Hi,

Returning player looking to get involved with a group of laid back oceanic players / aussies. Have found it hard to find people in game and so many old posts about dead guilds.

Keen to level up my alts and do some dungeons. I was big in WvW in the past atm on TC but might look to xfer later to your server if u guys wvw too.

I would say that JQ and TC has similar numbers in terms of NA. The thing about JQ is that we focus highly on map co-ordination with the server TS and have a few map leading NA WvW guilds with our biggest guild having 40 people per guild online during NA prime. I will not say JQ is stacked as we don’t have the 500 man guilds that are present on SoR and BG. Our EU and Oceanic time is less than other T1 Servers, but we still manage to hold ppt because of decided players defending our towers for us. We have a strong SEA Presence but again not stacked with only ATM fielding more than 30 players during SEA Prime.

If we cannot convince you to come to T1, I would consider TC and FA. Both these servers have good oceanic and SEA coverage and have a few organised WvW guilds. Before you make any decision I would speak with the servers you are interested in, ask for honest opinions and talk about the weaknesses of the server. Most servers I’m sure will be willing to help with the transfer costs as it benefits you to transfer to their server, so try not to be bribed as much. Also consider narrowing it down to 1-3 servers and sending a member over there to run reset and NA prime to get a feel of how the server operates.

JQ is a server which has alot of potential. After the bandwagon left when we started to drop to 2nd in tier 1, we are holding 3rd spot in tier 1. We have always needed Oceanic and European coverage, but now with a number of guilds going to form DB we need NA coverage as well. If your guild wants to be a WvW leader or just help us in co-ordination then we welcome you to the server =).

I suggest you narrow your server search down to 2-5 servers. Then get one of your senior members or officers to transfer to the server and check it out for a couple of days. I want to make a point as well to be careful about taking monetary offers with transferring. Most servers with a decent community can organize a form of fundraiser to help with transfer costs.

I didnt realise we at AoS had 400 members =P
JQ server consists of 200-300 player guilds who look at lead the groups of pugs into battle. We do not have the 500+ guilds of other servers, we focus on leadership and strategy over face tanking. Myself personally would welcome anysize guilds willing to co-ordinate multi map pushes, havoc or diversion tactics.
Being in Oceanic timezone I know we need a bigger oceanic presence.. 5-10 people in this timezone would make a massive difference.
If you would more information about Jade Quarry during Oceanic and SEA timezones you can contact Flake(Aus), Indeva (Aus), Zibbeh (SG) or Ooze (NZ). If you have difficulty with English I can organize someone to speak with you from most Asian countries.

As much as I respect WM from their SBI days, there are a few rumours going around which we can “add to the fire” of this thread:

1) Most of WM Korean’s Members are enlisted in the army.
2) Something about 12k Gold.

As some people have said, really there isn’t much point to these threads, other than announcing it so your fans will follow you.

Total borderland population can be scaled with a high and low percentage.
For example, if 200 people are in WvW from BG
JQ and SoR are allowed up to 250
There could be a minimum percentage, such as in this case 150 players, to prevent damage from blackouts.
However, I don’t think this is as much of a issue in higher Tiers, I would like to see siege caps per towers first.

Aggroculture [AGGR] is an oceanic gaming community with a collection of Australian, Oceanic and South East Asian Players. We are looking for any players who will be interested in joining the fun of our “night crew”. Such as Late Night/ Early Morning NA, Aussie, NZ, SG, MY, Asia etc etc.

Aggroculture is a small close-knit gaming community with a variety of players. We encourage players to interact and play together, not just in Guild Wars 2. We value friendship through building a long term network of gamers within our community. We expect a high level of respect among members and do not tolerate racism or drama.

Aggroculture is World vs World focused, but we PvE a bit as well. We are on Jade Quarry. Please contact us about how we can facilitate your server transfer. We want our members to represent us, especially in WvW.

We run guild events such as WvW, Guild Missions and more around 6pm-12pm GMT +8 (7am-1pm GMT/UTC) two to three times per week.

Teamspeak 3 is required during guild missions and WvW. It is encouraged to use it outside these times to get to know people in our community. It is not required that you talk and we have quiet rooms available.

The Guild is Structured with three GW2 Guild Leaders, four WvW Commanders and six Officers. Currently we have 20-30 players logging in each day. We are working towards unlocking all guild missions and have Lvl 5 or 6 of all Ranks. Guild buffs can be requested within reason.

Just to add to the ‘mega alliance’ he mentions about VAL. When we ran together with them on CD, usually it would be 2-3 guilds with 20 odd. Although, it was thought that our guilds process 100+ armies due to their ability to defend against large zergs.

This thread is not to complain that we need to pay to transfer. I actually welcome paid transfers. However for those who haven’t decided on a new server such as new players, I think the gem cost is quite high.
I compare this gem cost to permanent things such as character and bank slots.

Do we need this high gem cost?
