I took a look at that, but my settings were already set to what the stickied post recommended. I wasn’t sure if the “Black screen issue” was the same issue I’m experiencing. I was pretty psyched that Asus was sending me a laptop that was a full model year newer, but now I wish I had my old laptop back. I’m going to try playing another game to see if it’s a GW2 issue or a graphics card issue. I tried going back to a 314 driver, but instead of just GW2 crashing, my whole computer crashed.

So Asus had to send me a replacement laptop because they couldn’t fix my old one. My old laptop had an Nvidia GT 555m, and I never had this issue. The new one they sent has an Nvidia GT 650m. Every once in awhile, the screen will freeze momentarily, go black, and it will do either one of two things: 1) The picture will be restored and I can continue playing or 2) I get an error message from the Gw2 application saying that there was a graphics driver issue and I have to restart the game.

I’ve tried several different drivers. I updated to 331.82 – WHQL, and the issue continued. Then I tried updating to 331.93 – BETA, but the issue still continued. Then I downgraded to 327.23 – WHQL, but I’m still having the same issue. I’ve only had the laptop for a couple days, so I haven’t tried to see if there are issues with any other games. Any ideas?

That’s like saying I’m being punished because other people can play more than me during the day.

Dailies can take 15 minutes to do, and, for me, they give direction. If you don’t want the reward or you don’t want to do the tasks, then don’t do them. You don’t really have any right to complain.

The influences do not stack. Our guild has changed servers twice, and each time we had to build up influence and buy upgrades. By combining guilds, I’m assuming you two are in the same guild but on different worlds. In that case, you should probably switch to the world with either the most upgrades/influence or the world that can hold its own in WvW.

Any other way? We don’t have to do that with the other dungeons.

So I had to switch worlds to get WvW maps fully explored, and my friends from my original server wanted to do a fractal. We all got into a party, but I couldn’t join them in the fractals. We could do Caudecus manor together, but we couldn’t figure out how to get the fractals together. Any ideas? The wiki says we can do fractals with parties across worlds.

I should clarify, past personal storyline references in the hero tab say I’m in the Durmand Priory, but the current personal storyline says I should go to the chantry of secrets in the hero tab as well. Anybody willing to offer advice?

I have two characters: a norn guardian and a human elementalist. I like both characters, so I’ve been switching between the two periodically. After being formally inducted into the Durmand Priory (i got the account badge), I switched to my elementalist until he was formally inducted into the Order of Whispers.

That’s when things got a little weird. I went back to my non guardian and went through the Ogre storyline. In the first quest, I had both Magister Sieran and Lightbinger Tybalt in my instance. This happened for the rest of the Ogre storyline as well. I thought maybe it had something to do with the fact that my account has both the order of whispers and the durmand priory badges. Everything seemed alright until I finished with the ogres. Instead of telling me to go back to the Durmand Priory for my next assignment, it’s telling me to go to the Chantry of Secrets. I checked my Personal Story line page in the Hero tab, and it still says I’m in the Durmand Priory. I haven’t gone to the Chantry of Secrets yet because I don’t want to mess with my personal storyline.

I went back to my human elementalist, and I only had Tybalt in my storyline instances. After finishing with the Hyelek, it (correctly) states I should go to the Chantry of Secrets.

Anybody else have this problem? I don’t want to keep going on my Norn and mess up my storyline, but I don’t know what to do other than report the bug.

I have two characters, a Norn Guardian and a Human Elementalist. I played through the Norn Guardian until he was officially initiated into the Durmand Priory. Then I played my Elementalist until he was officially initiated into the Order of Whispers. When I went back to my Norn Guardian to help the Ogres, I noticed that I had both Magister Sieran and Lightbringer Tybalt in my personal storyline quests. After I defeated the branded Ogre chieftain, my next quest marker says I should go to the Chantry of Secrets, but that character is in the Durmand Priory. I’m not sure what’s going on.

Anybody else have this problem?

I haven’t been able to make any progress in 2 days. =/

I’m not entirely sure if this is a bug, but I’m a Norn Guardian who decided to go with the Priory. The first quest is called “Dredging up the Past.” A bunch of little kids from different races reenact Destiny Edge’s final battle (amusingly), but nothing happens after that. I tried looking at the wiki, and it says the quest marker should let me know that I should “Talk to a friend.” I see Eir on the map, but when I talk to her she gives a little quote, and that’s it. My current quest marker says I should “Visit Lion’s Arch,” which is weird because I’m already there. The quest marker doesn’t show up anywhere on the map in the actual instance. I tried running around and talking do different people, but nothing is happening.
