i like roaming with 2 friends of mine (ele and thief) but sometimes i pug close to commanders (use locust instead of suffering) =)

i use staff with bloodlust sigil instead of axe for wvw, switching the focus as off-hand of the dagger

the point is: do some single target/aoe damage while having protection+retaliation for most of the time
=)

Warrior builds that pretend to be dps but i have to deal with my not optimal ability to dodge/avoid attacks… XD

Here it is… 2 version of the same build type… the second maybe has more dps, but surely less “tanky”

(don’t say me “run 30/25/…” or “full berserker” cause i tried… and i spent way more time downed then on my feet… so… maybe it could be more dps… but your dps is 0 when you are dead… so… it simply doesn’t belong to me =)

i play the game, and i see that my targets are perma weakened, wells provide combo field.. true (all the same combo field really, but true) but… wells are near CC and i tend to stay a little far (i should take ground targetting, but this means that i have to drop something else), and… they scale with power… and i don’t have to say nothing more… XD
let the eles for the combo field.. they do it better and with more variety

why this should be better than mine? (i change the trinkets into the exotic version cause i don’t have them ascended and it will take a very long time to gain them, but i put ascended weapons cause i already have them)

it has a 105% bleed duration (5% lost), 40% cond duration instead of 70% (for all other cond), 200 less cond damage, 460 less power (not that i need it but…), 3% less crit chance (not so much indeed), 1,5k more life (first, and last, thing better), it hasn’t dhuumfire (and its burst of damage)

all of this for what? 20% reduction on well skills… and you have none… XD (hope that was a missclick), life transfer? really? it doesn’t even heal myself… and a really helpfull +20% crit damage… XD

edit: you don’t have dhuumfire, you don’t use sigil of earth… ..why you have so much crit chance?

don’t know if dropping dhuumfire or close to death for 20 points in the blood trait line would be an improvement…
any way… changing whitering for lingering bring me to 143 bleed duration for scepter, 110 for all other bleeding and 90 for all other cond
in your build u have 133 for scep, 100 for the other bleeding and only 50 for the other cond
i’m not convinced… =)

why replace a signet for epidemic and not BiP? both signets give a lot of cond, and the plague also works as cleanser for me, and for the group (if i’m in a group)

didn’t know withering was broken, i’ll change it with no doubt

chill of death as a possible alternative for reapers might? i was just thinking about it

i chose to splash 2 rampager and 2 dire into a most of all rabid gears cause i love “full numbers”… (50% crit chance, 20k life) with a full rabid i loose 1k life for about 22 cond damage more… quite unsignificant imo… but i will give it a try

what don’t you like about the runes, what you suggest?

(i don’t like/am not able to use fear and all the related combos… so wondering if it’s better dhuumfire or close to death)

(i usually switch BiP for Epidemic, depending on situations)

plague signet is for an additional cleanser… is intended to be used every time it’s avaible (of course as long as i have cond to cleanse)

and 0 point in spite cause i already have quite nothing in power, so it won’t do any difference some power more, and i accurately avoid any + cond duration cause i figured out that the cond duration affect ONLY the duration or at least not proportionally with the damage, so for the no-damage condi it could be nice, but when we come to bleeding… + condi duration means less bleeding damage per second… and considering that bleeding is the core of my build, from it come about 90% of my damage potential, AND, apart from PvE, in WvW condi cleanser, especially in zergs, are common like the clouds in the sky i don’t see the improvements in adding condi duration

hi all, this is my build.
i used to run a power build but i felt i was doing about the half of the damage of any other class at best, sooo i decided to change it to a condition based build (everyone says that necro is the condition’s king so i would give him a try)
well… i’m not satisfied yet… i always thought that condition are a step before power/crit, for many reason: cond does not do the “final hit” to kill someone (i mean: if an enemy goes down to about 1k life, with a power/crit build it will require only one single hit to kill him, while with a cond build it will survive for about other 2 sec, leaving him the time to heal, remove cond etc..), cond scale with level, way more then power, so if i’m not in a level 80 map i will do a really unsignificant damage and sometime i find hard to survive even in low level map (20-40) or, at least, i took way more time to roll and farm them.
not to mention that a cond build is totally useless in group events where the champ/ lord will permanently have 25 stack of bleed on him.
for the dungeons… it will work only if there will only be one cond build in the party, even with just 2 cond build they will loose effectiveness due to the 25 stack cap, and… there still remain the level-based damage problem of a cond build.

in conclusion i feel unrealized with both power and cond build for the necro… starting to think that is not a build problem… it’s a PROFESSION problem… necro are way weaker then most of the others professions, regardless of the build… i feel very sad… =(

someone of you can suggest me a different build, both cond or power or even hybrid, that you USE and feel comfortable with (survivability, damage, support)

Hi, this is my build.

I start with staff until i reach 25 bloodlust stack
then i swap to axe/focus and use blood is power whenever it is ready, removing condition either with the healing skill either entering in death shroud.

using blood is power, auto-attack while in death shroud, and quickly swapping axe to staff and then again to axe will give me perma 20/25 might stacks.

with 20/25 might stacks i use reaper’s touch and some auto-attacks with axe to reach at least 10/15 vulnerability stacks and then i use ghastly claws for huge amount of damage
