It’s been a problem since launch. Very frustrating.

If someone wants to buy gold and mailing it is detectable they tell the buyer to place something on the TP for the amount of gold they bought. Probably just a bug though.

First let me say I really dislike these personal story instances. Some classes have little choice but to die and run back to finish off many encounters. Thats not fun. Way too many bugs and crashes too.

My latest problem: To open doors you kill a mob, he drops an orb, you place the orb, door opens. However, i think i’m on the 3rd door and I killed the mob, got the orb and when I got to the location to place the orb I got jumped by some mobs. I fought them off using the attack abilities on the orb but after a few seconds the orb dissappeared and I was weilding my weapons again.

Now there is no orb and I can’t respawn the mob that gave me the orb. So what? I have to do the entire instance over? Thats not going to happen.

Its not fun. Most battles are 4 vs. Zerg. Never once have i started a fight where the outcome was in doubt. Plus i usually can’t even see the enemy thats right in front of me.

I found some purple dye called Veronica Dye. Scooby Doo reference?

Veronica is a purple flower..so um…nothing to see here.

It drops me to the character select screen. Says something about losing connection to the server. I can log right back in but I’m outside the instance and have to do the whole thing over.

I’m guessing the solo instances are on their own server? Maybe they need beefed up.

It really makes me not want to play. Each time it happens I stay off the game for days.

Elementalist are the king of AoE. You should have less of a problem with a thief than any class in the game.

I lost count of how many times i’ve been disconnected from the server during a story instance after killing dozens upon dozens of mobs.

It makes me not even want to log in knowing I have to do it all over again.

The only time I have ever lost connection is during these solo instances.

Star Wars the Old Republic beat gold sellers by making sure their wasn’t anything useful to buy with game money. Most people have millions of credits and nothing to do with them.

When a game allows you to purchase the best items in the game their is always going to be a demand for the games currency. No Trade, Bind on Pickup, Be Present for the Fight, boss drops is the only way to go to put a dent in gold sellers.

This is like saying you wouldn’t illegally download music if the companies just lowered their prices.

Overall it was better than I expected considering the game is new. EQ2 did better events but not until their 3-4 year of development .

The drop rate on skins was a huge disappointment though. The whole point of Halloween is for everyone to look “halloweeny” so they should of been more common. The materials for crafting them is another slap in the face. Sure I can make my own Halloween skins hopefully by Christmas .

The clock tower was a fiasco. Should of been a solo instance. Asura got screwed.

Also, the Mad Memoir book has the exact same stats as the item I was already wearing. That’s just lazy.

I would have done it more but after seeing the act 2 reward had the exact same stats as the green item i was already wearing it seemed kinda pointless.

Thank you! For not just giving everyone skins. It would have been like giving every kid a trophy while not keeping score.

This will hopefully not cheapen it for those already lucky enough to get drops.

They are holiday themed skins. What’s the point of having the event if only a few people can match the theme. It’s like inviting all your friends to a toga party then randomly letting one person wear a toga.

If you’re not raising the drop rate on the skins then this new recipe was a waste of your time.

Making the drop rate so low on the skins probably just sent a lot of business to gold farmers. Nice job.

Finally a reason to open the 96 chests in my bank and still get nothing.

I got an infraction for saying I wish there were in-game employees that were as diligent as the forum moderators.

How is that worthy of an infraction? The message I got said it was for “questioning the actions of a moderator”.

I guess I have to take back my complement?

I can only assume they want us to use 3 different phantasms during a fight instead of popping 3 warlocks. Not a big deal, only sucks when your warlock gets killed early. Maybe I’ll have a reason to switch between weapons now.

For ranger, that crossfire skill is our short bow autoattack skill.
With Quickening Zephyr (2x fast for skills and actions), we could shoot about 3 arrows within a second. I believe this is the main burst output of rangers.
But after that increase of cast time, Quickening Zephyr seems useless now.
Slow as hell.

You’re referring to the 40 MILLIseconds they added? Lol

My Mesmer is really strong underwater, at least with a trident, my thief…not so much.

Sounds good but I have seen nothing but an increase in gold sellers and botting. What would help is if you tweaked your afk timer detection some.

People generally do things based on risk vs reward and right now dungeons are a money sink.

For soloing, Mesmer.

Put out a tank, dps, condition removal illusions and you’re soloing Champions at 80. Takes 15 minutes but still.

Server Sanctum of Rall

Malcor’s Leap, northwest of King’s Passage. Just a bunch of afk attackers.

So we understood the mechanics of this fight but every time we were all out of range during phase 2 he would reset.

After a couple of hours we were setting up for another attempt and his room filled with Risen. When we went back to repair, we realized the whole dungeon had respawned.

Even with people still alive he would reset during phase 2. I don’t know what’s going on but Anet needs to give more incentive to do these dungeons.
