Guild Halls request

I agree, as a member and leader of a small guild myself, it would be cool to see much smaller scale guild halls for smaller guilds. My 3-man guild currently has Gilded Hollow, and couldn’t even dream of getting all the upgrades, let alone exploring the whole place. Something more on the scale of the GW1 guild halls would be much more suitable I think for small-mid size guilds.

While I’m hoping it’s Kralkatorrik, because I’m dying to venture into the Crystal Desert again, I think the biggest threat would currently be Jormag. Primordus hasn’t really been seen too much and doesn’t seem like such a major threat at the moment, and Kralkatorrik just hasn’t had the same impact on the world, in my opinion, as Jormag has. And of course Bubbles still remains shrouded in mystery.

Also really excited for when they release the Crystal Desert. I’ve been dying for a good desert map like Stygia in DAoC or the Desert of Ro in Everquest. And it was a fun area in GW1 as well with tons of lore in it.

Which classes can be a solid main?

Revenant is a lot of fun, great DPS, can tank really well and provide great support too. Great jack of all trades class imo. Absolutely destroys in PvP/WvW if played right. Though it’s more of a melee class, although it can also play ranged.

If you prefer ranged a lot more though, I’d go with Elementalist. Never played one myself, but from my experience playing with them, they seem like a good, well-rounded class.

Offline characters as Guild Hall NPCs?

It’d be awesome, but I feel as if on the technical side of things it would cause lots of problems. It’d definitely need to be limited, especially for large guilds with 100+ people.

ETA on gliding in Tyria?

Not until at LEAST the next expansion, if not later. It would require them to rework all the zones in the game without gliding in order to incorporate it, otherwise it would be riddled with bugs and people getting to places they shouldn’t be.

Add gliding to vanilla maps, please!

I think we’d all love to see gliding in core maps, but it won’t happen any time soon purely for technical reasons. Maps would have to be totally revamped to accommodate gliding so as to prevent certain things from becoming too easy, prevent players from getting places they shouldn’t be, etc.

I can see it possibly happening in another expansion eventually though, maybe. Kinda like WoW did with one of their expansions to allow flying mounts in their vanilla zones. There is hope, it’s totally possible, but just not likely until at the very least the next expansion, if not later.

New Character Selection Screen for HoT?

Not sure if there will be a new character selection screen, but I’m really hoping for one. I remember in my first MMO, Dark Age of Camelot, every expansion had a new one. There was nothing more exciting than logging in on the first day an expansion is released and seeing your characters in the new selection screen, getting even more hyped to play all the new content. It’s a really small detail for most people, but I think it makes a big difference, especially on the first day. Makes you all the more excited to play the expansion.

as a guardian ? nothing realy revenant feels like an upgrade in everything lol
Guardian <<<<<< forever ignored by devs.

This. I love my Guardian, but the Revenant just seems like he can do everything a million times better. And has a better version of the speed buff Guardians have been forever begging for.

What class will you play at the release?

Definitely making a Revenant. I’ve almost got enough tomes to level him to 80, and already have a full set of ascended armor and weapons ready for him. Loved the class in the betas, it’s exactly what I’ve wanted from the beginning and in most MMOs I’ve played. The style, concept, gameplay, everything is exactly what I want in a character. Also reminds me a bit of my Disciple of Khaine from Warhammer Online, another class I absolutely loved playing.

Agreed. I appreciate feedback like this, I have a thing for realism when it comes to weapon animations and such in fantasy games, I hate when things look overly exaggerated/impractical.

New armor ideas

Canthan-style armor will probably be reserved for a potential future Cantha expansion. As for more fur/cold weather gear, I could see it in the future/near-future, once we start moving on to Jormag after Mordremoth is done. Remember, each dragon is in a unique environment. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more armor reflect the environment each dragon is in as we get to them.

Personally, I’d like to see more armor in the style of what the Revenants start out with in the betas for my heavy classes. Also, while not quite armor, I’d also like to see more scimitar/katana looking swords, similar to the Ceremonial Sabre skin. More curved swords, less exaggerated overly massive, obviously impractical looking ones plz.
