If he hits you once you can see him for a minimum of 4 seconds.
That is of course if the game decides to render the Thief before they re-stealth
Cosmic Vomit is a small multi-game guild of people that have been playing together for many years. We have been playing MMORPGs since EQ, and we have had players in Dark Age of Camelot, Lineage II, Age of Conan, World of Warcraft, and many others.
We are a diverse group focused on many aspects of the game, so you can expect to see us in WvW, sPVP, PVE, dungeons, and even jump puzzles. We enjoy the game as a whole and are looking for more people to enjoy the game with.
Our guild has access to both a RaidCall and Ventrilo server, both of which are used extensively. Our website and forums (http://cv.ltworld.com) are used actively for organizing events, and our recruitment process is simple.
Once you join, there is no commitment. If you prefer to solo, no one is going to stop you. If you want a group, there’s people always willing to help. If you want to cross-guild, that is okay too. You spent your money on the game, you should play the way that you want.
If you’re interested, please contact me (Scourge.2173/Serak/Thewen) or anyone with the [CosV] tag in-game and they’ll be able to help you get set up.
Is there any place to see the current live scores for all match ups? I’m interested to see if how the scores are changing during the week. If not, could you please post your score from your server pairing?
Here’s the one I’m in:
Northern Shiverpeaks – 193k (540)
Anvil Rock – 38k (80)
Ferguson’s Crossing – 31k (75)
Yes once you transfer servers, you will have to start over generating influence on the new server. Honestly though, influence is so easy to generate I’m sure you’ll be able to get all the upgrades again in 1-2 weeks.
My guild did the same thing for the same reason. Trust me, its better being able to play.
Is this an exploit? Can they get up in to the citadel legitimately?
It’s bad enough Ferguson’s Crossing is getting stomped, we don’t need people harassing us in the safe areas too. I’m aware that in this particular spot we are invulnerable, but the cliffs west of the tower do not have the invulnerable buff. With the enemies up here, we don’t have any hope of even getting that one tower.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen confusion stick on a siege engine, I’ll have to check this out later.
They desperately need some sort of equilibrium mechanic to get the losing teams playing. In my opinion, an orb buff for every 20k you’re behind the winning team would be plenty. If a team pulls too far ahead, then they have to deal with their enemies becoming increasingly stronger until they manage to catch up.
I think the point is that it is a money sink. If they reduce this money sink, they would need to increase it elsewhere.
Night capping isn’t an isolated event, it happens in every pairing. I too am a bit agitated that the blog didn’t mention the obvious server mismatches and the lack of an equilibrium mechanic.
The most he really said was “sorry about the queues, transfer if you don’t like it”
If you are worried about people stealing your siege engines, then build your own and stop forcing others to pay for your xp/loot.
Also, loot bags take priority over manning a siege engine. It takes less than a second to press F 3 times.
An equilibrium system to help those servers who lose due to the night crew or underpopulation.
A suggestion I saw posted was to provide an orb bonus for every 25% difference your opponents are ahead of you. Example:
Team A – 95k points
Team B – 25k points
Team C – 20k points
Team A would receive no additional bonus (besides the 3 orbs they likely own)
Team B would receive 3 “orb bonuses”, 15% life, 150 to all stats
Team C would receive 5 “orb bonuses”, 25% life, 250 to all stats
This would help fix a lot of the snowballing issues and helplessness the losing teams can feel.
