I have finally got around to installing a new SSD , copied the gw2 files across and the client launches fine but becomes unresponsive when I select a character ) character selection screen loads fine).

I have formatted the drive and copied the files across a second time now, also ensure the drive is running the lastest firmware and is connected to the correct SATA 6gb.

DL’ed samsung magician and the drive all reports good, optimised the system for SSD not HDD.

System Specs :

OS : Windows Vista Home premium (yeh I know the OS is kitten)
CPU: i5-3570k
GPU: Asus r9 280x
Ram: 8gb Corsair Vengance
PSU Corsair 1000w gold

Any suggestion would be good.

I would go with portal for quick repositioning and shock attacks.

I run a similar build/gear to the one you have posted and have played memser pretty much since launch. changing the GS for staff will offer you some survivability but slightly reduce your dps.

I never said anything about losing DE it was RS I was questioning, neither did I say that chaos storm did not give Aegis.

Does chaos storm give enough Aegis to justify Retaliatory Shield?

Would mantra mastery be an option to speed ruse time on cleanse/heal support? or possibly Phantasmal fury to up dps slightly.

Just logged into my toon that was stuck in gendarran and the ones in southsun , seems the issue has resolved.

I did manage to get one toon to Mt maeltrom and run coe before trying the others.

Considering I have had an emergency plumber come out and take up the floor boards in 2 of my bedrooms/identify a leak and repair it, then I refitted both carpets and returned all the furnitire the rooms! would it be to much to get a Anet response to this connection issue?

As my plumber had no clue to my connection issue, but at least stopped my house flooding.

Edit: 4 characters in LA can now login normally 2 characters 1 in Southsun 1 in Rata Sum cannot login.
Also tried testing moving 1 of the toons in LA to Southsun same issue just hangs on the load screen.

Same issue, can login to character selection screen but you hangs on loading screen after selecting any character.

Was fine at 4am (gmt) this morning (insomnia) now 1pm (gmt) and cannot access beyond the character slection screen.

Test my connection and everything it fine on my end.

Well , sigh just sigh.

PMage is already very sub par and I a very dedicated torch mesmer this is gonna be a really poinltess ability by the sounds of it.

Male Asuran :- No Trust , orginally a name I used for an alt in planetside when I ditched VS and went NC killing my old friends and allies. But has now carried with me for many years as a main character name, infact been using it for nearly 12 years now.

Made Rogort (torch) first because I really like the stealth on the torch ( oh and managed to get the precursor for 16g).
Now about to make bolt ( not so lucky on the price cost me 328g) , and then I can get to work on Bifrost.

And one last note why does the Mystic forge hate me so much.

Same issue logged out in cursed shore , just outside Arah after clearing the gates yet again to try and get the arah karma vendor to spawn (which it did not btw) tried to log into character this morning and just get a load screen, followed about 5 minutes later by a error 7. I have 4 other characters that all log in fine, none of them in cursed shore.

Been locked out of my character with 90% world complete is very annoying
