.
Respawn rates, targetted by multiple mobs…../serious annoyance bordering on rage.
Are DEs like this meant to be this hard? Are they meant only for groups? Because I sure as hell can’t solo them.
What would you suggest switching out for Arcane Shield? Go AS + Mist Form or AS + Cleansing Fire? I was thinking of going Lightning Flash for #3 when I make lev 20.
I tried using the D/D setup leveling a newbie Ele. I really tried, but I’m losing constantly. Maybe I’m just not familiar enough with the setup, maybe it’s not meant for low level Eles.
Using Mist Form + Cleansing Fire. Usual rotation is Burning Speed-Ring of Fire-Fire Grab-Earthquake.
Especially with multi-mobs, I’m just losing health too fast. I can’t keep up with the damage. Down half my health before I know it. Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong?
