That is just literally insane that a company is producing a product and providing incentive for customers to pay money for that product.

I mean, we are all entitled to full access to someone else’s livelihood without paying for it. I have this argument every time I need to fly somewhere and I call a taxi. Since my wife normally drives me to the airport, why should I need to pay for the taxi?

It’s complete elitism and infringes my freedom and needs to stop.

Kicked before dungeon started?

Thanks for all the replies and the awesome song

This was not a kitten post complaining about me being kicked, it was curiosity about why I was wearing 95% of the ‘correct’ zerk warrior gear and was kicked anyway, and a question on the proper way of ‘pinging’ gear.

Things I did wrong:

- CTRL clicked only my breastplate, greatsword and axe into party chat, instead of shift clicking every single piece into one chat line. Didn’t link any accessories, so wasn’t me with the MF gems … my accessories all had exquisite ruby jewels in them (made them myself).

- 5% damage sigils on GS and Axe and bloodlust on offhand mace. Now replaced with sigils of the night and smothering.

- Scholar runes in my armor. I don’t dispute that these are good, but I’m not used to the dungeon enough to stay above 90% enough. I 100% salvaged that armor, sold the scholar runes and bought a new set of armor with ruby orbs.

I’ve run it a bunch of times now with speed running groups and all accepted groups, including one that was me and 4 necros. Everything went smooth regardless, with maybe a 5 minute difference in length between the two extremes.

Now let’s have some more Queen songs

If you ping one or two pieces, get ready to be insta-kicked.

That must be it then. I didn’t realize it has become that silly that every single piece of gear must be linked.

Though I only linked 3 items of gear, my warr is fully exotic berserker including accessories, with 6x runes of the scholar on the armor, superior runes of force (5% dmg) in the the gs and axe, and bloodlust in the the offhand mace. Was going to switch out the bloodlust to a dungeon specific one once I had the tokens.

Any tips on avoiding these type of elitists who will snap to kick so quickly? Every time I ask in LA, I get referred to gw2lfg. Every listing on gw2lfg is $$$ and ‘pro only’.

I’m a bit baffled tonight. I came back to the game last month after being away since November. My main was an 80 warrior, and I also have an 80 engi and 80 ele. I’ve run countless dungeons with the warrior and engi in everything from clerics to berserker gear. I have no problems in dungeons, especially after shaking off the cobwebs upon returning to this game after 9 months other more simple games.

Currently the warrior is kitted in full exotic zerker gear with runes of the scholar, exotic weps and the standard 30/25/0/0/15 build. My intent was to try some CoF P1 farms tonight to rebuild my gold supply, since everything is so expensive now.

I joined a random group with a coherent description and no $$$’s in the title. The first thing said upon joining was banner check, then ping gear.

Maybe I’m right out to lunch on this, but my assumption on ‘pinging gear’ was to ctrl click a few pieces of gear into group chat to prove you’re not undergeared or in healing or mf stuff. I linked my bp, greatsword and axe. Two people lol’d, and then a loading screen as I was kicked from the group.

Can someone explain to me what the heck happened?

Trait "creates an attack or spell" cooldown

I didn’t really touch on how amazing this trait is with elixir gun in dungeons. If you have a few people shooting projectiles, you (and your groupmates) are negating all conditions on your party by keeping the field up permanently.

Every projectile finisher that shoots through a light field will remove a condition from allies within splash range of the target. The field also removes 1 condition from each player within its area of effect when it’s placed on the ground. The range finisher does not benefit you if you aren’t close to the target, so stay near melee range if you want the full effect. Your melee group members will love you for keeping this light field up on condition heavy fights.

The persistent healing is also nice but isn’t going to be the difference between wipes or success.

Here is the setup I use for nostromo and logitech G500.

I had trouble stretching to reach the top row for normal skill use, so I combined everything into the middle row with mouse modifiers.

If you’re using this for the free elixir gun #5 (super elixir), you can time it by using duration of the field. Switch to elixir gun for the field at your location (move over to your melees if you’re playing range), then immediately switch back to your weapon or main kit. Once the field fades, switch back and use the actual skill. You can do this in a split second, especially if you have fast cast ground targeting enabled. Once that field fades, switch back to elixir gun to reapply the trait field. You can keep it up permanently that way.

be sure to write the right name next time dude.

Be sure to read the OP next time dude.

I am sure i sent to the right guy, because we were in a party, i right clicked his name and hit send mail.

Sometimes when you use the right click send mail option, whether from group or guild window, you’ll get some other random character in the To: field. It looks like it’s clicking through the mail UI and picking up a character near you. I’ve had it happen a few times while sending a mail near the LA bank.

It seems to be a bit more reliable to type the character name in manually.

Have you found yourself dying with no money on your character? In that case, the fee to use the nearest waypoint is withdrawn from your bank.
