I liked enjoyed the exploring in the new map, the old friends to kill from gw1, but the one downside thing about the beta was the unid’ed items, I disliked wasting time messing with it in 1 and the extra steps added to it in 2 made it turn into work not to mention it’s just a gold sync

Some of us have been on higher tiered servers and moved to lower to avoid server politics or the whole blob v blob, some of even are loyal to the server we are on now and dislike the idea of we actually aren’t really on a server anymore that we chose between the mega server for pve and now this link/merge in w v w.
People keep saying this is great and trying to shout down the ones who have come up with ways to try to keep our server pride or our play style but we have as much right to complain as they do to say otherwise, we paid the same dollar to play this game how we want as they did.

What I would like to know is where mo used the words this part of things is cancelled. no more legendaries oh wait nobody can because what he did say was suspend them (I’ve asked that we indefinitely suspend work on new legendary weapons) also he nowhere says he’s not pulling people from other projects, this whole thing is even starting to give those of us who aren’t very happy with how things are going a headache about poor reading comprehension

from the looks of how they’ve responded to all the topics about this which is they haven’t it was more than likely a on purpose part of the nerf, bad part is it was only because it hit back line glass cannons to hard and they didn’t like it

Ty anet staff for visually dealing with issues that have come up recently, I’m usually one of the ones complaining but between the commander tag issue being dealt with quickly and clearly and a couple of other little things here and there with a red post i had to not complain for once

hopefully this will continue

actually we the players are the wallets behind ncsoft/anet, without us neither of them has money and as much as it pains me vayne has it headed in the right direction this time and so do some of the other posters, we don’t need exact details but some kind of word at all would go a long ways towards shutting some of us up

i like the whole bs about our character created before the patch will be grandfathered in, just checked my lvl 24 necro who i haven’t played in awhile, it’s all locked and have to buy the traits 1 at a time, chock this crap trait system up to belonging with the garbage mega server i guess and learn not to believe anet about things

thats the thing is there isn’t much difference between the clients now with the grind v reward etc

the api for timers doesn’t work anymore so that would include the phone apps

my complaints about this mess are real simple, i will no longer be able to schedule activities my guild may want to do unless it falls into the times that anet feels we should do it, those boss unlocks are just the mega bosses, not the champs or even temples, they fail to remember that our real lives dictate most of ours playing times since we work/married/have kids etc.
they need to consolidate servers, a lot of us know this since we actually paid to go to more populated servers and this is anets answer to doing it without looking like they’ve been a tad over generous with how many people have stopped playing, the problem though is nothing in their system is built to do it this way, thats why they will loose the timers and even way points being able to be reported open or not, so they are gonna have to experiment as they go with it.
they should just close the bottom 3 to 6 servers and merge the populations upward but that kittenes people off, this plan kittenes people off also so they are in a no win situation with any of their choices, they are taking the path they hope kittenes the least amount of people off even if it means the play as you want turns into play as you want on our schedule not yours.
and to those who think you can pick whatever servers map/overflow setup, they haven’t said we get a choice at all, they did say it was automatically done by algorithms on the server based off of homeworld/guild and fl but not any kind of drop down menu or button

this whole thing kind of shows just how out of touch they are with alot of their players, they have no clue we schedule ourselves to play what we want to play in the times that rl gives us.
they’ve totally lost sight of the work people have put into alot of servers to make them a community so that they can hide the fact a few servers needed to be consolidated.
and just to top off everything they build a bigger gold sink into the wp system by making us go to a uncontested wp on a map first to see if the one we really wanted is uncontested.

going to a person in a group of 5 is great but what about those of us who group for guild mission where we have 30 or 40 people trying to get on the same map?

first blush on this whole thing is it’s just their way of doing a server consolidation of the low pop pve servers without saying they are, they are using a bunch of fancy words for it but it still amounts to the same thing, and it makes future consolidations easier since now pve isn’t necessarily tied to a home world

the patch itself is fun so far but this using a gem store item to add a function of the game that was free to something to be paid for isn’t so cool, ask the folks who play aion, if they do it with la and get away with it what makes you think that it will stop there

People do realize there are other cities in the game that have crafting stations and laurel vendors right?

the other cites do have but not all cities had all the amenities la had which anet said they moved to the keep which i guess they did but now want to charge gems for us to use.

We have not removed the central hub. All services have been moved to Vigil’s Keep, due to the attack on Lion’s Arch. You can find everything there.

Where are the crafting stations? No crafting stations at the Keep that I have seen. Oh right, I have to buy a ticket to the airship to use them. Money grubbing at it’s worst. Put the crafting stations in the keep where they belong.

Uh. There are ~free~ crafting stations in every city and even Ebonhawke. [edit: and WvW as others have mentioned.]

there also isn’t mystic forges in each town and the idea of them using gems so that we get it all in one place is a non selling point for my support, which isn’t much i guess in the grand scheme of things, just a few hundred dollars worth a gem sales a year

and a pain to get back to where you were

i’m just amazed at how far ahead fc has gotten this week considering they only work on one extra bl and 2/3 of eb most of the time

the little things anet does get missed so often but the new scyth is great, i saw what it was and said to myself,

Hate that for ya. I don’t G v G, I think its a pretty cool concept though. One thing that bugs me in WvW is people getting upset because your not playing the content the way they want you to play it. My philosophy is have a good time. Be it by Zerging, Roaming, PVDoor, Epic 50+ people fights, or 3v1, and many many more things. Letting someone or some guild make you quit because they play in a style you don’t like, well that’s too bad.

it is a cool concept, do it where its supposed to be done, oops anet doesn’t think gvg is so cool, no place made to do it which totally blows because it was fun in gw1, and as to how folks want to do it is why i don’t bother anymore, they have their choice as do i and it’s better for all involved for me to move on to something or someplace else rather than try to foist my ideas or opinions off on anybody else

i quit w v w thanks to 2 guilds that have made it abundently known on our server small guilds and or / pugs aren’t welcome on thier g v g maps

I was there. after you guys took water and i think it was your uplevel that laughed at us. i took a little nap then i got bored and tired of waiting for the RI to go away so i dove in. everyone else followed me and well it was a fun fight. and of course not many people like to fight our mesmer. i say ange cheats but oh well..lol.. jk ange dont transfer servers and kill me. but anyway the duels were fun. i was the sylvari ele. so anytime you want to duel just hit me up. you guys left before i could ask for a 2 v 1.

lol i’ll duel her if we get rid of the lag, she was a good sport when i said no and i’m sure we’ll all bump into each other again lol so if we do we can have some more fun, i’ll still suck but i’ll try to make you all work for it alittle

Had great time on gom bl earlier today, 3 rangers trying to flip camps muhaaaaa, tuff to do when you dc running to the nearest camp from the wp, one of us finally gave up so got down to 2 of us doing it, gom guys showed up of course and the out come was alot of dieing by me and gremika (me ninnika).
well got to the point of us standing at our legendairies watching them take back the last camp laughing and pointing and stuff and a couple ran up asking for duels so i got brave and jumped down, sorry for refusing to duel the mesmer, as bad as the lag was and as good as she was it was a no go from the start there for me (had already mangled me to death a couple of times lol) so we settled on a couple of ele’s for me, good sports they turned out to be and good duels too even though they downed me, look me up again guys when we aren’t speed warping, dc’ing constantly would like to try that bunker ele again muhaaaa

i love the way the game looks and most of the way it plays but for me it’s a matter of time in game is limited, i work, have other things going and spending the time to run across the maps kind of bites into playing time, so wp’s are more towards a must use for me.
gw 1 map travel and no armor repairs fit with my only being able to be in game a couple of hours a day which made 7 years of fun for me, this game though 1/3rdish of my time now is spent running from point a to point w to help the guild, or get where i need to go for my story and if i use the faster route it all points at my bank account which is a big reason why i stayed clear of wow
