Yeah, so this is a half-fix. It helps with the influence-earning, but doesn’t help us keep guild members who will leave over lack of loot.
This is one of the problems that we’re specifically trying to address here. Even if your entire guild is representing another guild, you can have these training missions researching in your inactive guild and then swap back over to complete them for massive influence gains.
Anthony, thank you so much for this change.
As a leader of a Dutch Guild with about 10-15 daily active players (Total is 150, but a lot of them don’t play often), Influence was a big thing for us to overcome. With about 500-1000 influence a day, it would take weeks and months before we could unlock those other missions. Doing the Tier 1/2 bounties was no problem in the last couple of weeks, because there were always about 15-20 people online that hour to help, but the influence gain was a problem. So, on behalf of our whole Guild, thank you very much for these changes. We will combine a Tier 2 weekly mission with a couple of Training Sessions on those evenings. ^^
We’re also a small-med sized Guild and have done our two first bounties (Tier 1 and 2). We splitted up in 3 parties and were with 15 people.
We’ve had that Karka Guy, we’ve had that Scallywag with his 300 possible spawn points, but somehow we succeeded at finding them all by ourselves and completing Tier 1/2 without retrying. Everybody was happy and while we we’re pretty anxious about how the Bounties were going to be, we’ll be doing it with a lot of confidence next week.
Yesterday a lot EU players couldn’t join the game (error code 42…) and ANET was looking into the issue. After the issue had been solved, I haven’t crashed or disconnected a single time.
The weeks before I crashes multiple times each hour and also disconnected frequently. Now I’ve played for hours without a single crash or d/c. I’m curious if someone else is experiencing this, which would be great news?
EU player here, same error code (42;4;7;250) and unable to login.
Need to ask you guys something:
Who has an AMD card?
Quite long time ago I had a similar problem with another MMO – random crashes. I tried to do EVERYTHING with my PC.
I know it sounds strange but those crashes stopped after I installed older drivers for my sound card.
Strange. I’ve just checked my update history and only see windows updates or Microsoft Security Essentials Database updates. Will try to reinstall audio drivers anyway
After disabling my AV, trying out different DNS configs, reinstalling the game twice on other harddisks, clearing out a lot of startup programs, reinstalling different AMD drivers (with complete cleanup), testing different clockspeeds on gpu (also stock), checking my RAM, playing all other online games without a problem, I think it’s safe to say there must be something wrong with the game. I can’t play the game for 30 minutes anymore without D/C’ing (error code 7:11:3:189:101) or crashing (the c0000005 memory error, Engine\Gr\GrLuid.cpp(433) error, \Game\Main\MainCli.cpp(589) error).
No virus, no hardware issues, no overclocks or anything of that stuff. (Before people are saying this again)
It’s just hard to believe that hundreds of people have suddenly defect hardware, problems with AV or unstable systems.
It has to be a fault on Anet’s side. I’d be happy if they prove me wrong and give us some possible solutions.
Crashed 9 times since patch.
I’m not buying any more gems untill this is fixed.
I have a Guard with exo pvt armor and soldier runes. For accessoiries I have Berserker and Knight ones. I’m went for some more dps while sacrificing toughness and vit.
Why? Because I don’t need it in most dungeons I know well.
If you can anticipate the attacks of those bosses well, you can evade a lot of damage and you’ll never go down. You can support other players with SYG, HTL, SY, retreat and Aegis. If you activate them at the right time, you can help your allies a lot if they make a mistake.
If warriors go down and blame you, they probably only focused on attacking and completely ignored evading, while thinking you spawn a lot of protection (guess what, a guard cannot protect infinitely). That’s their issue actually, not really your problem.
So if you timed your shouts and skills well (class mastery as I like to call it), it’s probably the fault of someone else in your party. It’s the risk of pugging and that’s why I prefer to do my daily CoF runs with Guildies. We know each other and can anticipate on each other’s skills. Don’t feel down for one or two bad runs, learn for it and apply it to your future runs. You’ll always have people who are not very friendly, but just ignore them and think of the times runs went very well
Have the same error code.
This is the third day that this frequently happens to me, it seems that I’m not alone. (I lagg, d/c, get kicked out multiple times within one hour). Never had those problems before.
System specs:
Intel I5-3570k
8GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7950
Crucial M4 SSD 128GB
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
60 Mb/s connection
I also crash a lot (again, never had it before), my log is included in the attachment. As far as I can see, the AMD is to blame? :p

Here’s the Greatwas in motion
it has a nice animation, but no blood spatters
Is it still bugged in Far Shiverpeaks? The temple is still contested.
