There are people abusing a bug to glitch into HIlls keep in WvW. I’d say how but then everyone would know so yeah.

People are breaking into hills without taking down any walls nor gates, and then they kill the lord and/or destroy siege.

Doesn’t take a whole lot of effort to deal with commander focusing, but of course it’s easier to simply kitten about it and blame your death to it than actually trying to deal with it. However that’s great. The more noob commanders we have, the more fun commander focusing is, huehuehue.

It becomes a numbers game most skills are made with 5 targets or getting hit with a set number of hits (3 blocks etc..) Its easier to pin snip then to def vs that pin snip because of how the game is balanced. If support is going to be a thing in gw2 full on healing support that they added in HoT then there got to be a healing / support targeting system that works off the same rules of targeted attks.

It’s not about having to resist the damage you take, it’s about not making it easy for the enemy to find you. Random veils, random stealth from thieves, druids or engies, not running a shiny charr, not being 50 meters ahead of your zerg, not letting enemy players inside your squad.. You know, just simple things that help the cmd not being found in half a second.

The skirmish timer on top of the screen hides the rank of the enemy players, which is rather annoying and really dull.

So in WvW, when there’s a somewhat big fight (15v15 at least), more often than not Celestial Avatar won’t last longer than 1-2 seconds. It’s really annoying because, well, it’s supposed to last WAY longer than that, so that’s pretty bad.

And no, I dont press F5 twice and cancel it myself.

So basically I always have my pet on Passive mode, but since the last big patch it keeps attacking my target even tho it’s not supposed to. Everyone knows pets suck in zerg fights which is what I focus on, so I leave it on passive mode so I can just use the F2 buffs, but since that’s broken now, my pet just keeps dying stupidly over and over and again, and I can’t always have an eye on my pet, especially since I’m not supposed to.

So yeah, it’d be nice if you’d fix that soon.

Gameplay advantages… I interpret that as fighting/jumping puzzles/etc, not opening lootbags, playing instruments (as they said), etc… but hey, I guess this will never be cleared enough xD

So I remember reading a dev in this forum saying something like bots are allowed as long as you don’t gain any advantage over your enemies. I understand that opening lootbags, crafting things in the MF, etc, aint gaining an advantage over your enemy, unlike having a bot that automatically casts certain skills on your enemy is.

On the other side, the Rules of Conduct say:

“You may not use any third-party program (such as a “bot”) in order to automate gameplay functions, including playing, chatting, interacting, or gathering gold or items within Guild Wars 2. You may not assist, relay, or store gold or items for other players who are using these processes.”

So… what’s the valid answer? Also, can anyone please link the post to the dev’s post? I’d like to know what he said exactly, but I can’t find it :’(

A good GM is an invisible GM. If they were running around shouting about being there why would people cheat at that time? If they do not announce their presence people will have to hope that they won’t get caught if they cheat.

Yeah of course, I get it, and that’s how they should work. But, again, I don’t see any of these guys getting banned.

I know I can add them into my friends list, and that’s actually what I do. I record them teleporting away while showing that person is the only one blocked and online (removing/adding him again to make it clear that it’s THAT guy).

As someone said, it’s a way to protest. If you dont think something’s ok and at the same time you think it makes sense to think that, why wouldn’t you say so?

So as many of you know, hacking is an issue in this game. Having people jumping over walls, teleporting over the place, etc, aint fun.

Recently, a dev said in these forums that the only thing we can do is call for a GM or report him via mail if he admits he’s hacking.

The thing is… I’ve reported like 10 hackers in WvW already, and I’ve never seen a single GM around (and of course I saw how these guys kept playing). Why? Aren’t them supposed to be there? Isn’t someone supposed to come here and track the guy? Ask us for information? Just… DO SOMETHING at all?

And then, the worst thing is you can’t even report them if you have a pretty obvious video. Like this guy I’m chasing now, he’s just teleporting all over the place, jumping over walls… that’s hacking no matter what, that aint lag, period. But still, if I spend my time recording a video and uploading it, it’ll be ignored.

So yeah, what’s up with the GMs? Where are you? I do feel ignored from Anet in the sense of cheat-fighting. I get it must be hard to catch someone who’s invisible using some kind of 3rd party software and this and that, but.. there’s nothing to debate when someone’s teleporting all over the place.

So, at the moment, there’s a spy from an enemy server at our T3 SM just building infinite rams on the roof, just to drain our supplies because of a problem a commander of us had with their server and bla bla bla (drama). He itself said he was doing that. We have evidence. And he probably will keep doing that at all our keeps and towers.

The thing is: is that bannable? Am I gonna waste my time if I make a video and send it to Anet, or will they actually punish them? Because I’ve been playing GW2 for 2700 hours, and my overall experience with hackers is really sad, in the sense of not seeing them being banned nor anything.

I’d like to have an admin aswering this, please.

So, from what I’ve been told a few times, the matchups in the tournament work this way: 1st vs 1st vs 1st of each group. Then 2nd vs 2nd vs 2nd and 3rd vs 3rd vs 3rd.

If that’s right (it seems to be right)… what’s the sense?

What’s the point in placing the best server in EU against the 4th and 7th server? Where’s the competition there? I don’t think it’d be fair to have a ’Murica vs Andorra fight, honestly.
Is the 9th server supposed to be able to beat the 3rd server? I guess the 9th could have A chance to beat the 6th, but the 3rd? Really?

So, WvW was supposed to be a competitive place, true? Right, so, how do you expect us to compete with such constant lag spikes that we’ve been having for a few weeks already? Right now I’m typing this and I’m actually DCing, no kidding.

And this happens to almost the whole server, not just me. USA, Europe, it doesnt matter. Everyone in WvW suffers this.

So yeah. Fix it. Or just lose more WvW players, of course, that’s up to you.

As you all probably now, you can hit Jerriffer from the green spawn side trough the mountain. I know there’s also the same problem, at least, in Veloka too. The thing is, I can’t stand the commanders abusing that, so I’d like to report them, BUT, I’d like to have an admin telling me if that’s actually intended (I really dont think it is) and how can I report that. Do I have to report it with a Youtube video, for example? Will they actually ban that commander for doing that or should I save the efforts?

EDIT: In places like QL you can also hit the tower’s wall by hitting the ground with a catapult, but they can actually use the siege in the tower to take the cata out. In Jerrifer, for example, you can’t use any siege.

As you can see at ~0:10, a huge bunch of them are next to that corner and, boom, a lot of them get inside inner!

How?

There’s no portal. The gates were closed. There was no one inside. They just… jumped over each other to make a stair? lol
And, of course, that wasn’t a visual glitch or anything like that because you can see my teammates attacking them, and even Loki Frey said “No idea…” to my question of how could they be there.

So yeah, what the hell happened there?

So, let’s say that I’m using the melandru runes (-25% duration), food (-40%) and Purging Flames (-33%). Would that mean all the conditions I get would be reduced by 98%, or there’s actually some caps? I haven’t seen anything on the wiki tho.

So yeah, it’s pretty sad to attack a thief killing your doly and not being able to hit it because YOUR OWN dolyak obstructs the projectiles.

I keep seeing and seeing comments saying that rangers suck at WvW, we have no AoE, we suck, bla bla bla, and I wanted to give my opinion.

We might not have the best AoE out there, but we definately have some great power with Piercing Arrows and a LB.

I’ve read so far and I got disappointed. No new insights, just one more who claims he found key to all our problems.

This isn’t new at all but the most people came to the conclusion that you have to hit something first (EE + RTW) before you can pierce it.

No idea where I claimed I had the fix for the rangers xD

And meh, it’s kinda easy to hit when they’re stacked.

I forgot to say that, personally, I have lots of problems to target enemies when zerging. I just click and click over the enemy zerg but I get no targets, so.. yeah, that really sucks at aiming. Sometimes I even end up aiming with the camera and shooting in front of me instead of actually having a target xD

We might not have the best AoE out there, but we definately have some great power with Piercing Arrows and a LB. It works incredibly good when the enemy is stacked, which happens usually when buffing, regrouping and attacking with the train.
Just imagine: each arrow can hit up to 5 enemies. All our LB skills use arrows. We shoot 10 arrows with #2, that’s a max of 50 targets in 4 seconds. #5 can hit up to 60 times with a nice AoE cripple.

And the best thing is we can do that from safety with that 1500 range! I usually look for high spots where I’m prolly gonna get ignored and just pewpew from there. It is kittening awesome.

Trust me, if you see the enemy zerg stacking up in a pixel, go ahead and unleash all your arrows on them, you’ll get like 3045345345 tags with decent damage, apply conds to them (#2 vuln, #5 cripple..) and will put most of them in combat. Add a Sigil of Fire and profit xD

And the best of all that is that we dont have to wait 30s CDs in order to do this. Our #1 will work too, so we can just spam that AoE nonstop.

So yeah, we’re not the most useful characters out there but we can deal some really nice damage without being noticed by the zerg or almost anyone.

I have a couple of videos about this so just ask for them if interested.

It’s kinda simple: I get teleported like 1m away in a random direction after getting a kill in WvW. It might seem something stupid but it’s really annoying when you fall into the enemy zerg or get stuck inside a wall because of it.

In the first video we’re like 3-4 people taking a camp. There’s no lag, no zergs, no nothing.
In the second video we’re a lot more, but still, this happens with 1 or 500000 players in the server.

It is REAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY annoying. Just look how many times did I have to get up there in the second video. I even was really lucky for not getting stuck in that wall (happens a lot)! Specially as a ranger who keeps trying to find spots where the zerg wont care about me.

So, we were playing in Gandara and we had RQ at max tier, but no one came to get supplies, so 4 of us started making… hm… a few golems :P

Hmm… I’m a bit lost in what gear should I get. Dire kinda attracts me because it’s kinda tanky, but, will I have enough damage only with Cond Damage? I guess so because this is a Cond Damage build (xD), but… I dont know; just asking. Would Carrion be a good choice? Seems more damage oriented, but again, I dont know if I can just pass without the Power.
