I only play solo PvE. I am my own Precision/Condition build.
I have taken Plague as my first elite. I love it. I use it in so many ways to save myself numerous times.
I need to choose a second elite skill. (Isn’t 2 choices from elite all I need to unlock the final skills?)
The remaining elite skill choices seem either somewhat useless or confusing in their description.
Could someone lead me to another post on this selection process – that of elite skills – or give me your own point-by-point on the other 4 skills?

I actually like playing solo but I’m wondering if you’re having the same problem I am. Skill Challenges. For me, about a quarter of all Skill Challenges are too over-run with re-spawning mobs that I soon exceed my re-charges and get over-run. As in I can’t get that point unless I wait around for a group to come by.
Do all professions have a percentage of Skill Challenges they can’t solo?
Are there necromancers who – solo – get all Skill Challenges?

I’m asking for some necro-centric guidance on how to use the 4 choices on the red action bar that we get when down, near death. I’ve never read how to use this. Only experimented IG, which is not so great cause I have to be dying to experiment.

What are some of the most basic ways for a necro to use those 4 actions and maybe some unique ways too?
What are the useless and pointless of the 4 choices? (For instance, I never use “summon help” bc I always play solo).

I’m concerned I’m not getting the most out of this aspect of the game.

I’m a solo-playing lvl 30 necro. I’m a hybrid condition/burst of my own making. Have no IRL friends who play. Have to learn everything from the forums or the game. But, that’s part of the fun!

A comment about above – I have been “playing down” especially to the new Living Story, but I quickly discovered that even though I get roughly equal XP, I’m not getting rewards, especially filling local hearts, that provide enough silver for my level.

So – unless I’m missing something – I need to play up against my actual level to get max rewards.

I’m a solo player with one toon reaching lvl 30. I have no IRL friends who play so I’m on my own learning things.
I’ve made myself familiar with all the maps I can find on line. I’m surprized at how few up-to-date maps there are and how few fan sites with maps I can find. (compared to other similar games).
Maybe that’s supposed to be part of the fun.

But I don’t see, with the info I’ve found, too many zones for 30-40 or 30-50 play, especially compared to the other lower and higher levels.

Any feedback on zones to play at 30 – or suggestions for maps? (especially showing where one zone ports to another tho maybe discovering that is part of the fun).

Now, via your statements, I see what must have happened to give me the mistaken idea. I must have leveled while completing a skill challenge – I saw the trait shield on screen but didn’t realize I’d leveled (big battle).

I agree some or all dungeons should be available to solo players.

I always play solo. I am not a great player, but that fact is not so obvious when I’m alone. I approach the challenges I’m presented in my own way.

Were I in a group, I’d be judged “bad” by the “serious” players.

DEVs – please make this change.

Here and there I’ve run across a challenge or situation where I have earned an extra trait point. Is there a list of ways to obtain extra trait points in game? I’ve had no luck with the Wiki.

I’m not sure where to post this so I’m going to start with posting here -

For months now, every time I log into game, there is a window in the upper left of screen offering me to join a Guild. Always same window, same Guild. Needs a click on “decline” to go away but comes back every login.

Can I get rid of this?

I had not thought of the Wiki! So I am the _ here! LOL.

Just joined forums – Is therre a way I can reverse the order of posts shown in a topic? Currently my default is oldest first.

Is there a list – or any other method – of determining what different Karma Merchants sell? (anything but bell peppers!)
Or better yet, which ones sell which world-wide?

First, it is true I’m new to this part of the map, I came to take part in the new content unthreading in this region – Wayfarer Hills and Diessa Plateau – but I get here and find it all 1-15 lvl. Okay I can play down (I’m 25).

But is this the idea? To pick up on the beginnings of the refugees story in these areas?
Or is this whole new story thread for beginners?
Or any other things I should know? I am just now getting into the lore of the game,
