Destruction of Lions Arch model[CINEMATIC]
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Pandemonium.8473
It would be nice if we could get a Destruction of Lions Arch model as a reward for completing the achievements.
Just like the Zephyr Sanctum Model, because I love collecting cinematics in-game and re-watch them time to time! :]
The skill is really viable in dungeons, it gives you a 3sec immunity against dmg and you get healed if hit. Some bossfights need you to mitigate alot of burst-dmg, so Defiant Stance+Shield Stance+Endure Paint+Whirlwind Attack and a few dodges and you are immortal :p heck if you are low on HP during some fight, just use the skill and jump into an aoe and you get full health
The CD could be lowered to 30sec tho :p
Heya, I feel that my gold infusion is not that viable anymore, so I want to replace it.
MF infusion is out of the question, because I already have a decent MF%.
So my mind is twisted between Karma or XP. What will be more viable in the future?
Karma:
-Harder to get than XP.
-The 15% boost is really good tho.
-Lack of viable things to spend Karma on.
-Note: atm i have around 2million karma.
XP:
-Easier to get than Karma.
-The 20% XPboost only covers “killing stuff” and the “main source” of XP is from doing events and dungeons?
-XP=Skill Points=Mystic Forge= future legendary armor?
So it feels like i can do more with XP than Karma, but i gain more value from the Karma infusion rather than the XP infusion —-> 15%karma is valued more than 20%XP from monsters.
So what are your thoughts on this? From a futuristic point of view.
I hope they remake Arcing Slice to something like this:
“Strike your foes infront of you with a powerful uppercut, knocking them back x yards per adrenaline bar spent”
..to balance it, the animation could be really slow or something :p
Hi, I want to craft the corrupted skeggox, the recipe requires Shaman’s Etched Skeggox.
The thing is there are 4 different axes on tp named Shaman’s Etched Skeggox, the difference is that they are lvl 62, 70, 78, 80.
My question is, can i use the lvl 62 Shaman’s Etched Skeggox for the recipe?
First of all English is not my native language, so bare with me!
I have always been a fan off challenges, if I fail, ill always try till I succed!
So the thing is, Im craving for a challenge in the PvE world, because I love PvE.
And now im not talking about dungeons at all, but more about a Map/zone that will challenge my skills. + there have to be some lore/a story behind it.
So here is my idea:
Backstory
Asuran scientists were researching and experimenting with their fast-travel gates to make them cover a longer range, they accidently opened a stable wormhole to another dimension/world.
They are now recruiting worthy explorers and heroes to help them gather information about this new unexplored world. Is it friendly or is it hostile?
This zone should be accessible through an extremly big/modified asura gate in Lions Arch, but to gain access to the gate you have to prove your worthiness to the Gatekeeper guarding the gate.
-He will tell you to find and present 5 great items before him. These items can be found across whole of Tyria with changing locations every day.
-One of these items will be a map you have to put togheter from map fragements spread across Tyria.
-Some of these items may be some poor champions dearest possession, so in order to retrieve it you have to either defeat the champion or do something for him to earn the item.
Once you have all items you have to present them before the Gatekeeper, he will then grant you permission to use the Super asura gate. But just before you enter, make sure you put on the awesome looking gate traveling goggles lying on the fuel boxes next to the gate.
On the other side you will find yourself inside a secret cave base, you will get voice-over instructions from the heavy armored Sergeant greeting you. Well now your primary mission is to find the missing exploring party, they were supposed to find more clues to help them translate the mystic tablets they found just a few days after stepping through the gate.. The only thing that could be gathered from these tablets so far, was an inscribed drawing of a great city.
-So what happen to the exploring party, did they get killed by unkown creatures populating the world? Were they captured? Did they find the city?
World/environment theme:
-Twisted green growth, crystals and cosmic energy flow. Huge levitating rocks,
Ruins/leftovers from the race/races populating the world.(like a huge battle had taken place here)
-Low atmosphere/you can easily see into space, and see eg. a meteorbelt surrounding the world.
-This world should have two suns, one regular sun and one purple sun that replaces the night cycle, instead there is a purple:ish darkness/shine reflected from the environment.
-This zone should have a cave/catacomb system beneeth it. And a cloud/sky level. There should be many levels/floors.
-There should be hidden passages for those who love exploring.
-The scale of the world should be really huge so you feel ridiculously small. This makes you feel that you are a part of something greater.
The Challenge:
-Complete your mission/missions
-There is only one waypoint and it is in the cave camp, if you die, you either waypoint or wait for a player to find you. So be careful out there!
-The mobs should be smart and hard to kill[skillful rather than high HP-pool], and no mob should be below the rank of a veteran. Veterans usally move in packs in this world.
-All mobs scale up to the appropriate scale of players around it, so you cant just rush the zone with a big zerg of players.
- There should be hidden bosses scattered around the world that the player can find by completing unoffical tasks like placing a rock on a platform or, by jumping up to a hard to get place to find a lever, or find and collect runestones that combines a key to unlock a portal/gate of somekind. And so on.
These hidden bosses are not for the faint hearted tho, they are extremly hard to kill and should require atleast 5+ people,
-There should be big bosses[easy to find] walking around in the world that would require atleast 15+ ppl to defeat.
-Every boss will drop loot that is uniqe to the boss you killed. Weapons, Armor, crafting materials, mission clues/items etc.
What do you think guys, is this a bad or good idea? Feedback is appreciated!
Would you add/change something?

Would be awesome if there was options to alter the color scheme/effects abit on your legendary. The legendary is after all the hardest/most time consuming item to aquire in the game, so would be awesome to have some options for the hard work :p
eg. you could choose to either have the regular theme on frostfang, or a more red/blood dripping theme
eg. Sunrise, you could choose to have it as it is, or have a more thunderstorm theme inside the blade
eg. Twilight: Regular theme or eternal fires that burn inside the blade
It would be cool if there were stables in the major cities and you have to walk to the stables and talk to a stablemaster to open a mount tab, then you would be able to mount a mount you have collected.
Mounts should only be usable in major cities for show off, and should walk as fast as the character normaly would.
To aquire mounts I would like to see some sort of hidden events you find all over the world, lets say you help the charr save some dragon babies from a flooded cave, as a reward you get a dragon egg in your inventory. After a week this dragon egg hatches into a dragon mount, that you store in your stables
Other ways to aquire would be if you found a wild champion animal on a lets say mountain peak, now you have to defeat the champion before you can tame it, and collect it
Buy the rare heavy boots for 30carvings(scroll down to the bottom to find em), salvage them with black lion kit if you have one, if you dont have BL kit, use masters salvage kit.
You get around 8 globs for 2 runs of cof, thats 2g worth on tp
Now you wonder “why heavy boots?”, well the thing is if you are unlucky and dont get globs when you salvage your boots, you get atleast some mithril ore. And mithril is more worth than the silk and leather you get if you salvage medium and light armor :P
I approve this post!
gaming mouse tbh, splits the job more even, what would you rather like the most?
clicking and trying to reach 20 buttons with one hand(gaming keyboard)
or
clicking and trying to reach 10 buttons with each hand(keyboard+gaming mouse)?
I love exploring the world of Tyria and just take a moment to watch the beautiful art.
But one thing I love even more, is to find these “odd locations” around the world and watch the world from different angles.
To find most of these locations you’ll need the following:
-swiftness
- a leap
-and patience
Please share your odd city locations :)
When i saw the papa kitty watching over his kitten, I knew I had to get up to him
How to do it:
-face the tree from the waterfall, jump to a tiny edge on the right wall
-leap to the tree crown
-leap to papa kitty
- /pet him
I used Earthshaker on my warrior because the landing is more precise
I couldn’t agree more, for the first time i felt challenged in guild wars 2, and the reward at the end was awesome for the difficulty of the puzzle.
