I’m in GH but I support WSR too. WSR is underrated. If you want to tier down a bit avoiding the bandwagon choose WSR hands down. Definitely a server worth a transfer.

T9 cause 10 people gvg for 2 hours? Come on.

Why refuse a GvG? WvW is not a job, it’s about fun. If you think a GvG could be fun, forget the score and jump on it.
If usually you are outnumbered, you have one more reason to do a GvG. You’ll have a fight on equal numbers for once. No complains about numbers and ACs, just pure and simple fight.

They accusing always happens, in other matchup it is about Nightcapping or someother stuff. Some People just need to complain and also it is always way easier to blame others instead of looking at yourself

Matchup is fine for me so far. Got some nice fights so far, best Guild i encountered was Thian [TH]. Also a variety of good players from Gunnar and Ruins.

I still want to get the Rematch with the VcY Necro, i’m having the late shift this week though but maybe you read this (i was the Asura Necro with whispers Armor) ^^.

For everybody saying WvW is about Points/Masses/Siege Fights screw your small scale do tpvp! etc Well we like doing small scale and we are enjoying it very much, never mind what was intended for WvW. Doing small scale is what makes the game fun for us and thats that.

I’m the leader of Thian [TH], so thank you^^. Yeah this matchup is fun, especially if you stay away from the large armies. I must admit this tier is a lot more competitive than T8. Too bad our population will make us move up to T6 quite soon, I could have used more weeks of training in T7. I’ll be forced to increase the size of the roaming team too…

If Anet thinks this would solve things they should make transfering free for some time i think, atleast for our servers.

I agree with you, but switching server isn’t THAT impossible. Around 10 golds to switch to a medium server isn’t so much. Believe me, if you are serious about wvw, this is the best way to spend 10 golds.

PS: And I don’t know about your group, but I can ensure you that playing wvw in an organized guild/group is 100 times the fun.

We do alot of organised WvW too, and it is very fun, hence the fact I still do WvW. I know it isn’t that much, but the simple idea of us needing to pay for something you experience as normal just isn’t right. Besides i have alot of server love, everyone has for their server i think (or atleast hope) That combined with the fact i don’t want to build an entirely new friend and guild base on a new server tells me that for most of us, merging vabbi, FoW and maybe even WSR would be the (imho) best solution.

You need to pay “something” to play properly. When running dungeons you need to pay for an exotic equipment, or you can run it with a rare equipment and have a less enjoyable experience. Transfer is an investment. You pay a bit to have a better wvw experience. And don’t forget that there are wvw guilds that can refund your transfer bill (I refund from 50% to 100% when players from other servers contact me, and they are serious enough). About guild and friends: GUEST. New server and guild for wvw, old guild and friends for pve (with guesting). No problem at all. Love for your server? Ok, but it’s not worth to waste your game experience for it.

jordiboy without riot and vcy you guys would never have stod a chance here(this is based of the fact that DZ is allready pulling 40k leads on the other two servers and we are about the same as them in fighting strength) not saying that the other guilds in RoS dont do anything but without Riot and Vcy you guys would have been dominated in this tier so much

You forget 1 month ago Surmia almost ranked up without any help (only 2k points less than RoF). Ofc now with RIOT and VcY we are a lot stronger. And don’t forget with have FRS too now. Saying there are no other guilds in Surmia is a bit harsh. Next week RoF will be in T8 probably against WSR and Arborstone. Both of them improved a lot. Let’s see if you “dominate” like last time.

Maybe it’s a bit too early, but I think this matchup is over. These 3 weeks were a lot of fun. Arborstone zerg in the first weekend without culling almost scared me! I only regret noone accepted my challenge for some GvG.

Pls allow me to give you some advices, from my Surmian point of view.

WSR. I think you did really good during this matchup. Seriously, I think you played this matchup better than us. You lack numbers, this is the truth. But you focus on defense, and this is the right way of playing wvw. You don’t need advices, and I think you won’t have regrets at the end of this matchup. Keep up the good job!

Arborstone. Moving from T9 to T8 had an hard impact on you. During the first week you were total noobs. Now you’ve grown a bit, but you still have a lot of work to do. But you need to change your mentality about zerging. You have impressive numbers on your server. Split your kitten zerg! I managed to cap your keeps several times with 10 players while you were attacking on the other side of the map with a 70 men zerg. Come on! Learn to cover the map…

ps: I’m sorry for Arb dropping on T9 again but, that’s just wvw…

Had some good fights yesterday evening in Arborstone border. Lots of zerging ofc, but I noticed some guilds are trying to act on their own now, staying away from the zerg. A guild tried to flank us in a camp. They failed but it’s a good start. After that their zerg stomped us but, who cares? Hopefully next week someone will pm me about this:

We are still here, the most unfriendly wvw focused guild in Ruins of Surmia. Roaming every evening in primetime and in the afternoon during weekends. Now we are looking for a couple of Elementalists (staff) cause… pushing zergs requires a bit of healing sometimes. NO CAREBEARS of course!

As title says, I’m trying to arrange some GuildvsGuild against our “enemies” from Arborstone and Whiteside Ridge. Every serious wvw player knows that this matchup has become a zerg vs zerg. My guild (Thian [TH]) can easily stomp groups under 15 players, but we’re forced to run when we meet the enemy zerg. Roaming an entire evening to only fight a decent battle is far away from being fun. Probably some guild in Arborstone and WSR feel the same. Fights will be from 5vs5 to 10vs10 (or more, depending on guild size), and they will take place in a part of the map where they don’t disturb the normal wvwers. Game type will be team deathmatch but (and this is the original part) I have some ideas for others game type. I won’t explain them right now, I wanna be the first one to post a video^^. This should be everything. My guild plays every evening (GMT +1), so if you are interested just contact me on Santus.3702. Good wvw!

After the patch this matchup has become a zerg vs zerg fight. And it’s boring.

So… Is there any guild from Arborstone or Whiteside interested in some fights Guild vs Guild? From 5 vs 5 to 10 vs 10.

I’m tired of stomping groups of 10 players and get stomped by groups of 50. Let’s setup some battles with equal numbers.

7 vs WSR zerg

Same thing for your enemies: if 1 of them dies, your companions rally. Simply assign a member of your group to stomping downed enemies. Or focus 1 downed with the entire group. If you can’t stomp you need a better balance in your group. Stop considering downed players as dead players. They are immobilized players with half life, but they are far away from being dead.

Yeah I remember you. You were a good commander, especially in EB. (Not so) unfortunately ROS bandwagon project failed, but I think many guilds left too soon.

Thx for invite but we aren’t going to move from Ruins of Surmia. This is the server where I started. And I like its name! Ruins of Surmia sounds way better than Gunnar’s Hold! Too bad Elona Reach is DE, it was my favourite location in gw1^^.

No queues for wvw. No 30+ zergs, no blobs. A real good server for medium/small guilds to play wvw with 5-15 players in organized teams.

There are 2 kind of players in our guild: team members and casual wvwers. Team members are part of our roaming team, wvwers only join us when we play a more relaxed wvw.

We are recruiting both casual and hardcore wvw players. Regarding our team, we are especially looking for 1-2 good mesmers (glamour) and elementalists. We are not interested in useless pve scrubs. They usually get kicked after 2 days.

We have a forum where we develop our builds and team synergies. We use Mumble for voice communication.

Up. WvW patch is coming, join a serious wvw focused guild before it’s too late. Don’t become part of the zerg, play wvw, play it good.

Don’t waste your gold transferring to high/very high population servers. It costs from 20 to 40 gold…
There are good guilds in Ruins of Surmia, you just need some directions. First of all, what kind of gameplay do you like more? If you are mainly a pver there are both medium and big guilds with good organization, ts3, daily events and so on. If you want to focus on wvw there are 3-4 wvw focused guilds, like my guild, that can help you for sure. If you are looking for a guild that plays all contents, there are plenty of them (but I suggest you a focused guild, I don’t like multi purpose). Best idea for low tiers wvw focused guilds is to start talking with guilds from other low tiers/medium population and decide a common medium server, transfer there and play wvw as it is meant to be played. Let pvers play pve on their high population low tier server.
