The hide area of effect rings check box doesn’t hide area of effect rings even for non-combo field skills like mark of blood from allied players. It disables the area of effect ring on skills I use (when I used mark of blood there was no ring). I was in fractal of the mists when another necro revived me with the trait. Also, the aoe rings won’t be disabled at all if they are tied to a combo field. While I like the look of the new combo field rings, I am wondering if this is a bug because it does add a lot of noise to the screen and defeats the purpose of the aoe ring disable check box.
I had the same problem but updating the graphics driver fixed it for me.
I would like to see them implement a sprint mechanic using the special action key (the one currently used for raids but not anywhere else) and the stamina bar (the same one as the glider). This would be as simple as pressing the special action key and then using stamina to move faster until you run out. To prevent spamming/stuttering the sprint they could add a three second cooldown or so when you stop sprinting. It would help alleviate the problems with some professions not having increased movement speed skills or traits and it would let everyone choose new traits and skills they want instead of traiting/taking skills to gain movement speed. As far as raids go, when you go into a raid the special action key would switch to whatever is needed for that raid.
I am getting huge fps drops everywhere I go in places that I didn’t get them before. Did they do something to the camera again?
I saw this once too and it also looks like part of the animation doesn’t start (the little crystal things).
I have the same problem in pvp and i use the lowest graphics for pvp. It’s the only skill that causes an fps drop for me.
Sometimes in the new area when I look at the big burning ship or even face the direction of the ship, the frames go way down. Is this caused by the smoke? Is it just because beta? Will anything be done about it? Sometimes this happens around other areas in the game and it always seems to be the smoke effects (crafting area in Lion’s Arch is a big one).
I think it would be possible. It could be implemented with something like changing the amour type and scaling it to that amour type status accordingly and keeping with the rarity and level requirement of the current armor. Now that hero points are a thing they can be refunded based on unlocks without being able to abuse the refund for other resources. This could be bought as an Black Lion consumable. I’m not to sure that which armor skin you switch to matters (maybe just make select a default basic skin and use transmutation stones) and as for the character customization I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t do anything to the story line.
What do you all think? Would there be any other constraints on profession swapping?
I think that the healing skill of the demon stance should give resistance instead of healing more for each condition. This would prevent any damage from conditions and that makes up for the healing, but it would also make the stance more synergistic with the other stances because the heal could be used well without conditions.
I also think that pain absorption should only copy conditions from allies on to you. It just feels like it doesn’t fit the theme of a demon to take conditions from allies as though it was doing them a favor. This could make the skill cost less too.
Also, pain absorption should not grant self resistance. Other than the trait, you should have to work to make the idea of self conditions work on this stance but the self resistance and drawing conditions is an all in one package.
One last think I was thinking about was banish enchantment. I think this should give you conditions based on which boons you remove instead of applying self vulnerability. It just feels too necromancer-y to have skills self apply conditions and applying more random conditions could be more interesting.
Do you think it’s possible for them to give weapon swapping for ele’s and engineers out of combat? I just don’t like having to switch weapons from my inventory and it’s not like out of combat weapon swapping would have an impact on balance right? Once again just for good measure: the weapon swapping would only be allowed out of combat.
