Why, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Funeral’s singing capabilities far exceed anything i’ve ever heard in my life! It’s so unmistakably unique that even though you might to try to forget it, you won’t be able to! It just sticks with you.

That would be the intended mechanic of the fight. She always stealths at 50% and at that point you’re supposed to get the elementals from the north and south side into the circles around the central pillar. I’m sure you can find a video of how it should be done.

The fight was never broken to begin with. It was only much harder than it is right now, given that they nerfed the amount of HP that she regenerates during the stealth period until you get the elementals in the circles.

P.S. She will keep re-stealthing on timer if you don’t have enough dps to bring her down from the first go after getting the elementals in the circles.

Right, so here’s the deal. You got numerous builds depending on the type of content you’re soloing. I’m assuming you’re talking about general farming in the open world, but i’m gonna treat this question as if you’re wondering how to solo a dungeon.

Now there are always few tweaks to each of the major traits in each of the specs that you can do, depending on the weapons you’re using at the moment, but this should give you the general idea.

I personally used first 3 in soloing various dungeons, and 4th one when i’m doing a full group run with at least 1 shout specced guardian next to me.

But then again, if you are indeed talking about soloing random content in the open world, you can pretty much go with w/e spec you want really and still do well. It doesn’t take any skill whatsoever to explore the currently existing map, and by being a warrior with ton of cleave and burst damage available to you, you should have no issues dealing with multiple mobs and/or veterans.

I finally managed to get a decent video recording software that doesn’t kill my fps completely. I still had a bit of lag ( was running between 25-30 fps ) , but it was playable. So i decided to record Lupi kill, since i wanted to do that for a long time.

I can see how this is solo-able, I managed to solo about 7mins of the first stage when the rest of my team ate a kitten. Might have a go at it too. any tip on the trash?

Line of sight is your closest friend whilst dealing with any trash pack of mobs by yourself. Also when you have a gunner in the pack without many corners to use as LoS, range them and strafe continuously left and right and their auto-attacks will keep missing. I suggest longbow as well due to more AoE damage, when forced to range.

I just wanted to say i had loads of fun doing the last boss. It’s just insane amounts of fun. Love the mechanics and the fact that it wasn’t too easy as well.

Also in my humble opinion i believe that all bosses in the future should be based on transition phases like this fight is, or lupi for example. It makes the fights more fun for players by actually having to do something more than keyboard smashing and zerging the boss to the ground without having to dodge even once.

Anyhow few screenshots from me for the end ‘cause my pc configuration doesn’t allow me to record my solo endeavors sadly.

And for anyone interested in the traits and gear i was running with :

Full berserker gear ( pow/prec/crit damage), including ascended trinkets with runes of the scholar on the armor. Sigil of force on the GS and sigil of fire for rifle.

Traits: 20/30/0/0/20

Alka, there is no WvW guild big enough on RoS to actually match your numbers. And let me be fully clear here ’cause i have no intention of starting another whine fest. When i say “your” numbers i mean only people from NOM.

During prime time GoA and DEX have both around 10-15 people max at the same time. And that’s mostly during reset. Throughout the week it varies from 3-8. And i agree with you that we can’t take you down with pugs. Which is all you’re seeing actually. Completely random made zergs by one of our commanders. And i do believe you know how pugs are like.

Now, offer for some nice duels still stands if you wanna compare skills instead of joining these pointless flame wars here.

In my opinion it’s quite natural that I pick his only argument. Purpose of my reply was to make him realize that it was a poor argument and that it is not really smart to say that zerkers can’t solo 6 Veterans when a zerker has soloed Lupicus.
If we assume Lupicus is harder to solo than 6 Veterans then naturally soloing Lupicus would also mean that a zerker can solo 6 Veterans. If a zerker can’t solo 6 Veterans then it’s harder than Lupicus which means “6 Veterans are tougher than Lupicus”.

The two quotes you used from his post omitted the “i’ve ever used”, which he said immediately following – see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_picking_ . He wasn’t making an argument or a sweeping statement about others. He believes he is sharing the best build he’s ever used.

You do realize that your argument just raises a moot point here, no? Trying to validate his opinion with making few simple arguments on your side isn’t going to work, especially if he didn’t bother to validate it himself. Now if we really wanted to nitpick about everything, he/you or everyone here said we could talk for a long time without reaching a mutual agreement. Why?

He can believe, or you on that matter, that tanky builds do work fairly well in pve. On the other hand wethospu, me, or someone completely different can believe that zerker builds are the way to go. Furthermore ( nitpicking even more ), why not argue about what 6 veterans are we talking about here? I can easily give out examples of groups of veterans that don’t hit really hard in this game. Both in dungeons and open world.

Now going along this lines, we could even go back to the beginning of the game and the describing statements by A-net of how they’re moving away from the holy trinity. With this said, we’re reaching the conclusion that everyone can run the build they want and still solo stuff with enough skill to back that up. The difference would be the amount of time needed and higher risk while running a zerker build.

But simply claiming something is the best, without making an actual proof of doing something with it is simply not good enough.

Also, and this is my personal opinion here as well, people that are using tanky builds are compensating lack of skill with extra survivability. But that’s merely my opinion and nothing more than that.

Anyhow, i think it was obal who suggested to me couple of days ago, a full group Lupi run, with no gear equipped. I thought it was a fun challenge so i went in by myself and tried it out.

Turned out it was pretty brutal during phase 3, had a bit of bad luck with rng as well ( 3 bubbles in a row ^^ ) , so i gave up at the end for now. I might give it a go again in the future by myself, but it’s largely dependent on the rng of p3. But full party with no gear should be able to pull it off with no issues.

29k kicks, 10-12k bubble ticks and 7.5k life drains. Though the biggest issue was frontal cone AoE in p3, since 1-2 ticks took away more than 60% of my hp every time unless the dodge is perfectly timed.

I finished it up with gear on ’cause i had no more patience. Every 2nd wipe my backpiece would be broken and i had to run repairs, which is pretty annoying.

I actually used a different place in the back of the room ( you can see it where my banner is located in the 2nd screenshot ). There’s a little curve in the wall that i used to LoS the boss and the illusions during transitions.

I just wanted to thank all the WSR and AS players for some great fun and duels last night. I really enjoyed every single one of them and i hope you all feel the same way. ^^
It’s always cool to step away from classic WvW routine and compare our skills and builds against fellow players. So thank you for that and i hope we’ll have some more fun in the future as well.

Well to start things off, i genuinely do apologize for not being able to provide a video, but sadly my pc configuration doesn’t allow me to do so. I’ve tried more than few video capturing softwares, but all of them make my fps drop below 25 so eventually i gave up on the idea of recording my solo runs. ( If anyone has a suggestion of a game-capture software that doesn’t mess up fps badly, do let me know, thanks. )

Second to last boss was a pain really. I think i spent more time there than on lupi. They changed the mechanics, so that all the hay boxes disappear at around 50%, so it was bit more annoying than usual. Reflecting it’s unload for 31k damage was lovely though.

Also for anyone that might be interested for the spec, consumables and gear i was using :

Strength: 20 – V / IX
Arms: 25 – V / X
Defense: 10 – V
Tactics: 0
Discipline: 15 – V

Consumables: Omnomberry Ghost / Poweful Potion of Undead Slaying and few other stat boosters for lupi.

Gear: Power / Precision / Critical Damage – Full glassy berserk setup with Lyssa runes. Superior Sigil of Fire ( greatsword ), Superior Sigil of Bloodlust ( Axe ) , Superior Sigil of Energy ( shield ).

P.S. Part of the reason why i’m posting this thread here, is because i still haven’t seen either Wethospu or Strife making a video of Lupicus solo after the nerf, so i thought i’d put it out there to show that it’s still very much doable with warr.

So the issue is following. I’m able to sell items, i’m able to buy items from the gem store. I’m able to preview items on the initial page of the trading post, but i am unable to actually buy anything. Whenever i click on an item, or when i type in search parameters, i get an infinite loading circle. It’s been this way since the patch, and it’s getting really annoying at this point.

It’s like my trading post is stuck for some reason, maybe it has something to do with preview option that’s recently implemented or something. I’d just like to know why am i having this issue. ‘Cause it’s been going on ever since the patch day and relogging or resetting the client doesn’t work.

Fully aware of all mechanics in all aspects of the game, PvE / SPvP / WvW, and with more than sufficient knowledge about all game classes. I want to make sure that the particular chosen guild meets my expectations, and that the transfer price is split 50-50 after my expectations are met.
