I’ve submitted a ticket to appeal the decision on my permanent termination due to using third party programs. I’ve yet to hear anything from them for a few days now, so I’m posting here to see what the progress is on the review of my wrongful ban.

@Gaile
I’m not adding on to the ranting, but I simply have a question that pertains to this. I’ve updated my appeal to a ticket about 2 days ago and you did mention that it takes a while for them to review my case personally.
Just wondering how long does it usually take or more specifically, how long do I wait until I take action and update my ticket again? I realize my situation may be a bit different than other people’s log in issues, so I don’t know if I should wait the normal 3 days or not. And to refresh your memory, I’m one of the false positives you’re talking about, as I was banned for using a third party program.
I see, thank you for letting me know. The sooner the support team can resolve my termination, the sooner I can get out of this depression.
I may be a little too addicted to guild wars 2, but again I want to thank you for giving me some insight on this.
May I ask however, if I happen to get the same response again, do I continue to update and appeal my ticket? Or do I miserably accept what has happened?
Yes, thank you so much for actually giving me a human response to this. I will indeed plea again and I will hope for the best.
I am also aware of the people you’re talking about, and once again, I can’t prove that I’m different than them. Thank you again Gaile.
I apologize for ranting in another thread earlier but I was honestly upset and mildly depressed over the fact that I was terminated due to a mistake while GMs were reviewing who was a bot or used any third party programs.
I would like to enlighten any readers that I have indeed sent in a ticket and they did respond to it, only it wasn’t the correct response I was expecting to hear. They told me in a near automated response that they only terminate accounts when they’re “sure” a player is a bot or used some kind of third party program.
I am unable to prove my innocence, but no matter how hard I plea to the support team, I fear this is their absolute answer and I won’t be getting my account back.
I want to make it perfectly clear that I didn’t break any rules and if I did, I would like a clear explanation of what it was that I did break. Yes I read the user agreements and rules, and no I did not spot anything that I did that was considered a rule breaker.
After hearing what I have to say and the response I received, there is nothing left for me to do but to express my feelings here on the forums. I do believe the support team is trying their best, but I don’t believe they’ll turn around and re-review my ticket and really solve this problem. If there is anything a dev can do to remedy this situation, I would truly appreciate it, but please don’t be cold and say that the support team’s word is final, because its wrong and I am being done an injustice.
I spent my hard earned money and time, and this game has become something very important to me. I will continue to plea for the renewal of my account and enter in new tickets, but I fear it will not be enough.

I know for a fact that they make mistakes, because I was wrongly banned for botting earlier yesterday when I’ve never touched a third party program. Unfortunately, their support team may give you a cold shoulder because they gave me a near automated response saying they only terminate accounts they’re “sure” broke the rules.
If these problems are not given attention, their reputation will be ruined. I wasted my money.
:( At first I did report them, but they didn’t go away and I didn’t think it would be too bad since I wasn’t using any kind of programs.
Thanks for the tips, I will continue to wait for their response to my ticket. I hope no one else fell to the same mistake as well, this feels horrible.
To whoever this may concern,
I was banned for “botting” earlier this morning and have already sent in a ticket to try and get answers for why this has happened to me and to hopefully get this reversed.
I have in no way used any type of botting programs or any third party macros throughout my entire time playing on guild wars 2. The only reason I see how this could have come across is that I did farm in the same areas as bots… can you blame me though?
They hang around for days and days, wiping out any and all mobs, so why not take advantage of that and join them in their onslaught and benefit from their not-so-hard work. I admit I did this for probably an unhealthy amount of hours, but nothing compared to a real bot so I don’t understand how I could have been mistaken as one? When I farm however, I do have tendencies to miss the chat because after mindlessly farming for hours, anyone could have a huge reduction of their attention span. (Meaning all I do is attack red names). This being said, I really don’t remember anyone asking me if I was actually there and not a bot, so I can honestly say this hit me very suddenly and without warning.
I don’t know how or why exactly I was banned and I have no way to really proving my innocence, but I want to still plea my hardest because this kind of injustice really hurts the pride I laid in Guild Wars. I spent my hard earned money to purchase this game in order to play with my friends and family, but now I can’t log in to join them in any adventures.
I’ve yet to receive a response to the ticket I sent in earlier, so I hope this may grab some attention from mods/admins patrolling the forums. Please carefully review my situation and find that I really am innocent, and would do anything asked of me to reverse this horrible fate. I’ve worked too hard on the game and I’ve spent a lot of my precious time to play this wonderful game, and I really don’t think I would have stopped anytime soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I really do hope this can be fixed as soon as possible so that I may continue my questing/farming in time for the Halloween event!
P.S. I have all the information required in the form and will give it willingly to any admins/mods who are willing to help me in my endeavor. I’m going to fight this to the best of my ability because this means too much to me to let go.

@Lanrin – Dawn is the precursor greatsword to create the legendary greatsword: Sunrise. Look it up on youtube and you’ll see what the hype is all about
I got cussed out by a dead guy demanding to be revived. So I trolled him for half an hour while dancing on his dead body.
Too bad my thread with the screenshots got deleted, most likely due to the bad language in the screenies.
^ is the charr dance too wild for you?
^ I second that… all of that.
^ Indeed, except what I was suggesting would be the easy route and would probably cost the least amount of money to develop.
And from what I’m learning in college in game development, if its an unnecessary cost, they won’t do it.
They could make it cosmetic, but when the player is playing storymode, will the player resume their regular story with the old race or their new race?
+The old race would probably be against what most players want, after all , they spent money to change race in the first place.
+The new race would require the developers to switch the player’s story by resetting the progress or however else you can think of to make it work. Wonderful, except it would cost them money to do it which is counter-productive as they’re trying to make money off of this.
It all comes down to money, and how much it will cost them to create new items with new effects.
But you’re right, they can make it work however they want, its just they wouldn’t want to.
As a representative of Darkhaven, I would like to say…
WE IN FIRST PLACE, SON!!!!!
I read a dev’s response to similar suggestions in other threads and they said race changes are no-can-do’s.
The most they’re willing to do is character trait re-customization like height and other physical features. Race/Class changes are not part of the plan unfortunately, and it makes sense because if you’ve done any part of your storymode, it’d be all wonky to cut into another race’s story.
Sorry buddy
I… I think you’re a genius.
I would like to see this get some attention as well. I thought I was the only one but it seems I was wrong. Everything works with the color I’m trying to use except my shoulder armor.
First, I’d like to apologize if there was already a topic made on this bug but I did try to search and nothing came up.
The bug I’d like to report is in the dye change menu in the Hero screen. It may very well just be a bug specific to me or maybe many others but the problem is when I try to use the color gold.
Gold dye (Masterwork) worked on every other piece of armor and all the separate parts of those pieces EXCEPT my top shoulder armor color.
In the first screenshot I included, I show the example of how I wanted the armor to look with the dye applied. After I close the window to see how it looks on my character model, the color goes from gold to Dye Remover, which is a grayish color.
It really says Dye Remover when I hover my cursor over the color example
Again, it only affects my top shoulder piece and nothing else. Other dyes work on it, just not gold.
More info:
+Shoulder armor is the Dreadnought Spaulders (Tier 3 cultural armor for Charrs)
+Username: Vanguard Styx
+World: Darkhaven
Everyone seems to be loving the twilight legendary… but I’m all for sunrise!!!
For my all gold heavy armor look, sunrise will match me perfectly!
I can agree with both the lower cap being raised above vendor price and limit cap at 100g. That sounds solid.
They’ll bleed oil!
Good… Good…
Bleed! Bleed you Flame Legion turret! Bleed!!!!
Nice, I saw him get that corrupted lodestone in the beginning and immediately got interested lol
To be honest, I do see that it would damage and slow down that problem… but limiting the TP to 20 gold will raise other problems as well.
I can already see high end items no longer being available on the TP because 20 gold would just be too low (Like say the legendary precursors).
I’m no pro at economics but low supply means high demands which would just make those items even more impossible to get via trading post and seeing as these items take A LOT of gold to purchase materials to create… it just wouldn’t be profitable to sell, which will force everyone to craft their own precursor legendary weapon.
Also, I believe grinding is a choice in this game. One could quite possibly do fun dynamic events over and over and explore the world for rare exotics and loot for a good solid income. If that is your definition of grinding then we’re on different pages.
If you want to make a ton of gold for something thats worth 100+ gold then take your time and enjoy your way to it, because I’m guessing that if something costs 100 gold, it isn’t meant to be achievable within a few weeks, but is supposed to be a long time and end-game type of goal.
Back on topic though— I think you’ll have to find a better way to combat the GFC instead of drastically altering the trading post because that will not only effect the GFC, but every honest player out there who is trying to make a profit from their hard earned items.
I also want something like this but as Musta said…
A lot needs to be done to the TP before something luxurious as a Black Lion Trading Post application for our mobile phones to be released.
There has been a thread about this already and that one actually has a dev post on it:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Character-Re-Customization/page/2#post303097
Jure Simich makes some very realistic points.
Also theres no need to further push this I think, as this is one of the few suggestions I’ve seen ANET devs post on saying thanks for the suggestion. I’m almost positive this is coming soon.
I agree with Harathi Hinterlands, I visited there more often than not while leveing up, even when I was much higher level than the area simply because of the constant battles there with the centaurs. Drops were a nice addition as well.
But by far… the best way to level up is story mode lol Nothing beats the giant chunk of exp you get for completing a simple part of your story.
I took their money and reported them with joy. You won’t get in trouble if you accept their puny 1 copper. Unless they send you a massive amount, then you’ve got a whole different story.
I experimented with this as well and here are my results:
Dual weapons have their own separate effects and on the skills they unlock for you.
Putting a +5% dmg vs monster on both weapons do not give you 10% dmg vs monster over all with all skills, instead, I believe its +5% dmg for the first 3 main hand weapon skills and +5% dmg for the final off hand weapon skills.
It is best to change it up, like an endurance booster sigil on the shield and a dmg booster on the main weapon.
Sorry I can only answer your first question because I’ve yet to experiment with sword and shield.
Just know that sigil buffs like dmg % will not stack, although passive types like endurance restorations do work together (Usually restores half of your endurance per sigil, so equipping two of them will restore 100% endurance on weapon switch)
The comments above are correct, I’m playing with 3 people around me and each are wildly different in levels. I’m level 80, the others are 67 and a level 10.
We all warped to the same waypoint from the same location and the prices varied immensely. I paid over 3 silver, the lvl 67 paid 1 silver, and the level 10 paid around 8 copper?
You won’t be making the big bucks til you hit level 80, and you’re able to aim for your permanent gears.
My way is no where near easy but it will get you a solid and constant income (One week I was able to save up enough to purchase a tier 3 cultural armor piece for 20 gold)
Once you hit level 80:
+Buy level 80 gears with Magic Find (Doesn’t have to be exotic or anything, just has to support you for PvE)
+Upgrade trinkets with Magic Find %
+Upgrade armors and trinkets with Magic Find sigils and runes
+Buy or craft Magic Find food items (best one I’ve heard of is +40% magic find)
+Buy a weapon with the best DPS output (for me, it was the greatsword)
Then after preparations are complete, you find an area with lots of monsters to farm (Sorry but I’m keeping mine a secret, but you’ll find a good one if you look hard enough in level 80 areas).
Farming will get you a good flow of income, and it’ll just get better with more magic find. I also do dynamic events which has a lot of monsters (Usually a defending type event like the prequest to the dungeon Citadel of Flame).
TIP ABOUT THE TRADING POST: Contrary to what the others have said about most items can sell for more than vendor price… the hard truth is, most of the items you get will be listed as 1 copper more than vendor price. DON’T SELL ON TP, because there are sale and listing charges! (15% if I recall… correct me if I’m wrong)
Only sell when the profit is worth your while.
Hope this helps!

Also, the info on the sword is:
http://www.gw2db.com/items/54562-lionguard-longsword
I apologize if there was a better section to post this but I was wondering specifically about the Lionguard Longsword and how to obtain one.
I use the PVP locker to look up many awesome equipment and this greatsword peaked my interested but the problem is that I can’t seem to find any information on how to obtain it. This goes for a few other equipment as well which has scarce information about them.
So my question is, how can I get one? The description on some databases state that it is soulbounded on acquire, which means i can’t purchase it by means of the Trading Post. I’m guessing its either Karma or Dungeon as those items I find to be mostly SB on acquire.
Can I get any confirmation on this? And perhaps a website or source of these mysterious equipment. Thanks in advance!
Has this been looked into by devs yet? I came onto the forums specifically to post about this issue.
Haha, those Charrs can be rude sometimes
