I can’t agree by the slightest. WwW is so huge, complex, teamwork if wanted/needed, basicly loads of possibilities for players.

Basicly, it could easely have been its own game by itself.
You cant complain and say Battlefield is a waste of time/timesink, same with Call of Duty, “FiFA”, Age of Empires etc etc etc etc ………

You dont buy Battlefield because there is a great looking weapon in the game somewhere you would like to take a screenshot of, you buy it because you like the thrill of the fight and action.

You dont play WwW to get better armor or more cash, you play it because you like the thrill of competing with other players or be godlike PWN!

Now have me exscused, me got some noobs to pester and destroy!"

You never know what you had till you lose it

Invited.

Anyone else also interested, just leave your comment here and i’ll invite.

Would like to point out again, no commitments, you can be in several guilds at the time, but you can only represent one at a time.

I dont expect any player to stay in the guild, not my intention either.

Basicly, to give players a common chat for ask questions and share knowledge.

New Player Guild. I Donut Belong Here [UDO]

As I recently have found myself in longer conversations with players asking some sort of ingame question I responded to, I decided to make a guild where one can join to hopefully get som ingame pointers and direction on their path towards fame and glory. Basicly a noob friendly environment! I do not see myself as a “Oracle” when it comes to GW2, but I have some experience in most of what GW2 currenly offers.

The guild “I Donut Belong Here [UDO]” is an all-welcome guild, aimed to aid new players in their seeking of ingame related answers. The guild is located on the the server Desolation. There is no requirement you are playing on the actual server, as organized guild events and such is not the purpose of the guild. Any EU player is welcome to join.

New players, seasoned or veterans alike are welcome to join and hopefully get some ingame help/pointers/new friends.

No strings attached, no obligations, no application, no guild webpage., no fun….. erm ignore last part.

If you, on the other hand have some knowledge and experience playing and think you could help a newborn fighter out? Please let me know if interrested and I will add you as “contributer” to the New Player Aid guild. As I am sure I could use some help, to prevent me from standing in LA typing in guild chat all day

If this is for you, PM me ingame and I will toss you an invite. Newbie or contributer alike.
If I am not online, send me an ingame mail and I will respond once I get back.(usually not long ^^)

Noobs have feelings too!

Im furthermore trying to optimize my computer for Guild Wars 2. Testing my software and different system settings. I am aware that my bottleneck is my cpu which can’t be overclocked due to locked bios.

Question:
Are there any that are good with computers and could be so kind and look at my included NCsoft Game Advisor result? and point me in a direction to where I might be able to insrease some game performance? It being windows8 settings, game settings or any other hardware configuration.

Any help would be much appretiated.

ps: I have also followed a tip from https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/7-years-old-PC-without-LAG-in-WWW-1080p
by installing separate sound card and disabled the inegrated sound card to release some pressure on the cpu. Result was not as good as the OP of the thread.

Dont quote me and im not able to check atm but if i remember corectly, I had the same issue before i changed a setting in Nvidia Control Panel.

If you have Nvidia, try this. Right-click on your desktop and select “Nvidia Control Panel.”
3D settings – under tab global, Anti Aliasing FXAA turn ON. Press use and ok then start the game. Also try enabling FXAA ingame settings if not.

Nvidia users.

I Want to share this hoping it will help a poor soul or two.
Like many others I have received decreased fps ingame the last month+, spent hours and hours trying to solve it or find some solution.
Just now I finally came over something that surprisingly gave me a 20-30fps boost.
As easy as installing an old Nvidia driver that came with gw2 support. 310.90
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-310.90-whql-driver.html

Also it might be a good idea to turn down or off, ingame setting reflections and shadows. When it comes to ingame settings, I for sure have found out trusting the auto-detect preset is not by far trustworthy if you want to get better perforamance. Try and test with them, both up and down. Taking “high” somewhere comapared to “none” might not inflict on performance.

By far not the superior solution to frustrated gamers around the globe, but I do hope it will come in handy to atleast a few.

Let me know if it did help you, and dont hesitate to ask if anything is not mentioned or unclear towards the solution.

My spec:
System producer Packard Bell
System modell ixtreme M5801
Harddrive SSD ntfs
System type x64-based PC
SMBIOS-version 2.6
(RAM) 8,00 GB
Processor Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz,
Graphic Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti
Power supply XFX pro550w.

LF Guild pve/spvp/www FP or any European

Hi.

Returned after a few months break. Currently located on FA Europe and looking for a guild. I Enjoy every aspect of the game and have quite some time on my hand atm, dedicated to the game. Over time I will be looking into Tourmament play, current pvp level is only22. Would like a guild dedicated to pvp and/or pve. If the guild is dedicated in www I will do my dungeons and fractal climbing “solo” as I am doing atm and the other way around. If the guild is heavely covering both aspects og the game, thats a bonus!
Spending quite some time updating myself on the game changes since I went idle, on google, forums etc (probably read more then i play). It would be nice to have an active guild to get some teamplay going on aswell as to speed up my “knowledge”. Have been using www.gw2lfg.com alot and love it, but as many know…. you never know what you are gonna get ^^.
If your guild is active aswell after 2400"paris time", thats great.
If my perfect home is located elsewhere in Europe, im willing to spend the 1400 gems for server transfer.

Me: Dedicated and long time mmo player from various gamed such as; wow, swtor, aion, tera and aoc. 36 years old from Norway.
(level of dedication varies from game to game and the current rl commitments, as with many others i guess)

Sincerely, Turia’s most friendly Mesmer ^^

Would like to add, I returned to the game 4 days ago after about 6 months break, so im abit rusty and have alot to learn.

I have no problems running the game on “auto detect”, even in WvsW.
However I would like to start playing on max settings for best performance.
Im not sp good with techs and specs so could use some advice.
A year ago since i bought my current computer with the following specs:

Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Central Processor Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz
Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GT 440
Video Memory 1,50 GB
Screen Resolution 1920 × 1080
Total Memory 7,99 GB
Free Memory 5,00 GB
Total Hard disk 1379,67 GB
Free Hard disk 1234,37 GB

I do consider buying a new computer, but ofcourse just getting one or two new components is preferable if possible. Can Anyone tell me without too much work, if my computer with i.e. a new video card (or any replacable component) have a chance to run run the game on full settings, or atleast close.

Thanks to any who takes time to answer and guide me in the right direction ^^
