Hello GW2 community i wish to make a sugestion here…not a game sugestion but for wallpapers and that is that ArenaNet to include 1600×900 resolution wallpapers….PLEASE

Ok thank you Vayne, but it would be cool if ArenaNet could somehow create some sort of “thing” where fresh players could enjoy the past Events or major events…i now realise that Flame and Frost is gone for me =(

Hello there GW2 community, finally my notebook has been fixed and i can return to this great game.
But i have a question, since for example i am level 26 Thief and we know that Flame and Frost has come to an end can i play this lore quests each time i create a new character?

Is the Lore quests of Flame and Frost and The Secret of Southsun playable each time i create a new character? Or can i expect that i as a lvl 26 thief one day be able to participate in those events?

Hello ArenaNet team first of all i just love this game, i left WoW and SWTOR to play Guild Wars 2 and i don’t regret a bit.

Also about the issue in hand i have all my pc drivers up to date and many of the players have the same issue as me, i posted more than one thread in forums about this and no one even in ArenaNet seem to know or even answer to give us players an update or a solution about this issue.

The issue is that when questing, doing events or the usual game stuff i cant manage to hear the game music or soundtrack for long periods of time, sometimes the music will pop out at the end of a boss fight, event, or when in some zone, but it never plays continuosly…i even changed the music interval for minimum but still no changes.

Can you (ArenaNet team) give me some update or a way to fix this issue?
Because i have the game soundtrack and it is beautifull and it’s a shame i cant hear it correctly or as intended to be while playing the game.

P.S.: I created a support ticket but nothing…they asked me to do the Game Advisor thing but it’s only about this issue…isn’t that hard to give some simple feedback =(

yeah i’m having the same issue as many people seem to have…but it’s strange that nothing is being done to fix this…Arenanet should really take a look at this

Hello community when i browse the forums in the thief class i notice that all people seem only to rely on a build with D/P…im aiming for lots of damage, burst, a viable survival, etc but for a D/D build.

Anyone knows any decent or very good D/D build? Please if there are videos that explain the build please post the link here…

Hello community this is not my first post about Thief class, mainly about builds.

I love the Thief class in this game, since WoW i am a huge fan about rogue/thief class, but i always found it difficult to find or manage to structure a good build; my aim is pve (for the moment), but i wissh also to do pvp and i was thinking if anyone knows a very good pve/pvp build (mix of both)?

I aim for a build in wich i use daggers in both hands, and to do lots, lots of damage but if possible with nice survival capability and HP, thoughness etc…

If possible some sites or videos with all the build, gear, stats etc all explained.

I read in the forums that many people seem to have the same issue, my pc is fine it runs the game almost at max all hardware and software is updated, i tried to twick the sound options but still no results…is there a way you guys in ArenaNet can fix this or we players? Because i enjoy the music of the games i play and in a MMO music is a must have and GW2 OST is amazingly beautifull.

Hello there people…it’s been a while since i started my search for a Guild in this server (Far Shiverpeaks – EU), i found ONE only, The Conclave, i think i will join them, they seem to be a very active and cool guild full of helpfull members and they focus in all that GW2 has to offer.

But meanwhile i would like to keep my choices open, and with that in mind i will make this final Guild search thread to ask (PLEASE) if there are other Guilds in this server?
If there is any please post here the guild info…i would be very happy to join one soon and i wish to have more than one choice, i really want to be involved in a community where i feel usefull and where i know i can count with the members of that guild…because when i’m playing i don’t see players use the general chat or if they do i don’t know how to join them, i only have “contact” with other players when i’m doing the same quests/events that they are doing, there is no communication, nor a simple hello, just finish the event and they’re gone…the game or at least this server feels a bit empty but when i see the number of people loged in the numbers are of 17000+ online, it’s really weird that people don’t seem to chat alot.

But the problem for me isn’t only the chat, it’s that i really want to join a guild, a guild that deserves to be called by that name, because there are many out there that only have the name guild because the core isn’t there…sadly.
I’m not criticising everyone is free to do what they want, or to manage they’re game community as they well wish.

Me, i’m just new in this wonderfull (imo) game and i want to be part of a guild that is cool, mature, helpfull, and that wants to enjoy this game to the core.

P.S: i saw that many players in forums have complained about a sound/music issue, myself have noticed that issue. For example, i’m a Nord and in my starting area (Shiverpeak Mountains) im questing for long periods of time and ther’s simply no music…is this a game bug? Is Arenanet updated to this issue and will they fix it? Or can we players fix this?

Please post someting if there are some guilds in this server…my search is going on for a while now and i’m starting to be a bit let down because i didn’t have any success.

Hello there community, I’m Diablo Pt (Pt = Portugal) it’s my character name, i’m new at GW2 i have a Thief level 21 and sometimes the world feels empty, sure there are players doing events and such but the chat many of times is very empty, no one chats there, the only way that i had to chat with other players was when i was in a very small party for event completion.
So i was thinking that the time has come for me to search for a guild, but in what concerns MMORPG and since WoW i am scared of joining a guild, because in WoW they say “join us we are a cool helpfull community…you will feel happy here” well not quite, even when i was in guild the guild chat and the people of the guild didn’t seem so active and i tried more than 15 different guilds, i have to yet find a guild worthy of the name.
Yes this is a virtual world, but if they invented guilds that seem to a close community or even a “big happy family” i do want to be part of one, be helped, be helpfull, do dungeons, party, events, chill out with guild mates, etc… i do wish to be part of a cool, helpfull and very active community, the size of guild doesnt matter, numbers don’t match quality.
I just wich for a guild that is actually a GUILD, and lives up to it, like i said, party in events, dungeons, cilling out all together, even in gatherings if we stand there for an entire hour or more i dig such things.
I aiming for PvE, PvP, WvsW, etc…i enjoy all components of the game and i’m sure that there are more new things for me and being on a cool, dedicated and active guild will definitely help me find that new stuff, and improve as a player.
I really hope i can find a Guild like this or better.

Hello there, first of all i want to say i’m sorry for the people that tryed to help me within these forums about this same issue, Thief builds.

I just want to say that i really love the Thief class, but i’m aiming for dagger/dagger build (or D/D build isn’t viable?), is there any builds you people can recommend? Please take in consideration that i’m aiming for a damage build with , if possible, lots of burst damage.

1- Please if you dont mind can you paste the links with the builds/videos?
2- If possible can anyone post videos or build guides for any good D/D build (damage/burst)?
3- I said a build with lot’s of damage but i wouldn’t mind of a build with physical damage, poisons etc.
4- If possible in the links for build web sites or videos try to have the traits choice and they’re explanation for them to be in the build.
5- Don’t forget the runes or ruby orbs i should pick (by the way can anyone explain me where, how and when i can have ruby orbs or the runes); wich of of these 2 i should go at the begining lvls?

P.S. : Please don’t forget the links with the builds please; i admit here, i’m very noob at this game, so i really wish to take advice of people that really understand this game and in particular this Thief class.

I bought the game about 1 month ago, i left WoW for GW2 and it was the best, and rightest choice i did concerning a pc game.

2- You’re build is all about damage or mixed with something else? Survival perhaps?

Hello there i’m very new in GW2 community and game.
I had a sylvari mesmer lvl 15 but i was taking too much damage, probably i didn’t have the skill to master the class so i chosed to go Norn Thief, i love the race, the lore, the zone, etc.

And this time with the Norn Thief i really want to adapt to the game with this class (i always wanted a rogue/thief and i prefer them in GW2 than WoW), but i am afraid to comit errors, so i wanted to ask someone here if you can give me advise to this follow concerns:

1- I’m aiming for damage build (don’t know if i can mix damage with a bit of survival) so wich Stats i should focus on?

2- Anyone knows a really good web site where i can see good damage builds? At the begining for pve and later pvp, or a mix of both?
I found this site http://www.noxxic.com/ but i don’t know if it’s any good.

P.S. : i already posted a Thread similar to this in another part of this forums, but i really wish for some good help and more detail in this mather.

Hello Guild Wars 2 community, i’m here because i made a Nord Thief and i’m just loving it. Yes i know that seems contraditory a Thief for a Nord because of the lore and all that stuff, but well i just love it.

So i wanted to know for Thief wich crafting profession you would advise me to take?

As i’m here i also wanted to know you’re opinions about wich stats i should focus in therms of gear weapons and stuff for Pve, and later the stats for WvW/PvP.

for weapons i don’t know Wiser with Age, i think i will pick daggers…but i really don’t know i’m really new in this MMO i love it it’s much better than wow, the interface, the gameplay, the lore etc are great.

One more thing i know that we have the portals for fast travel in the game but is there a plan to introduce mounts? I think for example (as dragons are very cool in this game) that dragons would be a very nice GW2 mount =)

Hello community so after thinking a little i decided to go Norn Thief, i’m lvl 5 but i’m having so much fun =), i know that Thiefs may go against a Nord background because of all the proud and strong society they are…but i think as in all societies that they also will have some rogues.

But my question here is what stats i should focus on when i, for example, find a dagger or a peace of armor, should i chose vitality, toughness?

Hello there GW2 community i deleted my lvl 15 sylvari mesmer i enjoyed it at first but later i seem to take lots of damage, then i started a Norn Ranger just to see how it felt (i was immediately caught with the beauty of that culture and place, i always was attracted by glacial/snowy landscapes i think i cought that from WoW)…Ranger seems very cool and easy to lvl up (or i’m wrong?) but i also like or i’m eager to try Thief and Elementalist profession but Norn don’t seem fit to those classes lorewise.

Is there a way for a Norn to be a Thief or Elementalist? Or there are other races that are more appropriate?

I really enjoy the Norn race…

What do you mean by warrior, guardian and ranger haven’t a steed of learning?
Anyone that plays or has played as ranger can tell me if it’s very good at pve and easy to level up?

About thiefs what are the most appropriate races for it?

Hello community so it’s been a while since i bought GW2 and i’m really enjoying this game…i left WoW because of this and i don’t regret it a bit, the game is awesome is far more complex and entertaining than WOW but i started to find what it may seem a skill issue.
I created a sylvari Mesmer (i don’t even know if this is one of the best professions for this race) i was enjoying the gameplay and i love the begining zone, i’m now lvl 15 but i seem to have issues with this profession, because it seems very complex when i’m against mobs that are of my lvl or close to my lvl i take much damage even with the illusions so i tought why not to try another path, because in the begining i was very attracted by the Norn, but once again i don’t know what fits them the best.

I really wasnt to have a Norn character but i’m hesitating between Ranger, Thief and Elementalits but in those 3 professions i really don’t have a clue in wich is more appropriate lorewise and even to lvl up with easy and good for later pvp.
If anyone can help me with this issue please help i would be very much appreciated…and if you know other very good professions for specific races please tell me.

In a final note and i saw this in forums and i apologize in advance for this, is there a OP profession in the game?

Hello there i’m new in Guild Wars 2, i have buy it, start playing it and i have stoped playing WoW and i do not regret.

At first i was a bit scared because i bought GW2 for 55€ and i was afraid that i didn’t like the game, yes there are many videos and web sites where we can see gameplay and features of the game but since it is a buy and after that we play a huge MMORPG for free i wasn’t certain if the game was worth it…the fact is that i love GW2 and i’m only a level 10 mesmer, this game has hooked me for real.

My question here is, is there any upcoming patch or content already announced?

About the expansions i have a question, since when i bought GW2 and they say in the game box and even in several web sites we only have to buy the game once all the rest is free right? So when expansions will be launched how they will be available to players? By free download in the web site or we will actually have to spend money to have expansions?

And are there more updates to come? Any update soon?
And more thing, are there digital ebooks about the lore of GW2 on the internet and if there are can i obtain them for free?
