But I tried to do so aswell, and it opened a new instance on lvl 36 instead of 26 which was the group I joined, And yes they had one open

Heres my problem,
When I try to join a fractal from the LFG tool, the Window to open Fractal pops up in the botton left corner of my screen, and only has to option to open a new fractal, on my personal reward level. I dont get the option to join my group. I tried relogging multiple times. Closed the game, and rejoined the party, Nothing seems to help.

Hope this gets fixed, id like to do my fractals :p

I was playing a guardian, tho also in celestial becouse thats the only stuff we get in the beta. But content shoudlve be balanced for zerker, They wanted to get away from zerker meta with HoT, so non zerker people without ascended should be able to do it.

Hey, I wanna give some quick feedback for the Outpost " jaka Itzel" specificly the event
“Defeat the Mordrem Trolls to clear the village”

This event is not tagged as a “group” event as some other events in the game. That means it should be able to do it alone.

At the moment that is not possible, the rate of which " Mordrem Menders" spawn make it nearly impossible to kill anything. They should be tuned down in my opinion.

Also veteran Menders are basicly unkillable.

We had to try to kill one troll for nearly five minutes with like 3-4 people becouse he got healed non stop, from 5+ menders :p

Would be nice if we get less menders, and more scaling up of the trolls, make them veteran -> elite -> champ with more players around.

I don’t think you understand the term rng.

Also requirements like this are added so that it takes some amount of skill to play the game well. You need to learn to judge distances in game and be aware of your surroundings not just look at your hud to tell you when to do what.

Well unless you count to 7 each time it activates, it is rng. Also whats the problem with the UI giving me this information? The UI also tells me when my F2 are active, and when my F1 can burn the enemy on hit, and it tells me how many stability stacks i have, I dont need to look at all skills, and count them.

“Heavy Light” Longbow arrows knock back when withoin the range threshold.
Threshhold is 300 yards, ICD is 7 seconds.

Would it be posible to change this to something less rng?
Or if it stays as it is, I would love to to see the icon of the trait apearing in the “buffs” bar where all your other buffs are displayed.
First of in grey with the numbers 1.2.3.4.5..6..7 counting up, and then in not-grey, so you know its ready.

Probably because Guardians have Retreat! as a utility skill.

Well, the other classes also have great mobility like the warrior, with greatsword + sword/warhorn, and they still got a trait with more movementspeed while wielding a melee weapon. Same with the other classes, they also got skills with swiftness and still got a Signet or a trait.

I was just about to open my own post, so i just leave my opinion here!

I would be very happy if guardian could get one himself. We could rename the Minor grandmaster to " On the Hunt" and make it give swiftness on certain things, or just flat 25% movementspeed, like for the chronomancer. With the chronomancer change guardian will be only class without permanent movespeed, veven engi got it with Kit swaps.
I think changing the mino grandmaster for dragonhunter is nessecary anyway, since it only really benefits longbow users, it should be changed to something that benefits more build, since there will be people that pick dragonhunter but dont want to use the Longbow.

They seem nice, but with the Spirit Weapons, Do you mean we could use the summoned weapon for 25 seconds then call it back to use as a hand weapon for another 20 seconds?? So you would have a wepaon that does almost double base damage than your GS for almost a minute??? In numbers now i would get 4K to heavy by each hit with the AA GS#1. With GS#2 i would get almost 14K againts Heavy armor.

I would use the the same time as the actual skill has. Within that time you may choose to use it as spiritual weapon (with life bar) or hand weapon (no life bar). Could be called by the same skill button for as long the skill is active. Also no crits or that could be madness. I and damage scaling from willpower instead power when hold?

About the bow, could be simply the same skills of the ice bow. So guard and DH could still be separated in that way.

About the mobility signet, i don’t think it will happen. However you still have the alternative of the traveller runes and pema-swiftness build. It’s an annoyance but you can get the mobility you need. It is said the heavy armor classes shouldn’t have passive mobility enhancements i think the warrior doesn’t have them as well.

Well ofc the trait with the 50% more dmg to Spirit weapons would need to be adjusted to like 10-15%, also the time when they follow you could be nerfed to 15 seconds, so you have them 15 seconds beside you, and 15 seconds in hand, 30 seconds in total. Also I dont like the Idea of the bow getting icebow skills, thats just a copy of icebow basicly.

Well ye, maybe we dont get a Signet, but they could change the Minor Grandmaster to a new one, maybe call it " On the Hunt" and give it 25% movementspeed, since the Chronomancer got the same!
I dont like the 10% extra dmg, since it only benefits certain build, mostly longbow users. something else in that slot would benefit more play styles. Since im sure there will be people that pick Dragonhunter but dont use longbow.

Tis might be a bit out of place here, but the Hrandmaster Minor is pretty strong “25% movementspeed” other classes need a signet for it. Can we have the same for Dragonhunter Minor Grandmaster? Call it like " On the Hunt" or something ^^ +10% dmg on range only works with longbow anyway, So another trait would be better to benefit all playstyles

Hello everyone, my name is Serius, and my main is a Guardian, its the character I spend 90% of my time in Guildwars2.
I already leveled two of them to 80, the only place where I play something different is PvP.

Theres are some skills like the “Tomes” [who are currently looked at] that I just never use, and very rarely see anyone use at all! Lets talk about them

Lets start with the “Spirit weapons” :
I really love… well loved them, in the past. On release they where really cool, in that they didnt have a Health bar, and couldnt get killed, You hast had a nice little DPS boost for 30 sec, and traited you could even use the active skill 1-2 time before they disapear.
But after they got nerfed, meaning they got an HP bar, i just stoped using them, they just got killed, over and over

Since the Arenanet team got “new tech” to work with now, I thought it might be a good idea to change them.
At the moment they just feel like Necromancer pets… just that they are weapons, and not permanent.

We also cant make them to Kits, cuz thats first off too much work, and secondly we already got a Kit class, the engineer.

So here is my proposed change for them.

Example : Spirit Weapon Greatsword : Summon a Spirit Greatsword to follow you around and attack your foes, [With the Guardian Greatsword autoattackchain].
Duration 30 seconds. On re-using this abylity while the sword is still summoned, you will take it into your hand, granting you the Spirit Greatsword, [Basicly like the Conjurs of elementalist] – the Greatsword has the exact same skills as the normal Guardian greatsword [so no big work here] You may now use the sword for 15-20 seconds(needs to be balanced) to use these skills.

This will allow multiple things :

1) The attack with the greatsword will inflict burn [with the trait]

2) They will do more dmg [ trait]

3) And that allows you to basicly have a 3th or even 4th weapon, this would be very unique, even tho it is only for a few seconds, it would allow a Gurdian, that is normaly traited for lets say Mace+shield/Staff, to use the Greatsword in certain encounters when they need the damage.

This obviously needs to be balance with the cooldown/dmg/burn duration etc.
Also the cooldown on the “Summon spirit weapon skill” would only start, when you stop using it in your hands. And would have a 50+ seconds cooldown, maybe 40 with traits.

With this kind of change I would suggest to remove “Summon shield” and replace it with " Summon Staff" so that all 4 Weapons the guardian can summon are two-handed weapons, so that there isnt some issue with only having some of the attack skills replaced.

To balance this, the HP of the weapons need to be nerfed, and a 5 seonc delay has to be introduced, between summoning a weapon and equiping it, so that there is enough counter play in PvP for other people to burst these weapons down before the Guardian can use them.

The other issue with this would be the question, if we allow non Dragonhunters to still use the “Summon Longbow” to grant them the Longbow skills, or maybe this Skill would need to be unlocked only when traited into the Elite specc.

Now that was the big part I wanted to talk about, the other skillset that isnt getting that much use [at least from my knowledge] are the Signets, while they are nice for Solo play, they dont offer that much support for the party.

One of the Signets would be made into a 25% movementspeed passive, and in light of this, “Retreat” could be brought back down to its old cooldown.

I dont have specific ideas for the other signets, but some kind of PBAoE support would be possible, like for the proposed new " Signet of Courage". As for something like the Signet that revives a fallen partymember, that either needs to have an AoE field to ress multiple people, or have its cooldown brought down a bit, since 180 second or any skill make them really unatractive.

Lastly just a Question for the ArenaNet Skillteam, and specificly Jon Peters, how do you guys feel about the shield skills for guardian?
At the moment the focus feels more like a shield then the actual shield, could we see some changes to these skills at some point? Maybe something fancy with the new tech.

I would really love to get feedback on this, and what your general thoughts about the Signets and Spirit weapons are, are they in a good place? Is it not off the table? Or would this rather be something that would be adressed in a future Elite specc?

In the Ready – up episode of this friday, we got to see the Guardian specc. Namely the " Dragonhunter" although i strongly dislike the name I will not talk further about the name in this post.

The specc, gets 5 or 6 new trap skills. But only one single trait for it, that applies bleeding on each hit. While this is very good, it makes me sad that every single "skill categorie like for example " shout" “signet” " mantra" etc. has a trait that reduces the cooldown of said skills by 20%
There is no reason we should not get this.

Also it would be very nice to get a trait that allows traps to be groundtargeted. Again, Ranger traps have a trait like that. And even wells from Chronomancer and necromancer are getting tuned so that groundtargeting is baseline. Now i understand that we wont get to place traps at 1200 range. But please. placing stuff at your feet when your supposed to be tactical run around and stay at range is really iffy.

So my suggestion is make a new Grandmaster trait for the Dragonhunter that includes 20% cooldownreduction, groundtargeting and the bleeding ( And bring the bleed dmg down a bit) and replace it with the Grandmaster that currently grants Protection on virtue use, This trait is not that powerfull since virtues have a high base cooldown, so it can easely be swapped with the adept trait that was only trap bleeding before.

I really like the longbow attacks, and the trap design in general seems really good, but it really bugs me not being able to place them at range.

As a last point i want to talk about animations and sound. Although I know that they are probadly placeholders I want to state my opinion here.
The number 5 skill on Longbow should by no means have the same sound as Rangers longbow barrage, since its light arrows

Also when i read about the " spear of justice" from the F1 virtue, I though about an gigantic Light spear that can even dent a Dragon.. not a toothpick.. please. MAKE IT BIGGER

Im not sure if this is possible in the Guildwars 2 engine, but I would really like traps looking like traps, and not just a flat symbol on the ground.

Before i end I though i give my feedback about the elite Tomes that John Peters was talking about aswell. I really like them. Please go ahead and change them.

Guardian already has good synergy with shouts so having an elite shout aswell would be awesome. The new signet also seems like alot of fun! While the tomes where occasionaly fun, I really dislikes that they blocked all your other skills when you used them.

And since its a possibility that old skills get reworked, I there a possibility to do something about the shield of the guardian? Sadly the focus is more " shield-like" then the shield. In protection and support. I would really love playing a guardian with a shield. But the skills dont really appeal to me.

That was my quick-ish feedback, I hope somebody will read it

Since the post on reddit a few days ago, I got wooping SIXTY ONE people to join my guild and I hope to continue this trend! We also had two succesfull guild events, and we will have more coming! In the future we will get a Website with a shedule going, aswell as getting more Commanders to organize.

So hey guys, im commander Setzki, very few might now me from the Silverwastes, I tend to write alot in mapchat, in EU that is. A few days ago i started the #nightraid. For people that cant find SW maps late in the night. So we started to log out, guest to a new server and then Start a new SW map with the “#nightraid sw xx%” in lfg. And it worked wonders! We got most people from our last map back. So i though id share this with you guys and girls out here in reddit so you can start doing this aswell!

So now to the second part of this post. Since I saw multiple post asking about an SW guild or kinds. I want to try to start my own PvE focused farm guild. To do SW / Dry Top / Orr / Worldbosses and orther stuff and hopefully even more with time! The guild is called [BM] Big Moneyz, and is in EU, if by any chance you want to join, just leave me a reply here with youre ingame name and ill contact you.
