Still waiting on tangible evidence that proves this problem even exists in the first place. A player can “report” all they want. The vocal minorities speaking on behalf of thousands of other players on their server is astounding. Where exactly in my config files or option menu can I find how many people each team has on the map in WvW? I’d like to take a look at that statistic. As soon as one of you finds it, let me know…
By the way, fun stuff earlier today with the constant back and forth with SoR at Cliffside. There has yet to be a dull moment, albeit a few frustrating ones.
Just a bump for great justice!
I figured I might as well seeing as how I got locked out of WvW reset tonight for being lazy and showing up late to reset. The competition in T1 is definitely unparalleled now. We have two great servers trying to take our first place spot and the queues are filling up fast on all sides.

Violent Impact
A Guild Wars 2 chapter of Impact Gaming Community
Website: http://www.impact-gaming.us/
Recruitment status: Open
Timezones: North American
Server: Sea of Sorrows
VoIP: Teamspeak 3
Mission Statement
While not a casual guild, Violent Impact strives to achieve progression without the oppressive rigidity of a ‘hardcore’ guild. We genuinely get excited at the prospect of amazing teamwork in the face of challenging content. That level of teamwork can only come from truly exceptional and talented players who not only possess a high level of knowledge about their class and game mechanics, but also a genuine affection for the people they play with. Through organization in our own guild and constructively interacting with the other guilds on our server; our goal is to become a force to be reckoned with.
Recruitment
Our players come from all walks. From the student with surprisingly far too much free time on their hands to the player with a family and full time job. We do our best to accommodate each; and everyone is a valued player here. However, it also almost universally guaranteed that each and every one of them has the following qualities:
Active – You genuinely enjoy the game!
An active player isn’t necessarily one who is logging in every available minute of every day. We cater to all types of players and their various schedules. Active players don’t just log in for guild events, and then are rarely seen until the next event. It’s someone who enjoys exploring all the game’s content, be it leveling, crafting, gathering, questing, or anything else in between. Sometimes it’s about the journey, not the destination.
Mature – You can take a joke and dish ‘em out!
Applicants are not limited by age, but they must be intelligent, considerate, and enjoy friendly competition. A sense of humor is an absolute must! In addition, we abhor drama; we’re all here to have a good time together.
Reliable – You’re responsible and can be counted on!
Our players are able to follow a schedule. They check the forums frequently, and communicate with members and leaders. We consider communication one of the most important aspects to a successful guild. If you signed up for an event and can’t make it, please let your teammates know! If you plan on being absent for some time, drop the leader or an officer a quick note.
Skillful – You desire to play at the maximum potential.
You can do this using your past knowledge and experience of game mechanics, or by investing time to research, test new things, or practice playing your role until you can execute it with precision. You must be the kind of person who pushes the envelope in the gaming world, evolving and adapting to an ever-changing gaming environment.
Motivated – You want to get things done to better yourself and the group!
To get something, you must want it first. Players here possess a passion for success and are driven to discover possibilities. Self starters are highly desirable. Be proactive in your play. Don’t wait around for a group when you could be getting one started yourself.
Additionally, our guild operates under a modular event system, wherein participation is a requirement of all full members. This system is in place to ensure all our members, ranging from casual PvE to hardcore PvP, are made to feel welcome and a part of something bigger than themselves. It is also a means to ensure equal participation among all members, yet at a very easy to achieve level. You can read more about this system and schedule here.
If you feel you fit this criterion, we’d love to meet you.
1. Head over to Impact Gaming Community and register for a forum account.

IGC About
Impact Gaming Community (IGC) is a group of skilled players who have gathered together under a single banner to engage in progression oriented game play with a structured and persistent group of players. Each of us has a passion for MMO gaming, but MMOs do not solely define the scope of our game play.
IGC is presently home to three chapters: Neutral Impact (FFXIV), Violent Impact (Guild Wars 2), and Radiant Impact (TOR). There are also two gamer groups belonging to League of Legends and MechWarrior Online. We are always looking to expand into other games and to remain a solid team able to field a formidable presence into whatever game we embark on.

I’d say you’re lucky they even gave you an achievement and a title. To be honest, maxing the crafting professions is not difficult. Hell, you can do all 8 in one day if you have the 45g to blow. I’m akin to agree with Bevillian on this.
It’s jewelry. It’s not nearly as easy to obtain good jewelry as it is good anything else. That’s why the crafting costs are so much higher. Think about how many rare/exotic weapon/armor pieces you’ve obtained thus far compared to jewelry, I’d put money on at least a 10:1 ratio. I know that’s how it works out for me and everyone I talk to.
Well I saw a guy the other day using frostfang and rodgort and didn’t notice the little black/red splotches the torch makes, only frostfangs stuff. Not sure if this is intended, or if his particles just didn’t load for me, but based on the information I have I’d say the main-hand takes priority over off-hand.
As to why one-handers cost as much as two-handers, they’re legendary. Intended to be very difficult to obtain. How would it be fair for a person who worked really hard on a greatsword only getting 1 weapon to a person who worked just as hard and getting two? If you want two awesome looking items, you gotta work for both of em.
thousands of people got precursors off of the lost shores event. In the midst of this Anet banned thousands of bots. You now have less bots farming T6 and WAY more people buying them now that everyone has a shot at legendary items. How is this hard to understand? Everyone cried about precursors being to ridiculous to obtain before lost shore, and now that everyone has one they’re gonna cry about the mats. My guess is the next content patch will drop a random T6 stack to appease all of you. I’d reckon the icy runestone crying will commence following that. None of you got in early to finish them fast using godskulls and gem buying and all that crap, so now you’re gonna have to tough it out and grind your kitten off like intended.
To the rocket scientists from SBI that keep flipping Godslore and building flame rams thinking that they’re crippling our supply:
THE. SUPPLY. RESETS. TO. FULL. WHEN. WE. FLIP. IT. BACK.
I really shouldn’t be saying this at all, since you waste potentially precious time building these things, but this level of stupidity must be put on display.
HAHA! Dude… really?
Isle of Janthir, the veterans of tier 2.
Haha. That’s awesome.
It really is. If I recall correctly we lost most of our map on 11/15 from around 9am-2pm because of some server (you know who you are) “PvDooring” us. It’s sad that we can get trashed like this for playing pretty hard, speaking mainly for the NA players as that’s who I have contact with, when other servers do exactly what we’re “guilty” of.
Peetee, quit dumping your PvDoor nonsense on multiple threads (can’t believe I see you mirroring your garbage elsewhere) and giving your server a bad name. You have some great people playing for SoR and it sucks a lot of forum-browsers are going to see your post first and label your server based on YOUR attitude.
“if you’re going to misquote me, get the quote right” HAHA. Way to fail at being condescending dude. I suppose you want people to shut up when they talk to you as well?
So it’s a triforge pendant in a different slot? K? That looks neat.
It’s no where near as low as 2%. It’s at least 20%, or could be as high as 79%.
Keep in mind people, 86.39% of statistics are made up on the spot.
If only more of our armchair mathematicians understood the rules of per-100 and how a DR system will affect it.
Sea of Sorrows.
-Some of the rudest, meanest, most hilarious Australian players in the game. (not all of em are, not by a longshot. But we have a lot)
-Tears, delicious tears.
-Those who speak on behalf of an entire server population and get us in trouble on many a forum. (People like myself, haha, but i’m not a D-bag….)
I’m pretty happy with how I look. I really dig the starting mask, which is what I continue to use. Granted my actual armor is T3 cultural and most people cannot afford it, but I think the Order of Whispers is a fair alternative along with the Sorrows Embrace and Twilight Arbor sets. Like previously mentioned mixing and matching I think is what works best. I use a combination of a few armor sets to achieve the look I’ll go ahead and link below.
So I know we have some updates coming with this content patch for Black Lion chests, but what I want to know is if anyone knows the exact date those will become available. We have a somewhat staggered release of content spanning from the 15-17, when could I expect chests? Probably Friday(16th)? Or was there a specific date on this that I missed? I was unable to find a thread regarding this either, probably because it’s trivial, but any and all help is appreciated.
What they NEED man, is to let you pick up badge/loot bags when you’re dead. It makes no sense for them to, obviously, but GEEEEZ is it frustrating to have like 8 bags floating around your dead body. Furiously dragging them into your inventory or spam-clicking them in the hopes it might, just that one time, actually work.
I can agree on the say, 2 minute, timer before it kicks you to map after you die. That’s a solid implementation that wouldn’t leave to many complainers on either side, and enough happy campers in the middle.
I would be very happy to see IoJ working with us SoS’ers to kick SoR’s behind. Shall we discuss a truce?
Stop it.
1. I’m small.
2. I’m purple.
3. I think I look awesome.
What’s not to love? Excelsior! (that actually get’s annoying though…)
Edit: Oh, and yeah… Yoda rolls… nuff said.

You can definitely still use soulbound items in the forge on the character they’re soulbound to. Terra answered this. As to the other part though, I am almost positive that I had a chrysocola in my emerald pendant before I threw em in the forge. I would let it sit anyways though like you thought. Especially if the stats aren’t crucial. Also, finish your Ruby pendant before you finish the other. It’s by far the most expensive, and always has been.
I play an Asura, so I hear “Excelsior” more often than I care to. The ones I hear a lot that never get old are “No, your head is funny. It looks like a little raisin.”, and “Thunder” from Norn elementalists. I never really consciously listen to any of the other class sound bytes except for “Thunder” because I half expect Lion-O from Thundercats to chime in.
The bomb planting part is fine in how it’s currently run. It’s literally only longer, do you what you did before for an extra 90 seconds. I do agree though that it would be a lot nicer if they made it an actual fight and not a kite fest though. That’s just a lot more fun than running around in circles for 3 minutes.
What they NEED to fix is howkittenbuggy the magmacyte portion is. The part where Magg wants you to hop across the lava. It bugs out for me and others on my server 3/5 runs. Where he refuses to meet someone at the other end when they get there. Then he just slowly dies while standing still. Once he goes down, as many of you know, the run is basically over. It takes forever and a day to get him up, repeatedly, to reset the event. Sometimes if you port back to start he auto-resets, but sometimes he doesn’t. If he falls into a fire circle, forget about it. There are a few time-consuming ways to get past that part even if it messes up, but they’re annoying as hell and things no one should be forced to do.
