The reason I said this was because it says Artificer on the Dusk recipe. Either it’s misleading to say that because it’s not true, or it’s true and not working.

Saving up for the new legendaries that I might like Bifrosts costed a bit more, but Twilight (my most recent made one) I had made for only ~1400g and sold for 3100g or 3300g or whatever the price was a week ago. So it was pretty good margin considering everything involved.

I’d recommend doing it, but you have to understand all the time involved, the karma you need, and the other time-gated materials you need (dungeon tokens, etc.). Good luck!

Nope, I worked very hard to save up money. Then after I made the first one, it got the ball rolling so I could just keep purchasing the precursors

Hi there! I was going through the jumping puzzle, and I guess the timer ran out? It showed the score-sheet (or whatever you call it) but as I was so close to the end of the JP, I frantically finished it and jumped through the giant present (yay!). It teleported me back to Divinities Reach though :1 I dunno if this is a bug or not but I figured I’d let y’all know!

I love all of the pictures you’ve all came up with Sadly the pictures I’ve taken are all at the lowest settings cause I didn’t know about the “turn it to high settings just for a picture” trick.. So I can’t really contribute anything more than what you all have.. But I appreciate all those who contributed their awesome pics!

First off, I’m excited to say that I love the new personal story rewards I’m getting! I’m reaching out to many people to get a collective data set on the “Bags of Loot” and “XX’s Bag of Crafting Materials”. Unfortunately I had played through my story of one of my alts without collecting the data kicks myself but I can give a rough estimate of what the bags gave me. I currently have another alt going through the 40+ personal story missions and I will surely be saving this data haha x) So for anyone who cares (despite being from just my memory) I’ll just say what I got from ~60 Bags of Loot and ~5 Master Bags of Crafting Materials. Keep in mind this is an incredibly low sample size too.

From ~60 Bags of Loot:
~15 Orichalcum Tools (various)
~10-12 T6 Crafting Materials (various)
~2 Unidentified Dyes
~Loads of Masterwork items (green weapons / armor)

From ~5 Master Bags of Crafting Materials:
~10 Lodestones (various)
~50-75 Orichalcum Ore
~30 Gossamer Scraps
~30 Gossamer Bolts
~50-75 Ancient Wood Log

Once again keep in mind the incredibly low sample size and non-specificity of my memory lol.

From my own experience so far, I’ve gotta say I love the new reward system for the Personal Story Missions They really did make doing the Personal Story line more worthwhile than before!

I am currently going through with another alt right now through the same 40+ Personal Story Missions so I will be getting more steadfast data soon! Any help with this data set will be fully appreciated! Thanks for your patience

Congrats @pdavis I can’t imagine the feeling of that happening! It’s so uplifting hearing a story like that, but it also makes me wish it would happen to me too haha. Only problem is that The Legend is 500g more expensive.. looks at Zommy if only x)

I guess I forgot to mention if you could say where/when you took the pictures that would be lovely haha x) That would probably be too much work for the people who already posted pictures but from now on, if you can, say where you were!

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for the general appreciation of the under-admired beauty of Guild Wars 2. Whether it be landscapes, details in armor, or animations, post what really grabs your attention in-game, as well as things that you think not that many people have stopped to see.

I’ll go ahead and start it off by showing the night sky in Northern Lornar’s Pass! I thought the sky was just so beautiful and couldn’t stop looking at it for a good 5 minutes. I love seeing all the stars twinkle as you rotate the camera through the nice purplish hue My Elementalist was having a nice stretch in the picture haha x)

The game’s music, of course. Never understood people not doing that, especially when videos get uploaded with trash metal or screamo in the background…

The music was made to fit the game, the music is a part of the game like the graphics and mechanics – experience it at its fullest.

GW2’s soundtrack is wonderful, but many of us have been playing this game for a very long time now and have heard the game’s music over and over. We know how it goes. We’ve heard it for hundreds of hours.
If I’m doing a story chapter or something important, I will go with the game’s soundtrack. But if I’m just doing some random farming, PvP, leveling an alt, or whatever, I tend to put on my own music or a podcast for a nice change. I mean, I have my own music I want to listen to anyway — but I also want to play some GW2 — what is wrong with doing both?

For the sake of argument, the game’s music is important to the experience but it is not as crucial as graphics or mechanics. You can play the game without music. You can’t play it without graphics or mechanics.

I’m with you on those gameplay videos people upload, though. They always have the worst music ever. If it’s an imaginative or clever choice for what they’re portraying, then it can make the video better — but more often than not it’s just “This is my favourite song right now, and I think everybody should have to listen to it. I’m going to play it real loud, even if it drowns out my voice.”

I couldn’t agree more. I do love the original soundtrack, but I have heard it over and over again so I like to mix it up For new areas like Dry Top however where there’s a whole new soundtrack, I 100% listen to that instead of my own music.

As the title says, I wanna hear (huehue) what you all have to say with what kinda music you listen to while playing GW2 (if any). If you wanna list genre, band, when you like to listen to it, even favorite song to listen to, whatever you want! Just curious as to people’s preferences I’ll kick it off!

When: Really goes well with exploring places (like if you’re getting map completion).

And through some odd combination of events Blaize and Big Nose Ted started to fight each other. Tried farming a couple more keys and replicate said events and it happened a couple more times. I kinda wanted to post this just to show the ridiculousness of what happened haha, and to see if this has happened to anybody else!

Hi again RoyalPredator! So I have a female human warrior that I would like some reworking I was trying for a while to come up with what I like personally so I guess here’s some (not so steadfast) criteria that I thought of. So what I mean is that if it’s not possible to do one of these criteria, I’m not so picky. I just have no vision for armor fashion haha. Also, they aren’t in order of importance, they’re all just separate ideas:
1. I would like to have a “well-dressed” feel. Kinda like wearing a suit and tie somewhere, you obviously look well-dressed and people notice.
2. If possible, I want to retain the shape of my characters body. I don’t mean skimpy, I just don’t want armor that’s terribly boxy and chunky and then you can’t see the shape of your character.
3. I do like having things with particle effects, so if it’s possible to match something to a back-piece with that, awesome!
3. As far as coloring goes, I do like having high-contrast colors. An example is my other char who has celestial with dark green linings.

Why do you need a legendary?

If I were to answer that question I would say that I absolutely love the skin. I’m working towards The Bifrost and I have yet to see a better looking staff (in my opinion, don’t hate). That’s why I would want a legendary, because I love the look of it.

Edit: I am working towards buying the precursor though. My way of working towards it is having the endpoint 1600g (or whatever it is), and telling myself to get so and so amount of gold per week. So I’m trying haha

How does volatility/stability get manipulated (from your end) through updates such as the Living Story, which itself incurs volatility on certain items through player demand? Or do you let this type of volatility change just run its course to stabilize on its own?

I did it with my Ele (solo) and it was fairly simple, although any blocks and invuln skills don’t work here (i.e. Arcane Shield and Mist Form). I used staff so I had more healing ability. You really just have to time your heals accordingly to the ticks of damage.

For Staff Ele:
Wait 5 ticks: use #3 and #5 heal
Wait 5 more ticks: use #6 heal
Wait 5 more ticks: done!

Seems like it would be a simple addition to the game to me! Providing the devs are willing to make it happen (which might be improbable due to not that many people having this problem).

They could just make it so the guild leader is the only one who can change the name though, right?

With this shift towards account-based magic find, and getting completely get rid of magic find that has been added to armor and weapons, it seems a bit unfair to certain people. There are some people (like myself) who have spent quite a bit of money to buy magic find stat items, so it seems as if the money spent on that will essentially disappear… Any thoughts?

Whatever OP’s main argument was, whether non-permanent items are ruining the economy, or that he wants them back.. It doesn’t make any sense.

1. If NON-PERMANENT items were to be brought back, they wouldn’t be as special, as stated before.
2. If those non-permanent items WERE to be brought back and sold for the same price, why didn’t you just buy it before if you want it?
3. Exactly how are these items ruining the economy when this is what naturally happens. An item enters the market during a limited window, people wait until the window closes, and profit $$ because there’s limited amounts of them. This doesn’t ruin the economy whatsoever. If it is in demand, people will buy it for whatever cost.

Although I do agree that the rates of the crystalline dust is way too low, your solution to this problem defeats the purpose of it being a T6 mat… From what you’re saying, REPLACING the drop rate of silk and leather (which is a huge percentage) with crystalline dust, will only cause dust to significantly drop in price and create the same problem (with TP price ending up becoming cheaper than vendor price). So your plan would defeat the purpose of the rarity of T6 mats.

A more effective strategy that would raise the price of silk and leather, as well as keep the idea of a T6 mat being rare, would be to decrease the drop rate of silk/leather and replace it not to dust, but possibly just silver.

For the sigil though, I feel like the nullification thing is kinda pointless… I would much rather have sigil of force or something that would help me 100% of the time, rather than 60% of the time ON the off chance of getting a critical hit.. So multiply those percentages and well.. I’d rather have something else haha..

So first off this isn’t a complaint about Legendary Weapons… I have a couple legitimate questions.

I’ve been trying to work my way to creating my first legendary weapon, The Bifrost!

My main question comes from the “Gift of Bifrost” component. I’m sure this applies to other Legendaries as well, but for the sigil, do you have to use the one that is in the recipes on GW2Wiki and places like that? For the Bifrost it says I have to use a Superior Sigil of Nullification, but can that be replaced for any sigil?

A second question comes from the Gift of Fortune component. For the Mystic Clovers, what are your recommendations for acquiring those? Should I use the recipe to make only one at a time, or use the one to make ten (once I get to that stage)?
