As usual, it’s WAY overtuned compared to other fractals. At 25, it makes 99 Nightmare look like a joke. The balls you have to hit into the corner pillars get stuck WAAAAY too easily and have far too low of a range to trigger. The ability that you’re supposed to use to jump out of fear/into the bubble/act as a third evasion/etc. is a real clusterkitten if you play with action camera like I do. There are too many mechanics in general and I can’t imagine doing it successfully at 100. This is supposed to be a FRACTAL, not a RAID. People are expected to be able to do this DAILY not WEEKLY. Why does he have more mechanics than some of the easier RAID BOSSES?
It’s REALLY annoying. It’s pretty much the only thing that DOESN’T autoloot.
Same here.
Right above the portraits is access to the ‘party menu’ — click on that, click “leave party”. It’s the same number of clicks to drop. (Works the same for squads, except for the change in text.)
You can also just type out the “/leave party” command.

On Christmas day (before reset that day) the rotation include Snowblind which I thot was pretty cool. Wouldn’t be surprised even if it was purely coincidental tbh
That’s all I know
The dailies repeat every two weeks.

Look back to January 1, 2016. What day of the week was it? Friday. And January 1, 2017 saw, for some unholy reason, the Week A Friday dailies. It looks like the dailies are not, in fact, arranged by the day of the week, but by the actual day of the year. I have no idea how ArenaNet managed to do this, but it’s effing hilarious. I doubt they’ll fix it unless they do another overhaul of the daily sets. Not that it matters anyways.
Having the same problem on Kaineng for the last three days. Ping jumps to 2k or 3k every 30 seconds or so. Packet loss at 14%. I had my ISP do a ping test on their end while it was happening, they showed no problems.
Yeah, this is a real fun issue to have in the middle of fractals. Way to go, ArenaNet.
Anet won’t respond, they want their game to die
Which is ironic for this class.
badum tish thank you, thank you. my next show will be in la.
Which server’s Lion’s Arch?
I’m seeing a lot of rationalizing of the jaggie nerf, but everyone’s forgetting one huge fact. ArenaNet provided NO explanation for the nerf. In fact, they said necbros were in a good place content-wide and they were just buffing power builds a bit to make those builds viable. Then they nerfed jaggies to kitten. It’s fine to nerf jaggies to kitten, if they provided ANY amount of reason or logic for it. They instead provided reasoning for why it SHOULDN’T have been nerfed and did it anyways. It didn’t make power builds more viable, it made rerolling more viable.
THAT SAID, I too am on board with some kind of other buffs instead of just making jaggies viable again. Personally, I would very much like it if they made a viable tanking spec for necbros that can be competitive with chronbros (maybe something that focuses on minions and healing). I know it’ll never happen because ArenaNet has arbitrarily decided that chronos should be the only ones tanking ever, but it would at least be an interesting change to make the class viable.
Well new dps numbers are out for raids… necros have fallen to 20k… behind every class except mesmer, even lower than PS warrior.
Don’t worry because “We feel that necromancers have been faring quite well gamewide, providing play and counterplay in many spots over the last few months.” And, as we all know, facts don’t matter, but how people FEEL matters. And they FEEL that necros are fine.
Reap in pieces necbros. It was fun while it lasted.
That seems to be the kitten theme in this stupid game concerning necs.
I have to agree. It’s quite impressive that they managed to say that necros were in a good place and they liked where we are, and then proceeded to nerf the only viable spec completely into the ground. I’m hearing in-game now that flesh golem is actually better than lich form because of the uptime. Jaggies would have to last at least around 60 seconds or else lich form would have to have a much lower cooldown (90 seconds tops I would guess) to bring back viability.
Reap in pieces necbros. It was fun while it lasted.
Yep, same here.
I lost a fossilized ambrite centipede (the ingredient for ambrite sword). If I could get a new one, that would be great.
Why teamspeak when we can discord?
A girlfriend, so if someone could reimburse me, that would be great.
Character progress made during the affected time period is being rolled back. If you had an extreme situation, for example you got a precursor from the mystic forge and then had that rolled back, contact our customer support team and we’ll try to help you.
This is awesome. I didn’t get a precursor, but I’m sure the people that lost ones will be relieved.
Oh god. I spent a huge chunk of time this morning farming buried locked chests to get rid of my zephyrite keys. Now I’m going to have to do it all over again, AND I lost a fossilized insect too.
Hey, I love action camera, but it’s kinda hidden, what with it being in keybindings. It requires me to be more attentive while playing, yet also made me play more efficiently. If I didn’t already know the game was very much NOT built around it, I would almost suggest it be the default camera mode. That said, I think it would be a good idea to make it more visible for players that don’t know about it.
1.) First and foremost, assign a key that toggles action camera by default. I suggest Z, but I don’t remember if that key actually does anything since I messed with the default keybindings a long time ago.
2.) Put an “Action Camera enabled by default” option in the camera settings under general options. This would do exactly what it says – when you log in, action camera is enabled. Its much larger purpose, however, is to increase visibility of this option.
3.) Under this new setting, there should be some “recommended” settings as well. For example, things like auto-targeting, snap ground target to current target, lock ground target at maximum skill range would be recommended to be enabled when this “Action Camera enabled by default” option is checked, but can be changed. This would allow players to have different settings between action and traditional camera, if they desire.
4.) And on that same note, there should be separate keybindings for action camera vs traditional. Q and E are redundant when action camera is enabled, but useful when using the traditional camera. Changing some skills to QERT ONLY while action camera is enabled would be EXTREMELY useful.
5.) There should be a setting for pressing left-click to auto-attack. Right now, you have to press 1 to make your character auto-attack, it would be useful if I could just left-click once after I’ve targeted an enemy.
6.) Fix tab targeting. This game has the worst tab targeting of any game I’ve ever played. It seems completely random. I’ve probably complained about this four hundred times, and I’ll keep complaining about it until it gets fixed.

This isn’t so much a bug as it is an oversight. I just discovered action camera a week or so ago, despite playing HoT since launch (it’s awesome, I love it by the way), but when you try to enter the fractal portal or change the fractal level settings, the game doesn’t pop your mouse out so you can choose a fractal level. On a somewhat related note, I’ve also noticed that when I exit the game, it doesn’t remember that I had action camera enabled. Dunno if that can be fixed because the mouse pops out for the escape menu anyways, but it would be nice not to have to toggle every time I log in or choose fractal levels.

Let people buy obsidian shards with dungeon currency. Maybe something like 20 – 40 for one shard. Boom. People would be farming dungeons all day. Not saying it would be the best idea, or even a good one, but it would make people play dungeons and take maybe a couple of days to program tops. Too bad ArenaNet would never do this, dungeon content will just continue to die.
