I agree, well, until I hit 80.
Basically 1-80 was the best leveling experience of any MMO I’ve ever played.
Though post 80.. Won’t talk about that, can always make an alt and do it again.
Wish this could be implemented.
Not really a need to make a glossary, can go to somewhere like this.
IMO the only thing that needs changing is PvE.
I’m fine with the PvP and WvW.
But after I’ve hit 80, I’ve actually dropped my activity tenfold. I just see no fun in logging on anymore. I mean I PvP occasionally and will go WvW with my guild, but I personally like PvE in games and Anet’s idea of “end-game starting at level 1” has really made me want to have never gotten 80.
You can’t really progress purely from your main quest. It will surpass your level greatly, if you don’t want to grind per say you may want to try crafting or WvW for xp.
I got my first 80 and was bored about 2 hours later.
Even Runescape has more to do endgame.
And that’s Runescape lol
This game does have a fantastic community, I’ve noticed.
It’s definitely worth re-gearing as you hit 80, even if it’s with a set of rare/Mwork armor/weapons.
You can easily get a set of 80 gear on the TP for about 1-2 gold. Prioritize weapons though as the difference between even a 70 and 80 bow is very big.
The Holy Trinity isn’t necessarily needed, I do agree with you saying that the dungeons are not fun and end-game events are not challenging and frankly no fun.
This is awkward, I’ve got a leader in my guild whose now hacked, scared that the hacker may kick everyone in the guild.
Anyone else finding that they give me things I’d rather not have?
Every chest I’ve ever opened (be it a reward chest for killing a boss, a jumping chest, a map chest etc) has given me no more than 1 masterwork and maybe a few blues.
Is it possible to get better rewards?
Ok, thanks guys.
Wait ‘till level 80, you’ll find out there’s nothing to do for fun end-game.
Hey, I’ve been 80 for a while now, and sadly I’m actually finding it hard to stay on guild wars for anything other than PvP and WvW. It may be because none of my friends are 80 yet, but I personally love PvE, and Guild Wars 2 just doesn’t seem to cut it for PvE.
So I was wondering what do you guys do for fun/loot/gear/gold after 80?
Yeah well for me as I said, I still can’t trust officers with the power haha.
You never know.
You can buy exotic gear in the 70-80 areas off karma vendors available after killing a temple boss, these pieces of gear have runes attatched accordingly to the boss.
E.g. Dwayna boss drops a Karma vendor selling items with Superior Runes of Dwayna attached.
You can also make superior runes by forging together 4 major runes.
Just a quick question here.
Is it actually possible to get exotics from loot? Such as mobs in 80 areas or dungeons/chests?
From what I’ve seen you can only get them from crafting/forge/map clearing, which is a bit silly.
I’m sure you can, but do you need 100% mf or something?
So basically, I love the guild system and everything about it. I’m currently a leader of a very successful guild of over 300 members. Everything is fine and good, there is just one thing that would be so much more convenient.
*Add “Invite players” option as a rank privilege.
At the moment I’m scared to promote any members to higher ranks due to the only option available being “Admin lower ranks”.
Personally I don’t want my officers being able to kick everyone from my guild, and I don’t want them able to promote people either.
It would be so much better if this was a privilege for a rank, as I could give this power to officers without them having the power to kick, demote, premote etc.
Dungeons in Gw2 are horrible, I did the 30-60 dungeons each once and vowed never to do another, I’d rather cut myself.
I see where you’re coming from.
But NO PLEASE, It’s great that it’s server-wide, the demand and supply is much more and therefore the whole thing is soo much better.
Never gotten exotics from loot, only forging.
I really hope they can be gotten from Mob drops though, PvE isn’t the best for endgame anyway, without the chance of looting such items, well.
