2. If you really love to play WvW, you won’t stop it because of this. You will make the best out of it as fast as possible to hit the other servers as hard as you can.

Hey all,

So I sent this thread to the dev team to get some answers for you, and here’s what we’ve got!

When the tournament starts, world ratings are used to sort the initial matchups. This will include the results of the match ending on March 28th.

Matchups will not function in the same manner as they did in Season 1; The initial round of the tournament will match the worlds in each league according to their world rating. After that round has ended, worlds will be matched up according to how many points they have in the tournament. This will continue after each round, which means that the matchups are not predetermined but are dependent upon the results of the previous matchups. If two teams have the same number of points, the team with the higher world rating will be considered the higher seed for the purposes of the matchup. Matchups will continue to match worlds that are close to each other in performance, rather than following a predetermined schedule – which will make for much more exciting and competitive matches. Then I have two little questions for you:

1.) Why they change the prices on 28th based on 28th ranking and not on 14th ranking?
2.) Why they didn’t make the leagues associations official, if they are already been set?

So I don’t believe that it is decided already until a dev gives us the information or the league associations will be made official.
Anet please answer this, there are enough threads open about this single theme, end speculations and give us clarity.

P.S.: As I remember the preseason 1 prices were also based on the ranking two weeks before season 1 started and the prices and associations of leagues for season 1 were set on the ranking of the date when season started.

Don’t worry guys.
The hint in chat: For this tournament associated with server xy, means that you played for this server during Season 1 (in words ONE). When new Season 2 (=Spring Tournament) starts and you are doing activities in wvw for your actual server, you will be associated with your actual server.

P.S.: The historian just came out of his/her dusty library and is a little bit confused from this awesome colours, the fresh air and the people asking him/her questions.^^

I have thought some hours about what it can mean that the prices for
transferring at the weeks of tournament will be set at the ranking of 28th March
and not at the ranking of 14th March as the prices for pretournament.

The only reason I can imagine is that the setup for the leagues will really be based
on the ranking at 28th March, if you like it or not.

But Anet, please, give us an answer soon and before tournament starts.

Matchup 3: 7,8,9

Hi everybody!

I want to know which is the significant date for the assignment of a server to
the leagues (gold/silver/bronze) in 2014’s spring tournament.

Will it be the ranking at the 28th March when the new matchups comes up?

Or will it be decided with the patch at the 18th March when transfercosts are established?
And if it will be the 18th which ranking: The ranking of the matchup-change at 14th March or the actual ranking at 18th March?
