Warrior Savage Leap

Although it doesn’t work too well in WvW, you can target something off in the distance and leap towards it. Although if you have auto-target it does need to be a neutral/hostile target.

Don’t get me wrong, Longbow could have its place. It is just that it seems more restricted by being in the Tactics line. If you’re going for a support/control-oriented warrior to begin with it isn’t a bad choice. But for the “mad deeps” it doesn’t quite have the ability to compare, especially with bleeds stacking in intensity.

The problem with the Longbow seems to be more that you need to trait into it before it begins to get on par with the untraited Rifle to begin with. The extra 300 range is immense and the rifle’s relative lack of travel time between shot and impact makes it much easier to control.

When the Longbow gets traited (Both traits, mind you) it gets to equal the rifle in range and has a conditional damage buff (requires burning). Compare to the traited Rifle (only one trait) which gets reduced cooldowns (allows the 4 → 3 combo seemlessly) AND all of the attacks become piercing shots, overcoming the rifle’s weakness of single-target damage by providing it aoe.

Overall, it just seems easier and more rewarding to choose the rifle. It seems like the only reason to use longbow at all lies in access to the burning condition and the warrior’s one combo field.

Does "nearby allies" include you?

Okay. Also in reading the banners that drop it appears that they affect “you and all nearby allies” which could’ve been condensed to “all nearby allies” if that were the case. Mmm… Looks like I’ll possibly be investing in new sigils.

Thanks for the assistance!

Various skills affect “nearby allies,” the main one I’m looking at is the effect from the water sigils (which heal nearby allies).

While these skills affect nearby allies do they affect the person that used them as well? Or do they strictly not include yourself?

During BWE1 they did reveal the map for you. If I remember correctly during BWE3 it was changed to the current state is in.

This is the case.

@Duel
I doubt this feature will be added “soon” but may be possible in the future. I base this on the lack of duel features in the original GW, which they drew heavily on when making this game. Although I’ll admit it would be nice to settle the age old “my abc could beat your xyz” arguments.

@Direct Trade
I doubt this feature will be added at all. The trading post takes care of “business” end of trading by providing a structured trading environment while the “casual” end of trading can be done via mail (since it is assumed that both casual traders have some sort of mutual relationship). Direct trading would be important if either of those did not exist (such as during the game’s release).

@Dungeon Finders
A basic Find Party feature exists, albeit rarely used. A more refined version of it that details what the party is looking to do (tasks, farming, instance, etc.) would be nice. Although anything more than that would likely lead into matchmade groups, which I’d rather not have.

@Dungeon Teleporting
All you have to do to teleport to an instance is be in the same zone. As soon as one person enters everyone else can follow. With most instances having a waypoint right outside this seems unnecessary.
