Hey DoM, I’m from New-Brunswick also and I’m experiencing the same problem, random lag spikes every 30-60 sec. I’m getting rubberbanding issues with movement skill also. I’m not getting kicked out of the game just some random 1-2s delay on skill when the ping spike. It’s been happening for 3-4 days now.

Everyone is saying it’s ISP based, but every ping test, internet speed test etc I’ve done is telling my my connection is fine. The only test I’m getting packet loss is between me and anet, every other test I did i’m getting no packet loss.

The test I did were various ping test on the internet, the cmd ping test, tracert and the gw2 diagnostic test.

Also judging from the test you did I’m pretty sure you are using rogers isp and using a hitron CGN3A model modem/router combo. Some people got some issues with those modem, but they were connection issues with everything internet related, not specific to 1 game.

On a side note I’m getting no lag from other online games I’m playing, everything is running normally. So I think the problem is coming from anet side and the best we can do is wait for a fix.

I own a g600, pretty good mouse it’s comfortable. Did some research while I was shopping for mine and what I came up with was a ton of complaints about the naga (double click problem, break after a few months, broken on arrival,etc). The g600 is a more solid mouse, logitech product last years (I still have my mx518 from like 8years ago). Some people say the naga is better for small hands, whereas the g600 is more fit for bigger hands. The naga has mechanical buttons on the side, wich is a plus for razer, but the g600 button are shapped like a cup, so it’s easier to know wich button your thumb is on. Another + is the g shift click on the g600. It’s basically a Shift key on your mouse that lets you bind twice the amount of skills on your mouse, but you wont need that for gw2.

As far as binding goes, my 1-5 skills are q,1,2,3,e my attunements (for ele/engi) are z,x,c,v and I have all my utilities on my mouse, the g9 is my heal, g10 utility 1, g11 elite, g12, utility 2, g13 utility 3, g14 weapon swap. I find the other 6 keys are weird to reach, so I don’t use them. I also bind my push to talk button on the gshift click.

Note that I have small hands and I palm grip my mouse and I have trouble reaching the g15-g20 keys especially the last row, so if you have big hands, expect only able to reach the first 2 rows of key. Unless you claw grip your mouse.

It takes a few days to get used to, my advice would be to remove any other keybinding you have on the skills you plan to use your mouse for. A friend of mine got the naga and he keybinded his mouse side button on top of his current keybind. Needless to say he never used his mouse side button side he’s still using his old keybind

It’s not that hard, but people here a missing a few good points imo.

1. 10g/h is from farming chest, not doing event.
2. People don’t factor in the time it takes to get the key/bandit crest
3. As defiling treekiller said, the chest per hour is around 75-85, follow the tag and grab the chest, once the train slows down, change map.

Now the most important point of all, and no one mentionned it: OPEN THE BAGS ON A LVL 53!!! That’s where the money come from.

If you open the bags on a lvl 53, you get linen, platinum and hard wood logs, wich sell for way more than mithril, silk and elder wood log. So basically, you farm the bags on your lvl 80, send the bags to your lvl 53, open all the bags, salvage everything that is not rare/exotic (you sell those) and sell all the mats you get. Now before people start ranting about not getting exotic stuff and t6 if you open on a 53, yes you still get those even if you open on a lvl 53. The level of the item(gear) you receive when you open the chest is based on your character level EXEPT exotic gear, the level of the mats you get from opening a chest is based on the rarity of the chest(in that case it’s an exotic chest).

I farmed sw for a while (had 3k bags at on point) from what I gathered, I earned 10g per 100 bags while doing the method I mentioned BUT I was keeping the t6 (making a legendary atm). If you sell the T6 the income could be higher.

It’s also the best way to get obsidian shard if you even need those for something

I didn’t bother reading all the post, but I farmed the TP to reach 300%mf. I went from 130% to 300% in around a month. I noticed an increase in rare from monster, but exotic not so much. The rest is not affected by mf so don’t bother.

The good part about the whole process is that I made 1000g while farming for the mf, beware though it’s a time consuming process, and you’ll hate yourself (and so will your mouse)

If you are interested I can tell you the way I did it, but I won’t bother if you are not, since it is kinda long to explain.

Ok, I thought maybe there was an option to press and hold shift to keep the salvage kit selected… kind of a bummer when you want to salvage 200+ items and you have to reselect the salvage kit. Thanks for the info!!

I’m wondering if there is a way to keep a salvage kit selected? What I mean is I can double click a salvage kit to start salvaging stuff, but if I click somewhere where there is no item, it de-select the salvage kit, so I have to double click the salvage kit again etc. Is there a way to prevent that from happenning?

What I’d like to do is double click a salvage kit, then just spam left click while I move the mouse over my inventory.

Yeh I just did some more testing with both weapon set, I never managed to get 3 tick out of spectral wall with both set, but I was getting 2 tick everytime no matter wich weapon set. Even tho spectral wall says 3s duration, I only managed 2 ticks. It felt as if the fear with givers weapon was longer, but it was still only ticking twice, instead of once each second. So imo, i’m better off with rabid weapon and deal a bit more condi damage, compared to “a chance” at 3 tick from spectral wall.

Just tested it with 2 low level giver weapon(still gives 10% duration), and spectral wall tooltip says 3sec duration with giver scepter and giver dagger, but only 2 3/4 with my rabid scepter and dagger. Note that i’m using the toxic food and normal food while using both, and using the same spec for both. So my guess is that the 4 point in soul reaping doesn’t count in the 100% condition duration cap.

I’m wondering if it’s worth it to cap fear duration to achieve 3sec duration on our fear (staff #5, spectral wall, death shroud #3). I’m running a 6/4/0/0/4 terror/master of terror build, with perplexity rune and I would like to swap my rabid weapons to giver weapons to achieve 100% duration on fear (40% from food, 10% from toxic crystal, 30% from 6 in spite and 20% from 2x giver weapon).

What i’m wondering is: is it worth loosing some condition damage (around 200) for an extra tick of fear? How much damage is 200 condition damage?
