Anyway, you missed the part where I said some of us build so that you cannot escape. The only time people get away from me is if they have 3 vs me alone, or if they are standing within 1200 range of a tower and they are running all condi cleanse (like a guardian). I am built specifically to prevent this.

So given this information, IRON running guy, you have two choices:
1) die with your back to me, never even trying to attack (this one is pretty much a guarantee)
or
2) fight me, have a chance of killing me and escaping

I never said it was supposed to be your priority. It’s just really silly when you want to get back to a PPT objective, but we kill you and gain PPT for our server, and you didn’t even try to stop us. We still get PPT for stomps after all, its much lower than it was (sadly), but the free kills we get really add up… and those kills really shouldn’t be free.

A lot of the time, we end up camping a spawn just so people like that will fight us (because they have a group).

Its a matter of opinion but i really think you overestimate its importance but each to their own.

A roamer complains about you guys running when you don’t even try to put up a fight. A lot of the time, you have no chance of escaping, some of us build to make sure that doesn’t happen. I don’t normally post, but in the past 7 days I’ve seen some incredibly dirty things being played that ruins the whole spirit of who is a “better server”.

In the week prior to this so-called Season 1, JQ beat BG by a definite margin, to the point of embarrassment.

This week, I saw daily 2v1 fights against our server. Double our numbers in a 24/hr clogged-up situation where our real fighting guilds could not get in or change locations because of the achievement process that Anet decided to introduce for this Season.

We fought with mostly PVE militia eager to get their achievement points.

Once you open the floodgates of PVE into the realm of PVP, you break the true PVP champions of each server from doing what they do best.

I know Anet is trying to please everyone. Sure, I got my Veteran of the Mist title and my key in the first week endlessly focusing not on my server objectives but my own. And I’ve been playing WvW since day one of GW2 launch.

Something is really screwed with this ‘Season’ concept. I pity those true PVP folks like ATM and GE and MERC who give their life for this game with brilliant fighting coordinate for server glory, only to be cut at their knees by the flood of PVE newbies clogging up their vital resource lines.

BG and SOR, u may have won this round. But you deserve zero respect for what you did to us. Phui.

You see when anyone posts anything like this it just looks…..well, silly frankly. We as individuals may not agree or participate in this stuff but it happens – on every server. I stood in Bay this afternoon watching a BG thief and mesmer hacker taking seige out from under the ground. All servers have had 2v1’s this week. I don’t like it and don’t join in but calling the “why us” card just doesn’t wash.

Im not complaining – I just thought it was funny. Each server had a blob and outnumbered us hugely and they still needed both of them to take it……../shrug.

My source informed me that Iron has more like between 300 and 400 members unless you gave your tag to anyone.
Isn’t it a childish lie? Everyone can make his own point of view. Hoping Iron members are trustworthy. They says they are good. Are they really? They should be able to find out if they are just answering a few questions. Are they a WvW guild working for their server weekly match ppt and win : they stated they are ranking fights over ppt and they also stated not caring of WvW but more of GvG… Are they somehow high ranked in GvG ? Do their members are high ranked in spvp? Are they able to complete fotm 40+?Are they dodging? I can’t answer these questions (or thread deleted XD) but I have my opinion. They use TS and have a nice tag and they always says thet they never wipe.
How great is really Iron (with the equivalent of the half of Monaco states amount population as members)?
Much respect to any of you who are worth it (so few :p), less consideration for others.

Iron do not have 200+ members, gotta love where you pull these numbers from.
We run with 30-40 people, with that falling back to around 25 after 10.30 BST.

And HB give good fights, thats why they get our attention. Its just a shame its so hard to get them to fight, and when they do its always with a blob I dont mind the numbers.. its that dam lag!

Thanks for taking a screenshot of the entire Blackgate EU force with less than 20 HB present. Really shows how well BG can work with lesser numbers and still be effective against the huge zergs IRON and KISS put out for SoR.

A couple of nights ago we tried to get JQ to 2v1 SoR with us in EBG. It actually seemed to be happening a couple of times but every time we took Jerrifers then went to bang on the Keep, the JQ commander hit Durios, 3 different times. Anyhoo, my point is, 2v1s are going to happen, but not all the time, and they tend to be isolated to certain time zones on certain maps and on certain days depending on many factors. As others said earlier, BG dealt with a 2v1 every single night in EBG a couple of weeks ago. The TSYM commanders love to initiate it on EBG when they smell weakness, and many on JQ love to kill BG (SF and SG in particular – still, much love guys), so there it is.

Cry all you want but the fact remains that we’re all going to get 2v1’d at certain times, and it’s best to just try to deal with it as best you can and wait for it to pass. This goes for my team as well.

Yes the top tier will get 2v1 – that isnt the issue.

Getting 2v1 coordinated across maps at the same timeis.

Taking advantage of an opponents weakness is fair game and I think that’s good tactics.

Lets not fuk about – everyone who has played any WvW this week has seen with their own eyes whats happened. Its not crying, its a fact.

Up to you guys what you do – but dont cry about been recognised for what JQ have done by being BG’s kittenes.

Ive been on oceanic while you co-ordinated your attacks. Not just hitting targets to divert us but often the same target at the same time e.g our EB keep this week. I’m speaking only of what I’ve witnessed first hand.

You can agree or disagree on the causes of the current situation in T1 EU. Who started blobbing, skill lag, all night capping etc etc blah blah.

The reality is its boring as hell at the moment.

People have left and more will follow for that very reason.

Its not about whether servers can’t win. Its about a game (yes a GAME) being pointless to play.

PVD and arrow carts? People wont stay, its that simple.

Basically, if your’e on a time zone server there should be less points available between 12am and 12pm (give or take, I wouldn’t object to that being 8am but its kinda moot).

Seriously, WvW shouldn’t be decided by who can get players to come from other time zones (Viz have promised us this isn’t so so it cant be true, eh?) or people who don’t have jobs. education or families in vast numbers (that’s the only logical reason if people from other time zones aren’t making up the numbers throughout the night to such a degree – I dont think this is true but thats just me).

You’re welcome to move servers but you shouldn’t be able to make a huge difference to that server’s WvW when people play regular hours…..its not difficult.

Dont mind Deso dropping down either tbh.

Zergs and skill lag do not equal fun – people will only put up with it for so long then either quit or move servers. Some guilds on both Deso and SFR have moved already and I can understand why.

I have been reading these forums but don’t normally post. However, last night really made me dispirited about WvW. The skill lag made playing impossible…..zerg comes your way and there’s nothing you can do. Tactics don’t mean a thing if you can’t use any abilities. I was in the middle of a group in the heart of the zerg and could use autoattack…that’s it.

In the current game zergs are fact and are going to happen but if you cant use any abilities when they come your way what’s the point?

Well, best thing to do would be to check a lower pop server, at the current state of affairs, it’s starting to look tempting to get away from the people here contributing to the zergs only because they came here hoping to get carried along with it.

@RobF: We are currently on a (very) large scale TS server. I personally am in contact with a hoster who may be providing us with a (pretty much) unlimited slot TS3 server (unlimited as in as much as we will possibly need). This will take some more discussion and thus time, but we are working on it. We are currently asking people to join our ts whenever we are in WvW providing the details in mapchat. But again, working on a free4all TS, it’s gonna take some more time though.

Fantastic – really need to get that info out there in chat – I didn’t know lol That could just me being dense but I hadn’t seen that announced. I’ll be sure to join in when you guys are up and running again

This may not be possible given whats happend but I do think there needs to be a focal point for WvW and IRON can give the lead. It would be great if you guys made a TS/Mumble etc channel available but I fully understand if you cant or wont.

The funny thing is I would team up with Vs now – how to destroy your reputation in one easy lesson…..and don’t think others won’t notice this. You can talk meta gaming all you want – most ppl who love gaming will turn up their noses at this.

Had so much fun today running WvW – some really great battles. The way we defended Stonemist Castle was epic. You know if you were there lol.
