so anyone have an Asura Ele? just made one, tried using d/d fire attack, you do a lil spin when standing still. but when i attack while moving, my waist UP does the spin, very weird

Don’t think any of us are holding are breath Illconceived, they are hard at work on an mmo that has done more changes in the past year, then some do in their lifetimes! Game is amazing as it is, but people will always have ideas

While i did think of this idea because i wanted Norn armor on my Sylvari, I kinda don’t care if that happens anymore! The idea in general sounds fun and something that could continue our personal story, and give us a small amount of new story content while we wait for bigger expansions.

But how lvl up your characters? Option maybe i just don’t see the fun in it

“Characters” implies they are all different and not just avatars of yourself. Call them avatars or the popular term “toon”

Heck I cant even count how many legendaries i see everyday. They are just another weapon to me now, same with commander tags, there are hundreds of “commanders” but only a small few that deserve it

Well legendary weapons and some exotics i dont think should be dyed but the rares, cultural, dungeon, those skins

While more weapons is always a good idea, would rather have them just put back in design weapon contests or let us dye most weapons. Making legendaries tied into lore is good, but cant be completely focused around the human gods.

Update: after some in game chatting, main complaint was it would take away one of the few things that make races unique. Was a good point, couldn’t come up with any argument.

Would take away the feeling of having separate characters, would make you feel like your in a computer program instead of a fantasy world. RP community would be in an uproar.

Aye, just have to find someone willing to take you through the other races stories.

I was thinking more of just a small story where you can be come familiar with another race and learn. Scarlet story is some of the inspiration for this, since she was an apprentice of a Norn, and a student of the Asuran colleges.

Don’t think sylvari armor grows from them (could be wrong) tier 3 might look like that.

Now just to wait and see if this idea gets popular

I’m in love with that sword, don’t even have a legendary, and not even a fan of blue. But amazing sword man!

Well he is the #1 most knowledgeable person on Orr, so I would like him to be at least near the top of command. You are not the leader for 3 reasons.
1-the orders did not want anyone from another order to be leader
2-cause generals irl don’t fight anyway so don’t complain that you are the one killing everybody.
3-why would you be leader? your just some random guy that has been a member of an order for a few days.
By the end of it you become a member of Destinies Edge and our story will continue from there.

Don’t really like the sound of dyes giving of particle effects, sounds like to much on screen and would be kinda hectic.
More armor like the achievement armor, and being able to dye those would be okay. (maybe a particle effect for Sylvari that looks like pollen coming off us)

I love the Norn’s cultural armor, but I’m not a fan of playing as one. So I was thinking what if I could make my Sylvari be accepted into the Norn’s culture?

Idea is to have a small personal quest line at lvl 80 (2-3 quests) where you can help another races hero (Logan, Rytlock, Eir). Do something such as join in the great hunt, accompany a charr warband into Ascalon, study at an Asuran college, stuff along those lines. I mean i just killed Zhaitan with them would be nice if they invited me to hang out

This could give our characters another layer of depth, another choice, another part of our legend! Of course each character would only be allowed to choose ONE other culture to learn about and become an “honorary member” of. Being given access to having a specialty built suit of the races cultural armor be made available for your character.

Just an idea, don’t know how other players would feel about something like this. I feel like it would give our characters a greater amount of personal story. I know it would be work creating both the quests and models for the other races. Just throwing the idea out here, maybe someone at Anet will see this and see it as a noteworthy idea!
