I agree the KD spam from these periscopes is incredibly annoying when you are trying to complete other events in the area, especially for lower level chars and chars without any range abilities.
Often the KD spam is so frequent a warrior or close quarter thief (or even a D/D ele) unable to close enough to actually get a strike on one before being killed by the turrets damage, let alone the surrounding mobs that continue to pummel the char while they’re down.
The turret by itself can kill my level 34 ele that’s side kicked down in a 12th level zone in only 3 hits, and by the time I’m back on my feet and inflict a single hit, I’m KD’d a second later.
My suggestion would be to add a second attack to the turret, that while damaging doesn’t cause KD, and reduce the KD spam to once per 30 seconds or so, or better yet, remove the KD part of the attack entirely and add cripple or interrupt instead?
Moving the turrets to more isolated areas is an option, but they’re still extremely over powered with every attack causing KD so no matter the location, making them more frustrating, then challenging/fun to fight.
An Rp server would be a fun start too, but more then that a toggle ‘RP" tag players can put next to their name tag that indicates they are currently rping. (which would save on a lot of confusion when speaking to a stranger and not knowing if they’re response is in char or OCC and make it easier to find fellow role players.)
Extremely handy and would make life much easier, also it would handy to have a separate “notes” area where you could click on people int he guild (or friends list) and add a paragraph or two of personal notes to that name tag (that only you can see of course.)
This would make it much easier to see who in a guild you should go to for crafting etc. and which friend on the list is the one that want to run a particular dungeon with you without having to ask each one individually. (also handy so you can have notes on just why person x is on your block/ignore list for future reference)
WoW has a color blind mode option to make it easier for gamers, so implementing something similar here should be relatively simple, and make it more accessible to a wider player base.
So far I’ve never seen a point to town clothes given I’m only in town long enough to vendor, craft, and visit the bank/TP.
Adding a +25% to movement speed in towns would be neat, but also perhaps be able to have enhanced interaction options with NPC’s in the towns when wearing town clothes.
Having more variety then just a single dress look for each race would also be nice (without having to pay gems for them anyway.)
Really though given how little time I currently spend in a town doing anything, I would much rather see them fix current bugs and issues before trying to add yet more fluff to the game. (Or enhance other areas that would be more useful, such as storage for crafting components/parts in a sub section of the bank.)
With more skills I’d also like to see the ability to rearrange the skills on my skill bar, being able to customize the position of the skills in my tool bar would make it much more convenient, especially if each weapon gets more skills.
Something I’ve noticed that’s missing from GW2 that was in many other mmo’s I’ve enjoyed, is a separate officer chat channel to allow officers and the guild master to discuss guild related things without having to all be int eh same party together or what not. (Which can be inconvenient at best and impossible if you happen to be a larger guild with a dozen officers)
A simple /O officer channel would simplify life greatly, and make it easier for people to manage guilds. (yes there’s vent/TS chat rooms, but not every guild uses chat programs, and for those that do, it can be much easier to have a discussion in chat then listen to a half dozen people all trying to speak at once over voice.)
Yes, components or parts, whatever they’re called, being able to store them in the resource area of the bank would be extremely helpful, especially if you need a lot of them on hand to help craft armor for guild mates and such.
Nice idea, being able to buy other races town clothes from said vendor would be a fun plus as well.
I currently use my 1c orders as a watchlist.
Can you please be more specific on how 1c orders work as a “watch list?”
(I’m relatively new to the game so not familiar with this trick)
Just a thought that it would be nice to be able to store the unfinsihed crafting materials int he bank along side the raw crafting materials.
Currently while leveling up armor smithing I’m finding myself with tons of liners and other such crafting stuff clogging up my inventory and lack enough of the primary materials to use them up (and the bank is full of actual gear for my various toons)
Being able to store liners etc.. down next to raw ore and what not would be a real convenience for those leveling crafting.
Currently the “kick member from guild” button is right above “send mail to member” and it’s very easy for a guild master or officer to mis-click and accidentally kick someone from guild. (and not realize it until hours later)
A simple solution would be a yes/no pop up window that asks “are you sure you wish to remove X from the guild?”
It’s more then cosmetic when there are hundreds of some items for sale at less then the vendor trash price, since it prevents anyone from selling said items on the TP making the value of those items permanently tanked at vendor sale prices.
While out questing on a character I’ve often come across a tameable pet, resource location, or missed vista I want to later find again, and being able to send a mail to myself with a quick note of where it is would be extremely handy.
Being able to mail stuff to yourself would also allow you to store a mail with extra harvesting material, higher level gear or whatever at hand without sacrificing inventory space when you plan to be out in the field for a long time.
Also, when someone in a guild send you a mail with a useful bit of crafting or questing info, being able to save a copy to your bags/bank would be extremely helpful given the 10 limit space doesn’t allow you leave item-less correspondence in your mailbox.
(Yes one can alt tab to take notes, but it’s a pain in the butt and one more thing to keep track of outside of game and remember to take with you if you game from more then one location.)
Perhaps a better solution would be to lift the 10 mail limit on player sent mails as long as they do not contain attachments?
I also would find it helpful to be able to take a single item from a piece of mail without having to yank the entire stack of mailed goods into my bags.
A final suggestion would be to lift the flood control on mails sent between people who are mutually on each others friends lists. (I play with my significant other, and we are regularly sharing crafting mats, items, etc.. between our chars, and the flood limit quickly proves to be a nuisance when we both sit down to craft or sort loot.)
I’ve had chars with blue and other color panties before, (and seen wierdos running around questing naked with all manner of varied color undergarments.) I do believe the color is based off one of your main or town clothes dye choices. dye choices.
Really though, unless you spend a lot of time nude or peeking up peoples skirts does the color of your/their panties really matter? :P
I’m relatively new to GW2 (about 2 weeks into it) and been watching the March sales with interest, but have yet to find anything extremely “must have” to a new player like myself. (town clothes and other stuff is kinda nice, but us new players are usually more interested in more char slots and other items that aren’t cosmetic of limited in use.)
So I’m curious if anyone knows if these kind of “service” goods will also be for sale at some point this month or if it’s all the other junk that’s going to be on sale? (I’ve been waiting to buy a few more char slots in the hopes of a sale, and getting tired of using my 5th slot as a “reroll” slot just so I can try out all the char classes.)
Agreed, anytime I go to place a lot of lower level items for sale I notice tons of 1c orders and even more placed a few coppers below vendor trash sale prices.
A clean up would be much appreciated.
