An evil band of thieving robots has been travelling around Tyria to all of our events tugging at our heartstrings asking for money for the poor and down trodden inhabitants of Tyria. The Queen’s Pavilion donations had to make them the richest in all the land. Wintersday has come and not only are those robots traveling around gold plated covered in bling, they are now using our money to create clones of themselves!!!! And yet… They have left the poor people of Lion’s Arch to suffer without any decorations at all, no presents, no Wintersday cheer to help them forget their troubles.

I say we demand answers and recycle these swindlers into good usable tech! We can hang them around Lion’s Arch as shiny ornaments and then put them to work on cleanup duty I think.

I did not get logged off before the cutoff for the update to begin and I was logged off and never saw the app relaunch.

When I try to run GW2 I see the .exe in task manager but that is it. This is on a fresh install of Win7 that is working great.

I deleted the GW2 folder and moved a working updated folder from another PC and deleted everything in c:\…\appdata\local\temp\ and nothing changed. I moved the .dat and tried running just GW2.exe, and in each scenario I tried with and without the -repair flag.

Still, nothing happens. When I deleted the .dat and run the .exe a new .dat was created but it is 0k.

Any suggestions?

I hate to argue with a dev; however, I beg to differ.

When opening TP and doing a search of lets say everything I get a very limited list of items with a message saying I’ve reached my max results. Now, if I enter into EG mode I get a list that I believe it is safe to assume is about 5x as long.

Explain this?

From what I’m seeing to view the extra listings enter into the aforementioned alternate ‘I am Evon Gnashblade’ mode.

I know Legendary does not drop, but IT DOES DROP in my bag when I swap weapons….

My equipment bag fills up with blues super fast. I don’t get that many rare weapons either and very few exotics but my exotic bag used to be full of spare armor/weapons sets but the amount of exotics I carry on most characters anymore is very small. I do let my rares build up usually before I run them through the MF or salavge them though.

The tier-specific bags are very helpful for me. It keeps everything clean and saves a lot of time. If you farm events a lot and salvage lots of stuff it is nice having things separated out. The functionality of those bags has just become even more useful with the new TP design.

I also run a full set of bags on these characters so if another tier bag did come out I’d probably quit carrying the craftsman’s bag and allow crafting stuff to go into a non-specific bag and oiled junk bag. With the fairly new ability to increase stack sizes in the bank I rarely ever go over so depositing quickly makes that stuff go away.

WHAT? NO NO NO, you guys got this all wrong. Before ascended and legendary weapons were added with the additionof FotM boxes a player could achieve perfect ordering of their inventory. It was nice, clean, neat, everything where I wanted it. NOW, legendary and ascended weapons since they are not master, rare, or exotic rarity class go into a normal bag, a standard equipment bag with blues, or if those are full whatever bag it can get a slot in when switching out weapon sets.

SO, I am proposing the addition of 1 new type of bag. A bag that all ascended and legendary items will go to directly. This way when I swap out weapon sets from bag to player the weapons go back where I want them instead of all over the place.

All I am asking for is the continued organization I had before ascended weapons/armor came out and I collected a bunch of legendary weapons. This would also work for when swapping out ascended rings, amulets, etc…

And again, if not adding a new class of bag/box it would be nice if all of these types of items would go directly into an exotic FotM box because this one only fills when I’ve been lazy and haven’t cleaned inventory for a while.

Not drops, from weapon swapping and/or armor swapping. For instance, if you swap from 2 one handed weapons to a 2-handed weapon one weapon will replace the weapon you swap with and the other goes various places depending upon what bags are full. When you carry dual asc or leg like axe/axe or any other combo of one handed weapons things start scattering around. Once you are carrying dual Moot, dual Frostfang, Rodgort, Howler, etc.. etc.. and various asc weapons it tends to get messy. For my engi it is not as big of an issue, but for my war, guard, and ranger it is annoying.

Simply add 1 new item that can be purchased with FotM relics that is 20 slot for asc/leg, problem fixed. There are not enough things to spend relics on anyway for people who constantly run fractals so put the cost at like 400 relics or something.

Before ascended gear, and before I started getting a number of legendary weapons, if you had a full set of bags and used FotM boxes for 3 of your slots everything sorted so nice.

SO, with the addition of ascended gear and now that enough time has passed to allow some people to get a legendary collection I suggest releasing a bag/box that these two rarity levels will auto drop into.

If not, it would be nice if they would auto drop into the exotic FotM box at least for those of us who have replaced a large amount of our exotic gear because we all know FotM exotic box isn’t filling up fast with drops.

Yes, very unfortunate. I can see how setting a limit may speed up TP use. There should be a way, like before, allowing the user to go to the next page until reaching the end of all currently listed items or current listed bids.

Before the update my TP also listed my entire buy/sell history over the last couple of months which was thousands of items. For instance, this was really handy if I had been holding an item for a while and had forgot the original purchase price. I have now lost this ability.

Unfortunately, a sort only shows those items currently loaded. I know there are people with over 1,000 items listed so even if changing the sort method would also change the refresh no matter what sort method was used more than likely there will always be items that are not shown.

The new TP will only display 200 items for sale at one time. I have an account I run just the TP on for flipping to keep my buy/sell separate from personal purchases. That account had way more items listed on update day than the current 200 limit. I cancelled some items and relisted and now all I can see is the latest listed items. There is no way for me to even cancel old items without cancelling the newest listed because that is all that is displayed.

With all the welcome updates to the TP this one totally ruined it for me. How do we circumvent this problem? Anet must change this new limitation. I assume with all the people that earn their gold from flipping this has to be causing headaches for many people.

With the updates coming to the mini pets I am wondering will they now keep up better with the player? Ranger pets keep up fine but mini pets lag so far back when in open world pve you never see them. It’s very annoying. Something that can fly should be able to keep pace…

already would take a huge loss, so may as well sit on the horde I have…. I’ve got the space. Mediums were staying quite a bit higher, then the bottom dropped out!

maybe I’ll hold and wait n see, losses can’t get much worse at this point

Are the scarf and spectacles that came out with Dry Top only going to be dropping for a limited time like the monocle or will they be dropping in that area from now on?

I had unlocked the entire set of bank options for my personal guild I made and I allow a couple of my friends to also use the storage space. Now, when I try to access my guild bank it says that I have not created one yet; however, when I check my guild upgrade options it shows that I have purchased all of the guild bank upgrades. I filed a support request with the in-game tool but the issue has not been fixes.

When I first started out I bought a pvt backpiece and I managed to upgrade it all the way to the Fractal Capacitor, but now I want that look with zerker stats. Do I have to make a book or a quiver and then infuse it, or can I just make a book or quiver, transmute, and then forge the fractal capacitor again? I would much rather buy 250 ectos and grind for tokens to get a gift of ascension than buy 250 bloods.

has anyone else noticed problems with this event on Fort Aspenwood? I’ve been trying to get the armor for over a week and have not seen the WP uncontested once and I cannot find how to start the event. Is it bugged? Should I give up on my armor?

The CPU in my PC is an i7-3930K, 2 AMD Radeon 7950 video cards, and 16GB of RAM on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. I only get 30 FPS or less in some places and the video cards are reporting maybe 45% utilization. Why is the game not fully utilizing my cards? In LA, since Wintersday started the lag is so bad the town is unbearable.

Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this problem? I’ve tried messing with the vsync and refresh rate settings in game but they had no affect.
