I dislike dailies. Last night my buddy was watching basketball. He finally logged on to GW2 for us to play together. What did we do? Dailies, cause we didn’t have enough time to do dailies and something else.

I am the type of player that gets chained to these things because I don’t want to fall behind on something so easy to do. Between doing the daily we port around getting the meta events for the guaranteed rare. Which I have now received 3 Exotics this week so far.

Anyway, I feel tied to the dailies because of my personality and would rather they were not there in this last implementation. Dailies used to be less obvious in the first implementation. Then you really did just play the game to complete them. The latest implementation feels like a chore now.

My buddy is having these same exact problems. He logs in on his Guardian and tries to do a heart or anything really. He’s level 7 and attacks level 7 mobs. He dies. Then he logs off.

I believe he had a preconceived idea that he did not like the game. He plays a lot of different games and enjoys them. But, since me and my buddy said we were moving to GW2 from WoW he disliked GW2 and argued against moving. So now it seems he can’t get into the game cause he blames it for tearing up the guild.

On the other hand, my other buddy and I are playing the hell out of the game and now have a few 80s. Oh well. If you can’t get into the game and can’t find a reason to have fun, move on.

Melandru is bugged on BP. I was wondering if any server had it uncontested. Trying to get my armor before playing with my guild later tonight.

Thank you Elandir, that sounds like what I will need to do. My buddy can’t get the game to run correctly on his setup anyway. I might just ask for a refund and get him something else.

The event felt like a drag. I know a lot of you had a great event but my server/overflow/etc was super laggy. We had resets. We had 3 hours of one of the longest most boring events I have played. The respawns of waves was not fun at all. It usually meant 1/3 of the group dead. People running around naked, on their alts or just standing around cause of the lag. This is not bringing into play how I can’t even play on my Mac cause I crash on the Beta client.

I seriously felt like I was wasting 2 hours for nothing. Then someone says that there are exotics and a 20 slot bag at the end. Me and my buddy choose to stick it out, heck we wasted 2 hours already. Loot the chest and what do we get? Level 62 exotics and some other junk. Level 62? Really? Ugh. It made the 3 hours of disappointment even worse. Not only was the 20 slot bag the only reward, but we had 30 seconds lag that lasted for over 30 minutes. There were disconnects and I even once had to reboot my computer.

This event really made me rethink playing the game. Yes, that is how awful I felt after it was over. I just don’t want to log on and remember how much of a waste of time this was. I have already been kind of forcing my buddy to play so I have someone to play with. I think I am going to shelf the game for a while now. This entire weekend was a bust. This event really made me sad and frustrated. This is not how a one time only event should be.

^ agreed. It’s horrible running in the back most of the time. Thieves seem to get perma speed. My buddy always leaves me behind when we are grouped. I am forced to use the Focus and Teleport or get left behind.

It really sucks.

A big huge kitten kitten kitten YES! I have played since the head start and have not stopped playing. I truly enjoy the game.

I seriously cannot stand Ms “It’s a bad day to travel”. I just want to strangle that kitten!

As someone that got to level 30 rewards in HoM, I wouldn’t mind 1 bit. I had a TON of fun getting to level 30 so it wouldn’t matter to me. Me and my buddy had 2 accounts each so getting the pets as birthday presents was awesome! I sold them all to get a ton of money and get some of the more expensive gear sets.

But like I said, if it gives ANET a bit more money for all their hard work, I mind not at all

Love love love it! I have been playing MMOs since AOL had NeverWinter Nights available. Then UO, EQ, etc. and I just cannot stop playing this game. Haha! Having a blast

The Mesmer was boring my first play through. I was Sylvari. Don’t know, I just couldn’t get into a flow and deleted her at level 5-6. Remade her as a Human and now I am level 31 and in LOVE with the class!!! STAFF I LOVE YOU!!!

I have 6 alts (shhhhhhh!) between levels 10-60 and want to call in sick to work every day. Working up to get enough gold to buy enough gems so I can unlock another character slot. I want to eventually have all the classes.

Thank you ANET for a marvelous time. Even if I was sick of this game, I have gotten MORE than my $60 worth. <3

I forgot to add, I played GW1 a ton as well! I think I played it for 5 years Finding all the nice things that carry over from it, add a little extra. Did I mention I am in love with my Mesmer? I want a statue of her! <3 <3 <3

60 Guardian 7/10 -My Guardian is a bit boring using mostly toughness
32 Ele 4/10 -My first character and I didn’t really like Ele as much as I thought I would
27 Mesmer 9/10 -My current love. So awesome and fun!
-Other love leveling alts

Overall 8/10 -The game is fun but I need to get out of the same zones I have already done like 3 times. Ha! I find myself doing all of the low level zones so doing the same thing at 80 won’t lower my fun.

On the bottom of a skill, there is a red bar. If you have a target selected, the red bars will indicate whether or not your skill is in range. If there is no bar, then your skill is in range. If there is a red bar, then your skill is not in range of the target, and will not hit.

That’s great except that my Guardian will usually swing his sword above the creature then land on top of them. I only tend to hit creatures that are either right next to me or above me. If I am 3 or more steps away from them the jump and swing is above their head. It’s pretty annoying really.
