Just from the last time we met JQ. As I said, I don’t expect JQ to play any better considering the bloat right now. You might take our keeps, but kitten we’re going to make you look stupid doing it.
I just got mine no more then an hour ago, so its not totally broken.. However the game has always had some unknown rule on getting credit for objectives in WvW so that you wouldn’t even get the event medallion thingo if you didn’t qualify (not enough damage compared to everyone else is the usual guess as to the rule)
SBI destroys silver league, other server players get sick and transfer to gold, Anet wins gems and at the same time gets to justify this new map. SBI goes down in history as Anet lackeys.
I would imagine their goals are to solve both these problems. Just because they’re working on one solution now doesn’t mean they are not concerned about the other nor are currently working on another that is not ready to be discussed.

They took away free transfers for whatever reason.. but then they had to introduce this random ranking system to stop stuff from being stale after 6 months. When a company takes away one method of generating a dynamic player driven system, and then inserts a pay-wall between it and then introduces a random system instead.. Well one system was income neutral, whereas the other is income positive.
The worst part of it all is that the people who paid the gems to transfer to the overpopulated servers are the ones who directly benefit from this..
This is not, I repeat not,, intended to fix population imbalance. This is intended to address the population of people who are in the queue. We will make moves to address population imbalance as we can. This has nothing to do with that.
You’re helping the people who are part of the problem. You are quite literally saying "hey guys, thanks for being part of an overbalanced population.. here have another map to play on.. "
Have you ever looked into what WvW would be like if it was free to transfer down to a server that was (an eg) Ranking-3+?. My guess is that you would never would have had to introduce the new ranking system. There must be easier ways to bring balance to WvW rather then cater to the people who flock to what they think is a ‘winning’ server (You’re designing a whole new map, rather then just taking off an artifical restriction to do with gems/transfer)
I’m missing something here.. how is this going to balance population imbalance? The queue was a reason to find a new home. Now, with what is effectively a fifth map you’re just.. oh forget it. I give up.
WOW, I’ve never seen such arrow cart skill before…. What are your secrets for arrow carting people at a choke point? Do you lead them? Is there a specific target you go for, like a guardian or a ranger or something? Do you check for buffs before picking your target?
I can’t help feeling that you guys are going to suffer very badly though in gold league. Your turnout in OCX and SEA was very poor, and had CD not logged on in EU to flip the map away from us, the score may well have been closer.

When you dont care about PPT, the game becomes very different
I’d like to thank SBI for what has been a very educational week. Here’s what I learnt:
1) Don’t try to second guess the SBI commanders. Olaf had me completely baffled when he rammed down the outer gate of SM… then backed out and ran around to the hole in the wall his own team had reported 10 minutes earlier. Obviously I have a lot to learn from him.
2) over encumbered is a hilarious way to die. I never thought I’d have to tell the guys to use a vendor in the middle of a fight, but hey! sbi provides.
3) Whoever has said you can’t make money in WvW has never fought SBI since the blobbening.
4) Whenever you’re feeling lonely, nothing beats a few AC’s in the SM lord room to ensure SBI sends all their plebs to a lonely death, followed by their commander going “why didnt you follow me” as he runs out the gate again.
5) Turns out, you can get more then 25000 kills a week. Thanks SBI!

Only the ex-maguumans who moved to SBI before the blobbing understand how to take the garrison from us… and i dont think youve got enough tap dancing monkeys yet.
It’s not organisation thats hurting SBI. You didn’t lose 3 fully fortified towers to an outmanned oceanic crew on mag due to bad organisation. Quite the opposite in fact.
i can siege up garrison all i want . that blob is in within 30 seconds then second gate another 30 seconds, than boom done, the rest of the bl will dissapear within 10 min max.
we never wanted to fight t1 never ever, as our guilds like good fights. no we are stuck with this and its terrible. we cant even beat tc at all.
Every single T1/t2 server I’ve fought has one big glaring problem: They’re collectively dumb as rocks. Trust me, theres plenty of fun to be had in WvW even when facing blobs by making them look really really dumb (not hard). Not sure what the point of your post is, we did have omegas during the week. Only way to keep ebay’s guilds from tower hugging was to knock down the towers…

To think that we won’t hit high PPT when playing against two low pop servers is insane. I doubt that golem rush isn’t playing for PPT, it’s more like “holy crap I’m bored and it’s Thursday night”. I don’t know why anyone cares what happens on a Thursday, especially in a match like this. Ehmry took our garrison, oh noes! Their morale must be boosted!
The actual conversation on mumble went “ok guys, the match is over. now we can go stupid with golems”

I notice that the “we don’t PPT” features a lot when Mags loses a fight or match, but you don’t see it much when they win a fight.
The only folks that I’ve seen that hold true to that motto all the time are Ark.
Tonight, when it became apparent that even Kain wasn’t going to try to rush SM for the 3rd time in a row, we got so bored that… that i had too… i had to karma train(((
But Ive always found it confusing as to why people think Power/Precision/Toughness is such a bad thing.
As much as I hate being constantly blobbed on in oceanic, I’d much rather keep that then accept any of the oceanic guilds from the likes of DB/Kain/SoS or anyone in T1/T2 for that matter.
I’d lose my source of loot-that-comes-to-you, and the game would be far less funny to play.
Take tonight.. kaineng oceanic blob dies 5 times trying to take a paper SM. 6th time they bring the other blob from their BL in too and finally take it. We had 1/3rd their numbers and no more then 4 pieces of siege. I couldnt even count the size of the groups that continually wiped to us (because the entire corridor is red with names..hence blob), but they counted for about half a wxp rank each time they died . So yer, you can keep those players.
Give me the oceanic guilds who’ve stuck it out and refused to bandwagon and those I’ll welcome to Mag with open arms. They know how to fight without being more then loot bags on feet.
I can’t wait to meet SBI soon. On a completely, entirely, wholly unrelated matter, does anyone else really want Anet to introduce something bigger then 20slot bags?

Last night BP, with at least double our numbers, snuck in behind us during a tower take and flash built siege just inside the door rather than fight us with 2 to 1 odds. We took out those build sites only to watch them immediately do it again. The sad part is that shows an organized, planned effort to be…pathetic.
Maguuma is no better. Last night in EB we get inside just as they take Wildcreek. Again, at least double our numbers and they decide to throw a superior AC in the lord’s room. Invulnerable lord plus superior AC? GG.

Optional. If you take the time to make new icon colors, take the kitten time to make it optional.
Color blind people are definitely entitled to the same ability as the rest of us to tell the colors apart, but kitten these new scheme makes me feel like all of a sudden im blue-green color blind.

I’ve got to give it to DB. This guy spent 18 hours undetected in our west keep. Then he killed 8 guards and stopped to kill a treb, before jumping out to join his team mates. What dedication!!
Honestly you should have known better by now DB. Its Friday. It’s Maguuma. and I have beer. (which is why you’ll see some windows open that i had no intention of opening.). One day people will learn that a paper, drained keep of Maguumas is not something to be taken lightly. Until then, we’ll delight in extracting the loot from you all.

Wow, you (and others in this thread) really don’t realize there are 4 maps do you? Allow me to tell you of the time’s I’ve built 10 golems on a map where I don’t own a single camp. It would have been 30 but I don’t get the advantage of a zerg or 2 hours to spare.

May as well remove the west keep outer wall entirely with this change. Even a 5% increase in radius will mean the garrison trebs will be safe from the usual AC counter under the cliffs. Same goes for the SM trebs, but that place is another disaster entirely in its own right.
Kitten almighty, I feel embarrassed for JQ (and FA a bit too) and I don’t even play on those servers. Why do people even consider T1/T2 a worthy goal in WvW? There is some serious self image problems going on if anyone considers it a worthy goal.
‘Woohoo we won a laggy, zerged to the max fight../ woohoo we ran around avoiding anything other then a 4:1 fight just in case we die… I can ignore the issues that plague my real life for another few hours’
Hi everyone. Haven’t been around, but I heard there were some serious trolls in this thread so I figured I’d pop in and check it out.
Totally disappointed. The level of Troll in here is nothing compared to the SoS days. Guess I’ll have to lurk for another 3 months before a suitable trollgasm emerges.
