I’m the leader of a medium sized guild in Stormbluff and I may or may not decide to leave it, depending on how the next few weeks turn out. The amount of time and stress I go through running it is getting to me, and I find myself more and more attracted to the simple life of being a member and just enjoying this game..something I haven’t been able to do since launch.

I spend on average about 3 to 4 hours in-game a day. I believe I recently broke 1000 hrs on my account so that should give you an idea. My 3 mains are my warrior, thief, and ranger, all 80 and fully exo. I run dungeons, fractals, meta-events, orr/ssc farming, WvW, PvP, guild missions..basically everything haha.

What I am looking for is not a big guild that is like a bed & breakfast and everyone comes and goes, nor a small one that is struggling to grow. Somewhere in between would be perfect. Not all hardcore, but not all social and no gains either. To put it ideally, a guild that can handle a T1 bounty no problem, but looks up to a T3 like a challenge in the future. Would prefer a guild that is organized and has a website, and voice chat. I’m in Eastern timezone (Ontario) and would obviously love to find a guild with others near here, but if not, its okay, as long as the guild is active from like 7pm to 2am my time..roughly of course. I’m also looking for a guild that runs periodic organized events. Could be fun, could be game related, like guild missions, wvw ventures, maybe even pvp days, whatever. While I am done leading and spending so much time on admin features of gw2 and enjin, I would eventually like to transition into an officer role, given my experience with it. Ooh ooh..also the guild has to be social and fun! Can’t be all business or that will drive me crazy lol.

What you get with me:
- 26 Year old Canadian guy who has been gaming for over a decade and strives to be great in all games
- Potential for some of my guildies to follow me, girlfriend for sure, others likely
- Someone who is well versed in all aspects of game and can either follow or lead/teach as needed
- A joker (within limits) who can take a joke and dish back at ya too
- A guild leader/officer with plenty of experience with what makes a guild click and what doesn’t, who can provide new ideas to the table, etc.
- Basically a loyal/diligent member who will most likely become one of the most active, social and helpful people in the guild and help strengthen it

You’d be surprised what a personal touch can do to someone…aaannnd mind out of the gutter people ;p. I’d prefer knowing that you don’t just Ctrl-F “LFG” and Ctrl-V and Reply.

Voting is always nice but you can’t put big decisions at the hands of all members. Nothing will ever get done that way. Best to put these powers in the hands of a capable few and trust them until they prove they can’t handle it

After some time on hiatus and reorganizing our roster, Aeons of Vengeance is now recruiting again, and we think you’ll find something you’re looking for. AoV currently consists of a small (30+ members), yet close-knit group of people that enjoy having fun, enjoy talking to one another and work well in group settings. We are not a high-end super leet guild, but we are slowly solidifying our forces! We all have our own lives outside of the game, but want to have a blast while in it, so joining us will not feel like you’ve just signed up for the North Korean army. There is almost never a shortage of people to team up with or just socialize with if you’ve had a boring day/week. You may have also seen us in WvW as we like to venture in it and keep SBI competitive.

We have our own website, with voice chat (mumble), the uses of which range from organized team speak for collaborative play, to moaning contests. Okay, that last bit was a joke but don’t tempt anyone in there. Seriously. We consider each other friends, and would like to add more bulk to our body. Much like those Abominations in Warcraft with the corpses and the…rot..and the awfulness, but in a much friendlier and charming way of course.

Requirements:
Over 18. Our guild chat gets a little raunchy and more of us are between the ages of 21 and 35.
Active player. Will represent the guild, be active in guildchat, guild activities and on our forums.
Laid back and social players. We’d love to keep arguments to a minimum and fun sexy times to a maximum.

Not via in-game features, no. I’m not sure if tech support is able to help out with something like this, maybe someone else on here can back me up here? I believe with the help of your other guildies you can accomplish this through support? Educated guess

I could write an essay but I feel like all that needs to be said is your guild is your members. If your members are quiet, keep-to-yourself kind of guys, then so is your guild. Spend more time recruiting, and really pick out the kind of people you want. That’s what I did. You have to get lucky too, and find those special social butterfly kind of guys that will also play the game for real. They’re harder to find than one may think. Once you find a few, the guild will grow exponentially. I run one that is 29 members. It’s 29 by choice, as recruiting is now closed to weed out exactly those people that you mentioned. Out of our members, about half of them are online nightly and yapping away on guild chat/forums/mumble. I am very happy with that but I also got lucky in finding some awesome people.

Do not throw applications around because then your guild just becomes a stepping stone. Do not go up to someone and be like..hey this person plays GW2! Time to invite. They will have zero dedication to you, your guild and your goals. Spend time with them, play with them and get to know them to make sure they’re the kind of players you want. It takes a lot of dedication and time. I literally spent hours with each member when my guild was brand new. It took me dozens of hours of not leveling but just socializing but in the end it was worth every second.

Could be your recruitment style or effort? I don’t mean to sound offensive or anything but I’ve grown my guild to 30 members in 2 weeks with those similar methods. Mind you I do have 5 irl friends in it, but I started with just one of them at the beginning. Keep trying man it can be done!

I don’t ask for exclusivity, but I wrestle with players that take advantage of guild vault and any other perks that we have (including crafted gear from other guild members) and then play in another guild with said gear.

As a leader of a small guild I very much agree with this. I and many others ask for exclusivity (although I don’t strictly enforce it) because without it we have no certainty of loyalty and trust and if people just use the guild whenever it benefits them and jump ship when it’s convenient, then ultimately I don’t want those people in my guild in the long run. It’s as simple as that. There’s plenty of guilds to chose from that will be more lenient on this. If a guild makes you want to switch tags, then it must mean that guild is not for you. Keep looking until you find that group of people that make you want to never jump ship

I think the root of this idea was guild alliances and groups of friends in separate guilds that want to play the game together , not for players to have options at their disposal and play guild roulette each day.

Aeons of Vengeance is nearing the end cycle of recruiting stage 2! Yeah don’t I sound all businesslike and serious haha? What I really mean is that we are nearing the 20 active members mark at which point I will pause recruiting to strengthen bonds and ensure the people we have are in for the long run. The guild is based in Stormbluff EST time zone, with leadership mostly in Ontario, Canada (myself and the other 2 co-leaders). We usually play daily, and most active members have an evening to after midnight span of activity.

We are a relatively new guild (about 2 weeks old) and grew quite rapidly. We have Architecture lvls 1&2, Politics lvls 1&2, Economy 1, and Guild Stash and Workshop. Our main focus for now is PvE but we are willing to expand to any aspect of the game given interest and man power. I have yet to hear from a recruit that didn’t love the guild as soon as they joined since everyone in it is friendly, playful, laid back and willing to help and party up for anything you might wanna do, and most importantly we are active. There’s nothing worse than joining a big guild of 100 people to find 10 not representing, 20 always offline, 30 never talkative, and 20 that just don’t like what you’re doing…etc.

Preferably I’d also like to recruit people that will eventually rise to be a higher rank in the guild as I believe the ratio is currently leaning a bit heavier on members rather than leaders. I don’t have strict rules and policies like so many others. Whenever guild recruiters do that it just sounds so forced and uptight and that’s definitely not what AoV is all about. We are here to have fun with this amazing game and I am here to try and get more people to enjoy it with us We ARE getting team speak but we don’t have a website yet. The only rule I have is that all members must represent 24/7. I don’t want people who just use the guild when they see fit.

I’m mostly looking for mature players who integrate well with the guild members, have mmo experience and are quite active when the guild is. Basically if you rank 8 or lower on the scale below:

This is a pretty fresh guild (less than 2 weeks) with just over 10 members but acquiring a few more soon and with finally spending some resources recruiting. We are mostly casual players who enjoy helping each other and others in pve but once we have a decent base of good players we’re looking forward to do pvp and other such activities.
