Because this would be, in my opinnion, worse than a mount that gives a speed boost.
Why?
Because it would break several jumpingpuzzles in half, sideways and upwards.

I could potentially see a minigame like this where you use environmental weapon carpetswith those functionalities, but allowing it in the open world would just be a mistake

I am actually not complaining about it being included there.
I think it was a nice addition to the game since i really liked nightfall and it even helps scarlets voltron armies to make more sense.

From a storyline perspective though. Imagine surviving a war and afterwards finding out that the armies attacking were based on the ideas of that one guy your great great grandfather/mother killed once

This is possibly the best part so far.
For multiple updates i have opted out of doing things since more important things happened in real life.
Getting the chance to experience those releases, even if it is only half of the content that carries over is going to be huge…

the dark one looks a bit monotonous, the gold and white breaks it up nicely and contrasts with the weapon making it more visible.

If you want you could add small dark elements to the trimms maybe?

Cheapest is definately doing fractals; it is not very reliable, mind you, but it will not really cost you anything. I decked out my fractal character using fractal dropps but got tired for my alts and went ahead and crafted the rest.

Just make sure you bring ascended trinkets to survive the spectral aggony.

If i am not mistaken the one on the charr is a mesmer starter skin.

Edit2: The second one seems to be the necro Daemon Masque on a norn woth the smallest possible body size and darkest possible skin

I was looking through the wardrobe in the feature video, Most seems great but i cannot seem to find my beloved shirt, leggings and boot townclothing anywhere.

I really like the starter shirt for my human character and would be very dissapointed if it was missing.

Does anyone know if it will turn into an outfit or how it will be handled?

Picked ascalonian in the missing sister storyline. The fact that my fictional sister looked nothing like me annoyed me enough to delete the character and start over

I run a similar build in wvw and it is great fun. Main difference is focus for added cc but i might try with a gun too

All the skins are for sale for ~57 gold
Chests are always a gamble. If you really only want the skin it is often better to just go to the marketplace :-)
Which one are you going for?

I would love to have a greatsaw.
I would even be willing to spend real life money on a greatsaw if it was in the gem store.
That being said, i would consider it to be a mistake on a-nets side if they released it again.

The Greatsaw is just a skin, it will not grant any extra bonuses to the people using it, it just looks kittening kitten awesome.
Having one is incredibly rare and shows either that you where here when it happened and got incredebly lucky or that you ammassed certifiedly insane ammounts of gold.

This was a thing in GW1 as well. There was no way of getting the wintergreen weapons after 2006. their stats were worthless but they were fun showing of with.

I have heard the argument that the rare skins should be something you work for so that everyone can show of being here last halloween but isnt that was what the mad memoires (a lot more useful because lightsource) were for?

Thus, i appreciate the fact that the greatsaw is limited even if i never get to enjoy it myself. I guess i’ll just be satisfied with the new bat sword :-)
