Haven’t run Guild Wars 2 since I swapped out my motherboard and cpu and performed a clean install of 7.
Second time I’ve had someone attempt a login from china while I was using a password unique to guild wars 2.
I set up a third unique password for the account, but I fully expect a third attempt within the next three weeks, either you guys have hilarious poor protection against brute force attempts with an astounding amount of resources dedicated to obtaining accounts, or there is a hole they are exploiting.
Either way fix your kitten.
Because kits count as bundles.
Melee rangers were common in GW1 because of the expertise stat, which resulted in Bunny Thumpers and Touch Rangers
I miss difficulty coming from game design rather than coping with bugs.
I’d highly recommend you keep it on, I use a unique password for guild wars 2, and no keyloggers are present, and here is the email I got five minutes ago:
“A log-in attempt from the following location is currently awaiting your authorization.
Address: 171.112.163.51
City: Wuhan
Region: 12
Country: CN
This location is approximated based on information provided by your Internet Service Provider. If in doubt, deny the request and try again.
If you are certain this log-in attempt was not made by you, then someone else knows your log-in credentials and you should change your password immediately via Account Management."
Its not the existence of bots that aggravate me, it is the apparent lack of action on anets part that bothers me.
How hard is it to detect ten rangers with names like (ILoveYou1…ILoveYou10), that have been at the same event for over 24 hours attacking, with each account sitting at 50+ reports of botting?
Botting is mechanically easy in this game, Anet should at least try and curb the problem through application of their ToS.
They should make kits “atunements” with the base cd equal to that of the current kit swap delay.
…you want to trade 38 of our skills in order to copy the class mechanic of another class, only less so and with a faster swap?
Um, no thanks.
Never said that.
The issue is that “bundles” have auto attack disabled and don’t scale based on weapon stats.
“Attunements” swap the skill bar while scaling off of the equipped weapon and have variable swap cooldown.
If the developers switched the kits from “bundles” to “attunements” and set the engineer attunement cooldown to equal the bundle cooldown the kit stats will be directly correlated to the weapon stats.
It is a type change that is being suggested, not a mechanics change.
Depending on how they set up the type code and how they did the traits it would have the potential to be the quickest fix…. you bookah
They should make kits “atunements” with the base cd equal to that of the current kit swap delay.
I can’t imagine why people are crying so much.
Some bugs? Yes.
Game breaking? No.
Mine fix? Not a big deal. Everyone knew it was coming anyway.Truth is, engineer has a number of viable builds. Probably more than many other classes do. If you want to faceroll, roll a different class. Engineer has a a pretty steep learning curve.
So since the engineer now lacks the extreme amount of blast finishers they were able to put out, what sort of role would you put them in a dungeon environment?
The one mechanic that engineers excelled at, and they nerf it.
Still no status on the auto attack issue that engineers have with kits, or the stat transfer issue though.
A simple fix for 1c micro-cutting that would greatly improve the high-end market! Discussions within!

I like how everyone sells crafted good for below costs so that they lose money on each item crafted.
It makes items cheaper for me as I continue to ignore the crafting money sink.
Personally I’d be happy if they fixed the bugs that have been around since bwe 1.
The mine kit is our main blast finisher.
The mine field skill is a 5x Blast finisher.
The mine field combined with smoke bomb gives 15s of AoE stealth.
The mine field skill combined with firebomb will give 9 stacks of AoE might.
The mine field skill combined with super elixer gives 15 seconds of aoe retaliation
Do not merge the mine kit with other kits, it is more useful when separate.
My only complaint about the toolbelt is that it is clunky to rebind the f1-f4 keys, without dedicating a second hand to the keyboard ffxi style.
The bomb kit allows engies to kite better than any other class, and gives the engineer access to two combo fields that work great in conjunction with the mine kit.
Engineers can fight with in town clothes provided they equip a kit then switch to town clothes.
I think the whole weapon/kit swapping mindset is a difficult concept for many people (me absolutely included) to get used to, and I think it all stems from not having proper hotkeys setup.
I found that kit swapping is much easier when you have q bound to heal, ert to utilities, and z bound to elite with shift as the dodge key.
I tried using Sapper for a Sylvari Engineer, and it was taken.
My opinion: Underpowered Engineer - It is realy bad at pvp and pve

People calling engi and elems underpowered. What in the world is going on in this thread?
A 5sig looked at them in wvw, that and broken autocast.
Using AutoHotkey considered a hack? Will it get me banned?

So until they patch it enjoy pressing 1 repeatedly to use the engie bombkit.
I prefer the necro staff sound over using the engie bomb kit with my mechanical keyboard.
sPVP is fine, in WvW people tend to target the closest enemy to their blob
