(Probably should have mentioned in the first post I’m European, for price purposes)

My initial budget was under 100€ for the GPU (store bought, from the place I’m getting all the other PC parts), but I actually had to replace the power supply so it suffered even more. Couldn’t find any of the suggested ones nowhere near my budget so I ended up going with the R7 250 (2GB), which I know is probably only a tiny little bit better than my initial choice but at least it was cheaper.

Probably also should have mentioned I’m not even a PC gamer so I’m not looking into anything even similar to your high-end, beast-like builds, lol; just looking to get about 30 fps with HoT for the lowest price possible, really.

But thanks for all the info and help, guys. Maybe one day I’ll invest in one of those illusive R9 or GTX960 ~

By the way, for cooling purposes:

I have the default i5 Core 4460, + whatever I get from the video card + the system fan + a 700W PSU + the heat spreader on the Ripjaws memory (if that counts). Do you think that’s enough to comfortably run the game?
I could get an Arctic Freezer 13 if necessary.

So I’m gonna upgrade my computer to be able to play Heart of Thorns and I’m planning to get an Asus GeForce GT740 with 2gb (I have a limited budget). Game Debate gives it a rating of 4/10, with 118% performance on recommended requirements.

My boyfriend uses a AMD Radeon HD 6750 with only 500mb and gets 136% performance. How is this possible? I thought mine was supposed to be substantially better?

He plays at 20 to 30 fps and graphics-wise the game looks pretty decent. Would the GT 740 give me at least as much? Assuming I’ll be playing at like, 1920×1080, most likely.

Could anyone with experience help me out?

PS: Also, does HoT run well with Win10?

Oh my God… I just burned 350 gems on a gem store item I didn’t even want because I thought I was clicking in the right place but apparently my pointer had nudged a bit before and I didn’t realize it (was buying from the tiny “Recent Purchases” menu on the right).

I accidentally bought another Mini Red Panda, which I already had instead of a Black Lion Key.

Seeing as I can’t even sell the mini because it’s account bound, could something else be done about this?

I understand it’s unlikely I’ll be allowed to just return the item (didn’t remove it from the delivery mail, obviously) and get my gems back so… could I at least trade it for something of equal or even inferior value? Just so my gems don’t go to waste?

I got my beta portal today so I was reading the beta FAQ and saw this:

“Make sure you sign up using the same e-mail address that you use for your game account.”

I signed up for the newsletter way back in March with the e-mail address I use for college related stuff, because I check it everyday, usually more than once.
However, my GW2 account is linked to my personal (hotmail) e-mail.

I sorta panicked, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to get into the beta, so I subscribed again, this time with my personal e-mail address.

Should I unsubscribe with my college address just to be safe? Or keep both? What should I do? I REALLY don’t want to lose my chance to participate in the beta over something so dumb ;_______;

First of all, thank you OP for creating this topic. I was on my way to make one final topic on how outraged I am about this change to Ele traits, and then say goodbye to GW2, when I found this one.

My main is an Ele and I’ve invested a lot of playtime into fine-tuning my build because I’m not meta, I’m not a zerker, I don’t spam Meteor Shower, I’m not D/D. So I had to make my build work and, with time, I have. And Elemental Attunement and Evasive Arcana are absolutely crucial to my build, as to many other builds (including meta D/D, I know though), because those boons aren’t some fancy master trait choice: we need them to SURVIVE. And why do we have to sacrifice the dodge heal? You’re killing elementalists!

Not to mention that Mesmers get baseline benefits but Elementalists have to CHOOSE? This is insane. This is ridiculous.

And to be perfectly honest here, it makes zero sense that boon on attunement isn’t even baseline to begin with (so GM is just laughable), but let’s not even get into that (even though that’s a middle-of-the-road solution that could make everyone happy).

Basically, this change to Ele traits is just a travesty. It’s unfair, and I hope that they’ll listen to what people are saying; otherwise I have a feeling I won’t be the only player leaving the game and that’s just sad, really.
I’ve been playing this game since launch (actively), I love it, I happily give them my cash to buy silly little things from the gemstore and I was extremely excited for HoT and more than willing to camp outside the store to get it on the first day. But I can’t go on playing when my main profession is getting irrational changes made to it, to nerf it even more, specially when it’s already hard to try and keep up with everyone else playing other professions (and continuously watch as some of them just keep getting improvements....)

Same as everyone else... XP SP3, game crashes & computer freezes when in fullscreen mode. Yesterday I managed to suffer through my daily at 2 fps in windowed mode but I can’t actually play like this from now on... this is ridiculous

Lots of people are experiencing problems since the 16/3 update, ranging from in-game bugs, to game crashing after playing for a while to, in my case, the game not even launching. Welcome aboard.

Female Sylvari! The HoT plot is the perfect excuse to create the salad I’m missing (heavy armor).

I wouldn’t really complain about characters talking randomly and enemies losing their textures IF ONLY the game would actually launch. Since the update of doom that all I get is the background music playing and my computer freezing every single time. The supposed fix patch fixed absolutely nothing. Any day now, ANet.

I did some research and the following sets seem to be close to the color you’re looking for:

Specific weapons:
- (Axe) Jaws of Death

Female player here and I have a female Charr since launch.
I do think female Charr need more love; maybe Rox will make them more popular! She’s cool, even with that somewhat creepy face ~

I have a female Charr Thief and, personally, I love the Krytan armor and Inquest (COE) set. Most of the Whisper’s stuff is nice too, Sneakthief, HoTW and even COF.

If you have some gems, Viper armor has some cool stuff.
