Anybody know the names for some of the soundtracks that plays at the character selection screen? Some of them are quite awesome but i have no idea where to find find them or if they are even available.
If you wanna make your build look impressive then try to stop adding corny titles such as “demigod” to it.
So seeing as Trehearne sploded in a giant blue flash, how do you think the Pact will fare in the future seeing as they lost their Marshall? I doubt Anet is going to let us become the single sole leader of the Pact and will instead give us a role in selecting a new Marshall or some kind of new Pact leadership.
you have 1200 toughness
less then 2500 armor..
that is why you’re getting hit hard.
Don’t get me wrong, berserker thieves are going to hit you hard…But you’re getting crushed because you’re glass cannon just the same.
You need to get off the notion that just because you’re in heavy armor..It means you’re impossible to kill
If you get tanky, you still die. just takes 4 seconds instead of 2.
But you cant do crap against thief either in tank… so your just becoming a free kill.Heavy armor should have naturaly High physical resist.
Have you ever tried to use a knife against a plate armor ?? i have, just for the fun of it.
And trust me.. i didnt even dent the kitten crap when i stabbed it or slized at it.Heavy armor… is the totaly Anti knife armor. hell its even anti sword to some degree.
If you want a similar test.. just take a 2 mm thick metal sheet… then take a knife.. and stabb away all you like.. you never gonna hurt the metal.
You do know that some swords and daggers were made to pierce armors with a thrust instead of a slash right? Also considering that most thieves are probaly trained in the arts of backstabbing lorewise, i dont think it would be that hard for them to find gaps and other weakpoints in heavy armor.
Well the order of whisper probaly has quite an extensive information network and i could easily imagine that our character could acces this network of information but Anet probaly got lazy on this one.
Well lets see who there is.
Most hated NPCs for me:
Zojja: I don like asuras who are arrogant and irritating and for me Zojja just seems to press these buttons. I never played an asura but most asura npcs that i encountered was pretty annoying and Zojja stand at the top.
Trahearne: I dont think i really need to explain this one.
Sieran: I hated her from the moment i met her. Her cheery attitude simply just annoy me. TO CHEERY!!!
Most kodans: To me they seem arrogant and wanna-be-know-it-all. I get that they actually perfer avoiding other races that “disrupts” the balance and are slow to test them but i hate how they put them selves above everything else by saying that only koda can understand the balance.
NPCs that i like:
Tybalt: Tybalt had some cheerness like Sieran but in a way i liked. He seemed more reasonable and was pretty nice. Just overall a better character than Sieran.
Forgal: Forgal is actually pretty simple to me which some people might find boring but i liked him and his kittenness. His simplicity is his charm.
Alright alright. The dungeon WAS AC in story mode. I’m a warrior that uses GS’s with 10 trait points in strength and 10 in arms. I use signets for the passive benefit and the arms perk. I tend to stay away from banners because of their odd mecanic (I’d rather not have to rely on them but it sounds like I’ll have to). We had a warrior with a warhorn, which counts as a support I guess?
Edit: I’m level 32… the rest were 60+
Also you said before that your tried to tank. Did you do this like in other rpgs like wow or rift? To me it seems like mobs hit for alot more in the dungeons than they do in other morpgs and there arent any dedicated healers in GW2. If you did that may have been where one of the faults lied since to me you cant directly facetank in GW2. Its more about moving and kiting the enemies around. Its surprising how many hits you can avoid by side strafing.
What dungeon did you run? What profession are you and do you remember what the others you ran with were? Are you running with a full glass cannon build and did you have any supports?
I lack some information to help you but some general things that can help in a dungeon is to have stun breaking skills or skills that grant Stability to recover from knockdown/knockback. Having a ranged and a melee weapon can also help alot. If the melee fight gets to dangerous back off and use ranged attacks while you recover. Alternatively you can also just use ranged attacks if the fight itself is to dangerous. Also be aware of enemies AOEs and watch your boons and conditions. Having a skill that cleanses conditions can be a blessing.
It’s a free-to-play game. They find ways of nickel-and-diming people. There’s nothing else to expect.
No it really isnt, I dont know about you but i paid $60 for this game.
Yeah its not free to play but more like pay once to play. On the topic on hand i feel that DR is needed although hated by many because it adds varity to the dungeons and like Chickenshoes said it prevents grinders from gaining an advantage over the market.
I agree with this too. The current guild i am in is at least 3 months old but we are 400+ members but only about 25% of those members are active. We have been coming up with plans for how to do a clean up but having a roster that shows when members was last online would make this much easier.
Is it just me or does the male human animation around the legs seem odd? Like they are to close to be natural.
Not at the moment. The current story is finished after you defeat Zhaitan but more will definitely come.
Like the title points out im wondering if theres any sylvari that have formed a interracial romantic relationship with another species? Have you guys seen something like this or any lore like this.
Well i would say every race except the Char. The Char comes off to me as a race that distrust magic due to the flame legion and would rather rely on thier physical prowness from them self and thier machines. This is not how it is in the game but its the impression i get when looking at them.
So Bubbles is coming? BTW i stumbled upon something interesting on the GW2 wiki. Theres a boss in the Crucible of Eternity called Subject Alpha who uses skills called Teeth of Primordus, Tooth of Jormag and Teeth of Mordramoth. Could this be the deep sea dragons real name?
likely, but it could be named after any aspect that we dont know about. there is also speculation about a nature themed dragon, so mordramoth could be that dragon instead of bubbles.
Yeah, there are speculation about a sixth dragon but i do hope that bubbles is mordramoth.

It says this on the GW2 wiki: “In 1219 AE, Zhaitan’s awakening caused the sunken nation of Orr to rise from the ocean, flooding the coastlines of Tyria and drowning thousands. Zhaitan conscripted those killed into his risen army, alongside the ancient dead of Orr, creating a fleet spanning the Strait of Malchor, and blocking access to and from Cantha while also invading north towards Kryta and southeast towards the Elonian border.”
Also theres magic in this world so i wouldnt be surprised if necromancy had some way to stop or slow the decay of the corpse.
