i used to play necro, and with crappy healing, i learned to stay alive without ever healing basically. i use heal to remove conditions, not for healing sake. now i’ve made a new lvl80 mesmer, and using a full MF set and can still do dungeons fine without dying. however, i do admit my dmg is pretty much insignificant. thing is, in a PUG dungeon party, ppl arent going to notice how much dmg you do, but only how often you die. and since i rarely die, i get away with it. im sure there are other MF users like this. personally, im against MF, or make it average in party, but the way it is, i’ll keep “leeching”.
can you give them oversized weapons?
Since minions get destroyed when you go into lich mode, what you’re describing is very likely a bug that will be patched. Not exactly a solid rebuttal point.

I read it correctly the first time. Since Lichform was modified to destroy minions when you enter it to avoid minion overload, then simply changing the order to bypass the fix is likely to be patched at a future date.
it’s not a bug and it won’t get patched. there’s a reason you have time to summon 2×5 minions during lich form. anet isnt that stupid otherwise, they’d just increase cd time so you can only summon once. you’re supposed to be able to summon 5 and keep them even after lich form expires. also, this argument is pointless, its completely derailed from the topic

Lvl80 condition mancer. initially, necro is really fun, but once you begin to master it, you start to see where it falls apart. i switched to mesmer recently, and atm, i have no intentions of returning to necro. im not saying necro is bad, but there are many better options =]

in lich form, you can get 5 minions, leave lich then summon 5 more minions (one skill summons 2 minions) + if you kill something that makes another jagged horror, + you can summon a flesh reaver with rune of demon summoning. of course, the likeliness of this happening is nearly, but NOT 0 =]

what’s wrong with it? i can do 2-3k dmg from shattering 3 clones. That’s just one proc of the condition. none other conditions can do that much dmg with same stacks and duration. less whining, it’s most oped cond.
That’s the problem, it does damage from one proc and rarely more than that. 3k damage is your GS’s auto attack damage on half glass cannony build so not impressive especially since you lose all clones and need to make new ones which is easy BUT to shatter again for one or maybe two confusion procs is not good.
but you’re forgetting it’s also an aoe condition + base dmg. so it does up to 15k dmg with 5 targets. still doesnt justify why this cond needs to be buffed. mesmers are not an attrition classes otherwise it’d just be too OPed. you’re wanting too much from a class.
if you buff it any more, then what about burn? i agree burn does a ton of dmg, but it’s short and very few skills proc it. you want a cond that does lots of dmg with no downside. seems really unreasonable.
I just got ported to LA after jumping into the final box. Please fix this!
It is easy enough to get to 18 stacks of might, but then you’re left with nothing but your auto attack to use it on. If you set up a buff shatter (diversion or cry of frustration) before the intended use, you’ll have a reliable 9 stacks you can actually use. I don’t see how that’s over powered at all. Honestly, all professions should have a viable means to do something similar, rather than take it away from those who can (Warrior, Guardian, Engineer, Elementalist, Necromancer, and now Mesmer).

Not sure if there has already been a similiar post. I just wanted to know if anything will be done to the stealth clipping issue, or if it is part of the game?
In one match, I got petrified (1.5s), and burst down from 18k hp before I even saw anything. A bit unfair?
If you are concerned about powerlvling, and the focus is “helping” lower lvls, you could still do, difficulty = average lvl, and only players lower than or equal to that lvl get +1. This way, you can at least help multiple low lvl players, rather than helping each one individually.

this is going off topic. what i wanted was so that the skill doesnt go on full CD when its effect was never applied. why should we risk a full CD on skill + self-poison for a skill that is so difficult to use?
but, the rate at which they apply boons and remove condition has a much shorter cd than corrupt boon. how is this fair?
Currently, this skill will not do anything if the target is obstructed, or not in line-of-sight (ie, behind you). It will not work if the target evades/blocks. It will not work if you are blinded. I think there are too many accidental situations in spvp that causes this skill to be wasted.
I propose that this skill does not go on full CD and does not apply self-poison if this skill was not used properly.
PS, if you think it’s oped, let me just give you an idea. Corrupt boon is 45s cd, every class has a cond remove <45s. Every class has more boons than a necro. It’s only fair that necros have some compromise to their lack of boons and heals. If corrupt boon skill can fail, then why don’t self-applied boons fail?
When i transmuted eye of rodgort, the eye stops moving around. Please fix this. I put a lot of effort to craft this weapon.
I’m reading a lot of posts complaining about stealth. Personally, i don’t like the idea of stealth, but i doubt Anet will remove it. However, it is reasonable to reduce movement speed while in stealth. This way, thieves can still use stealth for the intention of not being seen briefly, and opponents can still counter with aoes. Furthermore, this will prevent lengthly stealth escapes. Thieves currently are able to stack 10s steath and then happily walk away. With a movement speed nerf, it is now possible to catch up and finish them off.
Please don’t flame. I just want to hear constructive feedback. I often see people argue, “learn to counter stealth” but frankly, you can’t do anything to stealth. You are no longer in control of the situation, while the thief has the option to strike or flee.
id like to suggest a small fix. when stealthed, player move speed is greatly reduced and no tele/ gap closers or stealth is removed. this make aoe counters more viable.

I believe MF should be a soloing stat. The effects are completley removed in parties/ teams. This will encourage people to stat for survive/ damage in dungeons, rather than loot.
Would be nice if leaderboard also showed every players’ most played class. From a statistical point of view, this would provide solid evidence as to which classes are oped/uped.
that wont work so well. boon – cond is 45s cd. elem can easily remove the cond and stack new boons.

also, cond transfer “misses” so you’d just waste it.
you can’t transfer conditions while blinded. none of the suggestions are realistic.
I have a necromancer, and constantly getting destoryed by blind/ daze chains. Is there any counter to this? My only condition remove is consume cond (25s) and well of power (60s). Thief can simply continue chain after one time use condition remove. Any suggestions please?

I have to admit, I am rather disappointed with the summon “ravens” effect on Superior Rune of the Mad King. To be honest, they look like seagulls. Can AN please change the models/ visuals to something more Halloween-themed. I suggest crows, or even bats.
i agree with this. i find jagged horrors more of a nuisance. in arah, when doing lupis, he has a chance to spawn grubs at your jagged horror, and since it the jagged horror runs up to the boss, lupis just eats the grub and gains an easy stack.
would be nice to see crows or bats instead of “ravens”.
