How much actual, straight gold does the guild spend?
Not to buy items, straight gold.
Because the guild itself can’t buy things from the TP, for instance – only characters can. So any gold siphoned into the guild by the game is either not usable for tp, or risks being effectively a mechanically enforced tribute to the leader.
This is true to a point, but then so is donations to the guild bank anyway. What this is suggesting is just an easier way for the Guild to build revenue without really affecting anyone or reminding or bugging people to donate.
And yes, the guild leader, appointed officers, or however your guild has the permissions set up to access the guild in the bank, any of those members will be able to use the gold as seen fit.
For example: Our guild is set up so ONLY the Guild Leader has access to the bank, but then they can use that gold to buy some of the more hard to find items for upgrades (we are maxed already so this no longer applies to us, but would still help the smaller guilds out), help members out that want to transfer servers, help members out in crafting items for them, use the money to buy mats to make more wvw items, etc. So thinking that the gold is just for 1 person’s profit is not always the case. If that’s what you are used to, then maybe you all need to consider changing guilds.
Also to add in, my suggestion that was moved to this thread was to make ONLY the Guild Hall Merchants do this. Any other merchants in game would still sell directly to you and you get your money and everything. Figured make this an upgrade to the current merchants in the hall that the guilds can work towards as well “if” they wanted to do that. Which then you could turn on/off in the guild menu anyway. Thereby not really “forcing” anyone to sell to the merchants & have that money go to the guild if they don’t want to. Just figured it would be an easy way for people to offload items they don’t want & easily transfer it to the guild without much hassle.
Note: You also don’t want just anyone having that amount of access to all the gold donated anyway. Some people even though you’ve played with them for years can stab you in the back & snatch all of that up not only stealing from the guild leader but everyone that helped donate.

- Polymock tournaments
- Guild Bank storage increases
- Armor set slots for hot swapping like weapons (even if it has to be ooc)
- Guild Bank Increase – Having an option to increase the size of the guild banks further would be great. Maybe take more influence or something. We have a lot to share with our members & keeping it organized is a feat with such limited space.
*To add on to guild banks – Why does the stacking not work in the guild banks menu like the personal bank? You need to pull an item into your inventory to stack it then bring it back into the bank.
Just a suggestion, but wouldn’t it be great if the merchants in the GH would deposit the funds to the guild bank for any items sold?
This would help GREATLY to help fund guilds so they can help out their members or even help increase their GH. It’s “usually” a small amount of funds anyway from junk items people are trying to get rid of and would be barely noticeable to the seller.
Maybe make it a another upgrade to the current merchants that the guild can work towards with the guild treasurer.
Bring on the Polymock!!!
Totally second the minis suggestion too
Well this just answered all my questions & I love you for it!! Thank you!!!
I JUST started having this issue today. Using the Logitech MX5500 revolution keyboard/mouse combo. Battery is fully charged. Drivers are all up to date. Using Win 10, 64bit client.
Seems to be happening only after I open the inventory, then the scroll wheel function stops altogether. Close the Logitech setpoint program, then reopen & scrolling function works again, til I open my inventory again.
Yet another Specialization Collection bug
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: RatTailJack.2785
Seems there is yet another bug with the weapon specializtion collections. Already submitted a bug report for these as well, but who knows if anyone reads those or this for that matter. Running all this on my Guardian which is already 100% Tyria before I do anything with my other toons.
1) Map completion – Completing ANY of the new maps in the maguma falls areas does NOT reward you with the Guardian’s Cache, IF you have 100% map completion on that toon.
2) On wings of Gold – Just completed this & got Gold. Received the achievement point, 2 mastery points and some chests, BUT it did not unlock in the collection as having completed it. Ran it again a few more times to be sure. Nope nothing.
3) Mushroom – I haven’t tested this one out myself, but another post mentioned there being an issue with this unlocking on random toons in alphabetical order first rather than the toon you are working on. I’ll see for sure once I get the mushroom later today as this is the only one I have the specializtion collections unlocked at this time.
Throw 4 rare staffs in the forge. Keep doing this until you get it.
Anyone else think that these items should have the limit removed? I don’t about you all, but I’m still getting wayyy too much bloodstone/dragonite/etc to keep up with. It’d be nice if the limit was just lifted so we could just clear out the inventory for good.
Guys, all these specific suggestions should go in the appropriate subforum, most of them in their own threads. The CDI subforum is for developer/player think tank discussion of larger scale projects, and this particular thread is about the methods of contributing to those discussions. If you want your ideas seen you probably don’t want to post them in a highly inactive place that requires no dev attention because there is no active CDI in progress here.
I would create or post a reply in the sub forums below….but those have all been blocked off. This is the only one left open.
Another addition:
-Crafting items – Can you please make slots in the “Material storage” for some of the additional items that are still needed/used for crafting? IE Mystic Clovers, Vision crystals, Doubloons, Augur stones, Foxfire clusters, etc.
There’s really not much point to these items besides crafting anyway. Like the Mystic Coins, these items should have slots as well.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong area as well, so I’ll keep this short.
CDI Suggestions from your fans:
- Polymock tournaments – It would be awesome if you could bring these back, but with a new and completely revamped twist. I see there is a portal (not working) to go to the Polymock arenas in Rata Sum. Are there plans already in place for this? It would also be really neat if people can use all these minis they have been collecting in this fashion.
- Armor sets – As you know many people use certain “builds” for how they play their characters. Now that we have the wardrobe system & outfits are even an option, can the devs figure some way of implementing a side icon or maybe another tab for armor sets? You could have like 1-4 slots available with a gemstore option to purchase more or something. Then players can change the loadout with armor they would like to quickly swap into to match completely different build. This would be especially useful with the upcoming xpac release and the new specializations.
Thanks again for the great game you have created!!
